Aesthetic Education of Young People As a Necessary Condition for Cultural Development of the Individual in Modern Conditions of the Information Society

  • The article reveals the problems of aesthetic education of young people as a necessary condition for the cultural development of the individual in the modern conditions of the information society. Aesthetic education should contribute to the formation of a creatively active personality. The basis of aesthetic education of young people in the modern conditions of the information society is the core of artistic culture - art as a unique form of public consciousness that contributes to the spiritual development and improvement of the inner world of a person. The main tasks of aesthetic education are highlighted. It is focused on the formation of aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic behavior of the individual. The formation of true aesthetic and spiritual values of students is impossible without a deep awareness of the national foundations of culture, which combines science (including technology), education, art, morality, way of life and worldview, and most importantly its information component - information culture. The effectiveness of aesthetic education of students largely depends on the skillful use of various methods and means by teachers. Aesthetic education of students involves a qualitative change in the level of their aesthetic culture in the modern conditions of the information society. In the era of information and computer technologies, the main Institute for aesthetic education of young people, as a necessary condition for the cultural development of the individual, is mass media. Television stands out especially because it has several information series (audio and video sequence), multiplied by the efficiency of providing information that increases several times compared to paper media, which allows you to report directly during the event.

청소년을 위한 '이동과학교실' 사례연구를 통한 재미있는 과학의 특성 연구 (Young People's Enjoyment of Science through the 'Mobile Science Lab' Program)

  • The 'Mobile Science Lab' is a public program designed to bring teenagers to be engaged in the activities of science and technology. In this study, we attended to elementary school students' participating actions in the program and intended to understand their enjoyment of science from sociocultural and practical perspectives. By drawing on case materials culled from our database, we articulated the features of the enjoyable science activities in the form of two major claims. First, students had rich opportunities to communicate emotionality, which therefore grounds emerging actions on the positive emotional valence. Second, ongoing actions opened up new action possibilities not only to the actors themselves, but also to other community members. The results of this study constitute theoretical frameworks for understanding enjoyment without dichotomizing emotion and cognition, and thereby contribute to designing enjoyable activities of learning science.

Impacts of Foreign Direct Investment on Human Capital in ASEAN

  • Purpose: Research and development of human capital in countries bring sustainable development to the nations. Especially for developing countries, the attraction of foreign direct investment not only brings economic growth to the country but also contributes to improving human capital. This study aims to assess the impact of foreign direct investment on human capital in ASEAN countries. Research design, data and methodology: With data collected from ASEAN countries from 1990 to 2019, panel data analysis is performed with revised model types (the Pooled OLS, Fixed effect model, Random effect model and regression with Driscoll-Kraay standard errors). Result: The results of the regression analysis show that FDI has a positive impact on human capital. At the same time, the study also found that public investment in education also positively affects human capital; the life expectancy factor does not affect human capital. Conclusions: With this research result, the authors also proposed a number of solutions to improve human capital by attracting FDI and improving the efficiency of investment for the education of ASEAN countries. Besides, public expenditure on education also plays an important role in raising human capital. Therefore, investment in education should be promoted further in the future.

Supply Chain Analysis in Public Works: The Role of Work Climate, Supervision and Organizational Learning

  • The study aims to analyze the supply chain role of supervision, discipline, work climate, and organizational learning on the performance of community services at the public works. This study took a sample of employees through purposive sampling technique at the Public Works Office and Bina Marga in a regency in East Java. Data through questionnaire was collected through a 5-point Likert scale model. The results show that the application of employee discipline affects the performance of public services, with a contribution of 39.7%, meaning that discipline and organizational learning are implementation factors that have an effect on public service performance. In stepwise regression analysis, the supervisory factor has a correlation with service performance, but it is less relevant, while the work climate is not relevant as a predictor variable to improve public service performance. The study revealed the importance of the supply chain policy of implementing good and clean governance and the enactment of the performance appraisal of the government apparatus established through Good Corporate Governance of the state apparatus. The findings provide a basis to encourage the public sector performance to smooth every step of supply chain management of every government project work, especially in the field of public services.

Identification of Impurities in a Sample of Illicitly Synthesized Methamphetamine

  • Analysis of illicit methamphetamine samples seized in Korea is discussed. The samples are extracted with the small portion of ethyl acetate under neutral conditions and the extracts are analyzed by GC-MS. Several impuritiy peaks are found in each chromatrogram. Eight compunds (1,2-Dimethyl-3-phenylaziridine, amphetamine oxime, ephedrine, N-formylmethamphetamine, N-acetylmethamphetamine, acetylephedrine, 3,4-dimethyl-5-phenyl-2-oxazolidone, methamphetamine dimer) are identified impurities in illicit methamphetamine and the identity of the impurity is conformed synthesis. 미디어정보 리터러시 교육 제도 및 정책 분석 - 공공도서관을 중심으로 - (Analysis of Media and Information Literacy Education System, and Policies: Focusing on Public Libraries)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내외 미디어정보 리터러시 교육 제도와 정책을 분석하여 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 공공도서관의 기능이 포함된 UNESCO, IFLA, EU, OECD가 발행한 문서를 검토하였으며 국내 미디어정보 리터러시 관련 법령과 정책 및 유관 기관의 기능을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 국제기구는 정규교육과정과 정규교육과정 밖에 있는 시민이 정보에 접근하고 지식을 공유할 수 있도록 하는 기관으로 공공도서관을 인식하였다. 또한, 디지털 기술을 포함한 미디어정보 리터러시 향상에 대한 책무성이 있는 평생교육과 시민교육 기관으로 공공도서관을 활용하였다. 도서관법에는 국민의 알권리와 정보 격차 해소를 위해 공공도서관과 사서에게 시민들의 미디어정보 리터러시 향상에 대한 책무성이 부여되어 있으나 국내 미디어정보 리터러시 정책에서 공공도서관의 기능과 사서의 역할은 축소되거나 배제되었다. 본 연구는 공공도서관과 사서가 시민들의 정보 격차를 줄이며 시민역량으로 미디어정보 리터러시 향상 정책에 적극적으로 참여해야 하는 책무성이 있음을 밝히고 있다.

