비정격(脾正格) 자침이 정상 성인 맥파(脈波) 변화에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Sa-Am Spleen-tonifying Acupuncture on Radial Pulse in Healthy Human Subjects)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Sa-Am spleen-tonifying acupuncture on radial pulse in healthy human subjects. Methods : Forty healthy human subjects participated in this study, divided into acupuncture group and control group. Radial pulse was measured by 3 dimensional pulse imaging system(DMP-3000) before, right after, 30 minutes after and 60 minutes after acupuncture in the acupuncture group. The subjects in the control group didn't received acupuncture but took a rest and then the radial pulse was measured at the same time points as the acupuncture group. The parameters were analyzed by gender, measuring location, and measuring time point. However the time related parameters exceptionally were analyzed without distinction of measuring location. Results : 1. T, variance of period, T2/T, T4/T, (T-T4)/T, T4/(T-T4), and W significantly changed after acupuncture. 2. Pressure, amplitude of H1, amplitude of H2, Amplitude of H4 and pulse energy significantly changed after acupuncture. 3. Pulse area, systolic pulse area and diastolic pulse area significantly changed after acupuncture. 4. Elasticity, AIx and AIx/HR significantly changed after acupuncture. Conclusions : The effect of Sa-Am spleen-tonifying acupuncture in healthy human may be observed on time, amplitude, pulse area and augmentation index. Further studies on the effects of Sa-Am acupuncture using radial pulse are needed.

음식섭취에 따른 좌우(左右) 촌관척(寸關尺) 6부위 맥파의 주파수 분석 (A Study on the Effect of Food Intake on Radial Pulse using Fourier Analysis)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of food intake on the Fourier components of radial pulse wave. Methods: Thirty-one healthy male subjects participated in this study. Radial pulse was measured using 3 dimensional pulse imaging system (DMP-3000) before, right after, 40 minutes after, 80 minutes after and 120 minutes after food intake. Fourier transform was performed and the frequency and amplitude of Fourier components were analyzed. Results: 1. The frequency and the amplitude of Fourier components of radial pulse wave increased significantly after food intake. 2. The frequency of Fourier components increased right after food intake and then gradually decreased as time passed, however the amplitude of Fourier components increased and maintained certain levels and patterns throughout the experimental period of 120 minutes. 3. The change ratios of the frequency and the amplitude of Fourier components after food intake varied with the pulse measuring locations. Conclusions: Food intake exerts an influence on radial pulse wave, resulting in increase of frequency and amplitude of Fourier components. The change ratios of the frequency and the amplitude of Fourier components after food intake varied with the pulse measuring locations.

반사파를 이용한 지중케이블의 고장점 탐지연구 (Fault Location of Underground Cables Using Travelling Wave)

  • In this paper, we made an experiment on fault location of underground cables with travelling wave. The 5C2V coaxial cables of 100, 200m length, connected with discharge gap, are used for simplifying model cable lines of power cable. And 100KHz -2MHz CT and HV probe are installed at one side of the ends. We made travelling pulse in discharge gab and then pulse travelled along the cable to the both ends. Therefore, it is detected in CT and HV probe. Measuring the time difference of the pulse start and arrival, we were able to obtain the distance of pulse travelling. Consequently, our experimental results show the possibility to detect fault location of underground cables with travelling wave.

  • Pulse diagnosis refers to the process of diagnosing a patient by feeling an artery on the wrist based on the shape that the pulse take s while the hold-down pressure increase. The styloid process artery on the wrist is usually felt, and the pulse is taken on Chon, Gwan and Cheok using three fingers. This study is to examine the structural difference in the location of pulse diagnosis by measuring and analyzing blood diameter, blood depth, and blood flow velocity of the location of pulse diagnosis by using ultrasonic wave (VOLUSION730 PRO, GE Medical, U.S.A). This study also attempted to grasp whether the characteristics of blood vessels differ depending on Body Mass Index (BMI) and analyzed their correlation with Oriental medical pulse diagnosis. The male subjects without cardiovascular diseases were divided into the normal BMI group, the underweight group and the overweight group and 10 people of each group were measured, Blood depth, blood diameter and blood flow velocity at the location of pulse diagnosis (Chon, Gwan, Cheok) of the wrists of left and right hands were measured and the pulse wave was measured by using pulse diagnosis instrument (3-D Mac, DaeyoMedi, Korea).The results of this study showed that the characteristics of blood vessels differ depending on the degrees of obesity, and the characteristics of floating pulse and sinking pulse of Oriental medical pulses were related to the degrees of obesity. This shows that the characteristics of the blood vessels of subjects and BMI information are the major indicators for diagnosis and are the matters that must always be considered when developing the algorithm of pulse diagnosis.

