  • The pulse diagnosis studies reported to date has mainly been performed to clinically reveal the pulse wave characteristics according to the specific diseases, whereas no attempts have been made to study the effects on the pulse wave characteristics of the daily activities such as taking meals, exercise, and sleep, etc. This work reports the effect of feeding stimulus on the healthy subjects on the pulse wave pattern which has quantitatively been analyzed using the objective model for the pulse diagnosis in oriental medicine. The pulse waves right before/after the meal and 30 minutes after the meal were measured using the pulse analyzing equipment (3D-Mac, Daeyo Medi, Korea) and at the same time oriental medicine doctors' diagnoses were given. The pulse parameters obtained from the equipment and clinical records on the subjects were statistically processed and the variables showing statistically significant differences were analyzed. The results indicate that the pulse pressure, the pulse rate, and the respiratory rate increase while the blood pressure decreases after the meal. For the floating/sinking and the deficient/excess coefficients characterizing the pulse states described in the oriental medicine, the floating/sinking coefficients were observed to decrease whereas the deficiency/excess coefficients increase after the meal. The results indicates that besides the standard bio-indicators like blood pressure and respiratory rate, etc., the pulse wave characterization in terms of the pulse classifications in the oriental medicine using the floating/sinking, deficient/excess pulse states provide an important piece of biomedical information.

  • It is as result that study to apply mini magnet nerve curer in peripheral nervous system disease treatment. Simulator and embodied action power and Control Unit in cylinder form of magnet roof object firstly. Yielded service area about special quality of probe of loop object cylinder style and treatment area dimension and distance of treatment pulse secondly. Embody pulse forming course energy value by Probe's form by third, could embody treatment pulse by disease. Specially, through a special quality experiment, saved Damping pulse form and treatment digital forming etc. variously. Lately, embodied this to aid a little in disease treatment that follow that there is no invasion that there is no stimulation by medicine development. Neuralgia, muscular disease and Altzheimer, with stroke etc. is becoming the matter of concern and interest which disease of adult etc. it is same is important. And the melancholia in compliance with the modern direction of a ceremony which is complicated and garrulous, trillion it will cry and symptoms, it is a tendency where the emotional obstacle etc. nervous psychiatric disorder patient is increasing at class speed. But currently the applicator it will be able to treat like this disease almost it is a condition which is wholly lacking. Consequently like this disease it used magnetic stimulation and it diagnosed and the equipment it will be able to treat plan and it embodied.

  • Objectives : This study was done to find the philological origin of the concept of pulse of the vital gate being assigned left or right according to sex distinction, and study its theoretical features that had been applied to clinical diagnosis. Methods : Medical books such as Maijue(脈訣), Leizheng Huorenshu(類證活人書), Maijuezhizhang(脈訣指掌), Yixuerumen(醫學入門), which directly mentions or having been considered to mention such concept of pulse of the vital gate, were inquired to find the philological origin of the concept. And after the philological origin was confirmed, combination between this concept and traditional pulse theory was also discussed. Results & Conclusions : The philological origin of the concept was confirmed as having the Taoist origin. In this study it was discussed through the contents of Xiyuedouxiansheng Xiuzhenzhinan(西嶽竇先生修眞指南). A term that is called 'the vital pulse(命脈)' appears in this book, and it could be said that the concept of 'the vital pulse' which is assigned on left or right according to sex distinction in the book like this had lead the pulse assignment of the vital gate into such a form that considers the sex distinction. After being accepted in medical theory, this concept also had been united with traditional pulse theory that appears in Nanjing(難經) and Maijing(脈經) to become a applicable theory in clinical diagnosis.

  • This paper presents a method to suppress multipath induced by pulses using supervised learning. In modern electronics, pulses have been used for various purposes such as communication or distance measurements. Like other signals, pulses also suffer from multipath. When a pulse and a multipath are overlapped, the original pulse shape is distorted. The distorted pulse could result in communication failures or distance measurement errors. However, a large number of samples available from a pulse can be used to effectively reject multipath by using a supervised learning method. This paper introduces how a supervised learning method can be applied to Distance Measuring Equipment. Simulation results show that multipath induced distance measuring error can be suppressed by 10 ~ 45 percent depending on the allowed pulse shape variation allowed in a standard.

  • In this paper, a new method for reducing harmonic in input AC line currents of converter presents, which is the multi-pulse converter circuit without the input transformer. This system can reduce the harmonic like conventional 12-pulse converter. Both the bridge circuits are controlled with the shifted firing angle and connected 2 tap inter-phase reactor. Using 2 tap changing on inter-phase reactor, the input current is controlled with the different two values in order to make the input current waveform 12 pulses.

  • Recently, analysis of transient Raman backscattering in a plasma reported(2.3) that it is possible to reach 10$\^$17/ W/cm$^2$ for 1 micrometer wavelength laser pulse with a counter-propagating pump pulse. The basic mechanism is like this : whorl the two counter-propagating waves in a plasma satisfy the condition of Raman backscattering, w$\_$0/ : w$\_$1/ + w$\_$p/, energy is transferred from the long pulse to the short pulse via three wave interaction(4). • One of the most difficult problem of designing VLSI is a mixed-circuit design, that is to design circuit containing both analog parts and digital parts. Digital to analog converter and analog to digital converter is a typical case. Especially it can be a serious problem when mixed circuit are put into a large digital circuit like microcontroller. However nowadays this problem is settled by separating analog circuit parts outside the IC. This technique is based on converting a digital signal into a pulse sequence. Then an analog signal is obtained by averaging this pulse sequence at the external low-pass filter. An anlog to digital converter is designed using a stochastic logic instead of a traditional PWM (pulse-width modulation) signal and ins implemente dusing FPGa. Stochastic pulse sequence can be made as a simple circuits and moreover can be mathematically processed by simple circuits -AND gates. The spectral property of stochastic pulse sequence method is better than that of PWM method. So it make easy to design a external low-pass filter. This technique has important advantages, especially the reduction of the ADC cost.

  • Since pulse energization can improve the performance of Electrostatic Precipitator(ESP) for high resistivity dusts, high voltage micro-pulse generators, 70kV 140usec duration pulses for instance, are commonly developed by LC resonance for most pulse powered ESPs. Consisting of discharge electrodes and collecting electrodes, ESP has its own capacitance like a capacitor. ESP's capacitance affects the LC resonance phenomenon with resonance inductor and capacitor of micro-pulse power supply, engineers should acquire the value of their ESP to design for proper power supply design. In this study, we describe the ESP's capacitance measuring device which has the same topology with our new developed micro-pulse power supply. In this microcontroller based capacitance measuring equipment, ESP's capacitance can be calculated easily through ...

  • In this paper, We propose the selective detection scheme based on pulse repetition considering Bit Error Rate (BER) performance and complexity of noncoherent Ultra Wide Band (UWB) systems. To consider system complexity, the proposed scheme transmits the UWB signals by pulse repetition at the transmitter, like the conventional Pulse Repetition Coding (PRC). However, to effectively improve BER performance of the system the proposed scheme performs selective detection by estimating the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) of the received pulse-repeated signal at the receiver. Hence, the proposed scheme effectively improves BER performance of the noncoherent UWB systems without increase of the system complexity, as compared to the conventional PRC algorithm.
