The objective of this research was to explore the purchase behaviors of K-pop idol goods. Two hundred and sixty female idol goods purchasers in their twenties participated in an online survey. Cheering tools were the most often purchased idol goods, followed by idol slogans and dolls. To investigate the difference in idol goods' attributes they considered when shopping, respondents were divided into three purchase groups based on their annual total expense for purchasing idol goods. There were significant differences among light, medium and heavy purchasers in terms of goods' price, practical features, and scarcity. The light shopper group was majorly guided by price and practical features as compared to the other two groups, and heavy shopper group was majorly guided by scarcity attribute than in the other two shopper groups. The more they identified their favorite idols, the more they worked hard, the higher their income, the higher the expenses of investing in idol products, the more likely they were to repurchase idol goods. In term of post-purchase behavior of idol goods, most idol goods purchase by fans were stored rather than used, and few indicated that they purchase two identical idol goods for use and storage.

  • To analyze the consumer's purchase pattern, we must consider a factor which is a cultural, social, individual, psychological and so on. If we consider the internal state by the consumer's purchase, Both the consumer's purchase action and the purchase factor can be predicted, so the corporation can use effectively in suitable goods development in a consumer's preference. These factors need a technology that treat uncertain information, because it is difficult to analyze by directly information processing. Therefore, bayesian network manages elements those the observation of inner state such as consumer's purchase is difficult. In addition, it is interpretable about data that the observation is impossible. In this paper, we examine the seller's know-how and the way of consumer's purchase to analyze consumer's purchase action pattern through goods purchase. Also, we compose the bayesian network based on the examined data, and propose the method that predicts purchase patterns. Finally, we remove the data including unnecessary attribute using the bayesian network, and analyze the consumer's Purchase pattern using Kohonen's SOM method.

  • This study had purpose to examine the consumers preference and buying property of processed products by rice, barley, wheat, bean. For the study, the interview was conducted of 300 samples more than 19 years of age. We attempt to examine consumers' preference and individual properties when purchasing processed grain products. Questionnaire was filled for the 23 variable by referring to previous studies to investigate the properties to consider when consumer purchasing the products. To conceptualize, reduce the high correlation parameters by factor analysis. The results attribute to seven factors that safety, brand/image, taste/shelf life, convenience seeking, preferred high-quality, price, consumption patterns. These properties showed significant differences in demographics. First, there was statistically difference by age in safety, brand/image, high quality preference, taste/shelf life. Second, Safety and high-quality preference were the difference between jobs, and depending on household income were significant difference in consumption patterns. We analyzed the purchasing preference by purchase frequency. Ramen, bread, beer are higher purchase frequency than any processed grain products. On the other hand, frozen rice, soybean paste, red pepper paste that are used primarily domestic raw, were lower purchase frequency. But the difference of purchase property according to products was very similar that the highest factor is price, the following factor as taste. Based on these findings, the implications and the limitations of the study were presented.

  • This study evaluated how fresh pear cognition variables influences the purchase of primary and secondary products to promote pear consumption. The survey was performed online using 200 consumers who have consumed pears. Consumers' cognition was classified into two groups, one that was more favorable toward fresh pears and one that was less favorable. The cognition toward pear significantly affected the attitude (p<0.001) and purchase intention (p<0.001) toward fresh pear. When consumers bought fresh pear, sweetness was most important among the selection attributes to both groups, and the most common reason why consumers liked the pear analyzed by check all that apply (CATA) was also sweet taste. However, the negative group did not prefer fresh pear because of taste and texture, so those qualities should be well-controlled. In addition, cognition toward primary products influenced liking and purchase intention of processed pear products, especially beverages (p<0.001), bakeries and sweets (p<0.05). Therefore, these types of secondary products should be developed based on consumers' demands.

The data for this study were collected over 10 days from April 10 through April 19, 2013. For empirical research, married women over the age of 20 in Gwangju with buying experience of Hangwa were surveyed. A total of 172 questionnaires were completed and statistically analyzed by SPSS 18.0 package. Analysis rate was 96.6%. To review Hangwa purchase behaviors, most respondents bought Hangwa four or five times per year for memorial services or ancestral rites. Respondents bought Hangwa at big supermarkets and the types of Hangwa bought were Yukwa and Yakgwa. Their average expenses were 20,000 to 30,000 won per purchase. Among purchase attributes of Hangwa, respondents considered the importance of 'sanitation' (4.76 points) a top priority, followed by 'origin' (4.75 points), 'quality' (4.74 points), 'taste' (4.57 points) and 'appearance' (3.82 points). However in the case of satisfaction, 'sanitation' (3.85 points) was the most satisfying aspect, followed by 'package' (3.82 points), 'amount' (3.80 points), 'appearance' (3.51 points) and 'taste' (3.41 points). According to the IPA results, 'quality' and 'origin' purchase attributes, should be quickly improved. 'Sanitation' and 'taste' should be maintained. This survey found that satisfaction levels for Hangwa purchase attributes had a significant influence on overall satisfaction (F=29.11, p<.001), and especially 'taste' ($\beta$=.42, t=6.69, p<.001) had a meaningful effect on overall satisfaction. In addition, satisfaction levels for Hangwa purchase attributes affected repurchase intention (F=20.05, p<.001). From these results, Hangwa manufacturers should make efforts in product development to induce customers satisfaction and repurchase intention.