2개 센서를 이용한 부분방전 위치추정 기법 연구 (A Study on the Partial Discharge Location Method using 2 Sensors)

  • This study deals with the location of partial discharges(PDs) for power cables and GIS using 2 PD sensors and long coaxial signal cables. Throughout the experiments by use of simulated PD pulses and corona discharges in the power cable system, it is found out that the impedance matching between the coaxial signal cable and the measuring equipment should be done for good S/N ratio and the on-site measurement using more than 100m-long coaxial signal cable is possible. In addition, new PD location algorithm with the polarities of PD pulses and the arrival time difference between two pulses was proposed and was proved through the partial discharge experiments for the cable joint defect and artificial void defect.

Estimation of baroreflex sensitivity using pulse arrival time rather than systolic blood pressure measurement

  • Baroreflex sensitivity (BRS) is a parameter of the cardiovascular system that is reflected in changes in pulse interval (PD and systolic blood pressure (SBP). BRS contains information about how the autonomic nervous system regulates hemodynamic homeostasis. Normally the beat-to-beat SBP measurement and the pulse interval measured from the electrocardiogram (ECG) are required to estimate the BRS. We investigated the possibility of measuring BRS in the absence of a beat-to-beat SBP measurement device. Pulse arrival time (PAT), defined as the time between the R-peak of the ECG and a single characteristic point on the pulse wave recorded from any arterial location was measured by photoplethysmography. By comparing the BRS obtained from conventional measurements with our method during controlled breathing, we confirmed again that PAT and SBP are closely correlated, with a correlation coefficient of -0.82 to -0.95. The coherence between SBP and PI at a respiration frequency of 0.07-0.12 Hz was similar to the coherence between PAT and PI. Although the ranges and units of measurement are different (ms/mmHg vs. ms/ms) for BRS measured conventionally and by our method, the correlation is very strong. Following further investigation under various conditions, BRS can be reliably estimated without the inconvenient and expensive beat-to-beat SBP measurement.

펄스 레이저와 CFPI를 이용한 이종금속 접촉부의 이물질 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement of Foreign Material in Dissimilar Metal Contact Using Pulse Laser and Confocal Fabry-Perot Interferometer)

  • 레이저 초음파검사 장치는 레이저 빔을 이용하여 초음파 신호를 발생시키고 측정하는 비접촉식 결함 검사 장치이다. 이 장치는 펄스 레이저 빔을 이용하여 광대역 주파수 범위를 갖는 초음파 신호를 발생시키고 작은 점으로 집속된 레이저 빔을 이용하여 초음파 신호를 측정하므로 우수한 측정 분해능을 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 이종금속 접촉부식(갈바닉 부식) 현상을 레이저를 이용한 비파괴, 비접촉 방법으로 측정하였다. 부식된 부분에 이물질이 혼합되는 경우를 가정하고, 레이저 초음파 실험을 진행하였다. 시편의 뒷면에서 펄스 레이저로 초음파를 발생시키고, 같은 위치의 앞면에서 CW 레이저와 CFPI를 이용하여 초음파 신호를 획득하였다. 이물질이 존재하는 부분의 초음파 신호 특성을 분석하여 이물질의 위치 및 크기를 측정하였다.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find the effects of Sa-Am lung tonifying acupuncture on radial pulse through the parameters difference. Methods : Forty healthy subjects participated in this study, acupuncture group and control group were divided. Compared various parameters of radial pulse between two groups, and the significantly changed 16 parameters ware measured using 3 dimensional pulse imaging system(DMP-3000) before, right after, 30 minutes after, and 60 minutes after acupuncture at Chon, Gwan, Cheok in acupucture group. Results : After lung tonifying acupuncture, radial pulse 16 parameters were showed changes significantly according to the time at each measuring location. 1. Heart rate, T2/T, T5, T5/T and W/T significantly decreased, W significantly increased. 2. Modulus of elasticity significantly decreased in left Cheok. 3. Amplitude of H4 significantly increased in left Gwan and right Cheok. 4. AIx, AIxHR significantly decreased in left Gwan and significantly increased in right Chon. 5. Area of pulse, area of W significantly increased in right Cheok. 6. Pulse energy, energy/min, EIx significantly decreased in left Cheok. 7. Maximum variation time of each parameter is showed different according to the parameter. Conclusions : Lung tonifying acupuncture exerts an influence on radial purse parameters. Further radial pulse change study on various acupuncture treatment is required.

편마비 환자를 위한 근전도 유발 기능적 전기자극기의 개발과 이상적인 전극부착 위치 (Development of EMG-Triggered FES System and Optimal Electrode Location for Chronic Hemiplegic Patients)

  • 편마비 환자에서 상지 기능을 효과적으로 회복시키기 위하여 근전도 유발 기능적 전기자극기 개발과 편마비 환자를 대상으로 손목, 수지신전 운동 시 가장 효과적으로 근수축을 감지 할 수 있는 위치와 전기 자극 시 가장 이상적인 손목, 수지 신전 운동이 일어나는 부위를 탐색하여 두 부과가 일치하는 이상적인 전극부착 위치를 설정하였다. 1) 전기자극 시스템으로 EMC 계측부, 정전류 회로부를 개발하고 프로그램으로는 근전도 유발 전기자극기와 Passive FES의 동작이 가능한 형태로 개발하였다 자극조건은 주파수 35 Hz, 펄스폭 150 ${\mu}\textrm{s}$, 비대칭적 이상성 파형을 선택하였다. 2) 상지 편마비 환자 15명을 대상으로 전완의 근위부 1/2부위를 12개의 영역으로 나눈 후 근위부의 외측으로부터 영역의 순서를 정하였다. 각 영역에서 환자의 손목을 신전 하였을 때 근전도 유발 자극기가 감지하는 활동전위의 진폭을 측정하였으며 가장 크게 감지된 영역은 4, 5 영역이었고, 전기자극을 시행하였을 때 손목과 수지부위가 신전 되는 모양이 이상적인 영역은 4, 5, 7, 8 영역이었다. 근전도 유발 전기자극을 시행하였을 때 근 수축을 감지하여 근전도 유발 전기자극이 일어나는 일련의 과정이 이상적인 영역은 해부학적으로 4, 5 영역이었다.

Signal Processing Algorithm to Reduce RWR Electro-Magnetic Interference with Tail Rotor Blade of Helicopter

  • In the environment where various and complicated threat signals exist, RWR (Radar Warning Receiver), which can warn pilot of the existence of threats, has long been a necessary electronic warfare (EW) system to improve survivability of aircraft. The angle of arrival (AOA) information, the most reliable sorting parameter in the RWR, is measured by means of four-quadrant amplitude comparison direction finding (DF) technique. Each of four antennas (usually spiral antenna) of DF unit covers one of four quadrant zones, with 90 degrees apart with nearby antenna. According to the location of antenna installed in helicopter, RWR is subject to signal loss and interference by helicopter body and structures including tail bumper, rotor blade, and so on, causing a difficulty of detecting hostile emitters. In this paper, the performance degradation caused by signal interference by tail rotor blades has been estimated by measuring amplitude video signals into which RWR converts RF signals in case a part of antenna is screened by real tail rotor blade in anechoic chamber. The results show that corruption of pulse amplitude (PA) is main cause of DF error. We have proposed two algorithms for resolving the interference by tail rotor blades as below: First, expand the AOA group range for pulse grouping at the first signal analysis phase. Second, merge each of pulse trains with the other, that signal parameter except PRI and AOA is similar, after the first signal analysis phase. The presented method makes it possible to use RWR by reducing interference caused by blade screening in case antenna is screened by tail rotor blades.