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the type of customer which is essential to agricultural extension service, specify their needs and identify the performance level of public agricultural extension organization by the needs of customer. To meet these purpose, we conducted a focus group interview and surveyed the agricultural extension workforce. The results of this study are as follows. First, we classify the customer of agricultural extension service as 9 types. Second, the needs by customer types are specified 12 types. Third, those who attached to Rural agricultural development administration and agricultural research and extension service organization in provinces recognize them selves as more performing organization than agricultural technology center in region, except one area.

Soil and Soil Science Education in the Primary School Through Appearance of "흙[heuk], Soil" in the Korean Reading Textbook

  • Public education on soil and soil science in Korea was reviewed through textbooks written in Korean which were used in the primary schools since 1950's. Numbers of words 흙[heuk], the Korean native word meaning soil, and 토양[土壤, toyang], originated from Chinese characters, were counted, and compared with the textbooks published in 1950's, 1970's, and 1990's, 2010's. The Korean native word "heuk" was used 20 times in 1950's, and increased to 55 times in 1970's. In 1990's version, it was decreased to 31 times and to 20 times in the 2010's version. The first appearance in the 1950's version was in the 3rd grade book, but was in the $1^{st}$ grade books in both 1990's and 2010's. In this recent version, the primary school students met this word on the poet, "Toad, Toad build a house", and "Sprout come out through soil clod". The word, "토양, toyang", originated from Chinese characters, 土壤, appears only 2 times in the $6^{th}$ grade in 2010's version. Authors conclusively recommend children should learn meaning of soil at early stage of primary school easily with positive image.

한국의 보건소 근무 치과위생사의 공중구강보건사업 수행업무실태와 대학교육간의 연관성 (Usefulness of Dental Hygiene Education Curriculum in the Public Oral Health Service Performance in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 현행 치위생과 구강보건관리 영역 교육과정이 보건(지)소 업무 수행에 미치는 활용도를 알아보고자 하였다. 이에 치위생과 31개 대학의 구강보건관리 영역 교과목의 시간 수를 조사 분석하고, 보건(지)소에 근무하는 치과위생사 96명을 대상으로 보건소에서 구강보건교육학 및 실습, 치면세마론 및 예방치과학 실습, 공중구강보건학 실습 및 구강보건통계학 영역의 업무빈도, 교육내용의 유용성, 중요성, 강화성에 관한 설문조사를 실시하여 치위생과의 교육과정과 보건(지)소 업무 사이의 연관성을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 치위생과 교과목 관련 보건(지)소 업무로는 치면열구전색이 주 1회 이상 가장 많이 실시하고, 교육내용이 매우 유용한 것으로도 치면열구전색이라고 가장 많이 응답하였다. 매우 중요한 교육내용은 대상자별 잇솔질법, 교육내용이 더욱 강화되어야 한다고 생각하는 항목으로는 대상자별 구강보건교육이라고 가장 많이 응답하였다. 2. 업무빈도와 교육내용의 유용성과의 연관성에서, 업무빈도가 가장 높은 치면열구전색이 교육내용 중에서 가장 유용한 것으로 나타났고, 교육내용이 중요한 대상자별 잇솔질교육, 치면열구전색, 대상자별 구강보건관리는 더욱 강화되어야 한다고 나타났다. 또한 업무빈도가 높은 업무일수록 더욱 강화되어야 한다고 나타났다. 3. 구강보건교육학 및 실습 영역은 업무빈도에 비해 교육 학습시간수가 적으므로 더욱 강화되어야하고, 치면세마론 및 예방치과학 실습은 불소도포, 치면열구전색, 대상자별 구강건강관리 또한 학습시간수의 부족으로 더욱 강화되어야 한다고 나타났다.

서울시민의 보행과 건강증진에 관한 시스템 사고 기반의 구조 탐색 (A systems thinking approach to explore the structure of urban walking and health promotion in Seoul)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to examine systems behavior of urban walking by analyzing a dynamic structure in Seoul, South Korea. Methods: As a systems thinking approach to urban walking and health promotion, we developed a Casual Loop Diagram based on literature review and expert consultation. The reviewed literature included: 1) qualitative studies that explores the experiences of urban walkers in Seoul; 2) a systematic review study on the built environmental factors related to walking; 3) policy research reports related to urban walking in Seoul. Results: The feedback structure for urban walking was related to the three urban environments (safety & walking environment, socioeconomic environment, and public transportation environment), and was characterized by a trade-off consisting of eight reinforcing loops and four balancing loops. Conclusions: The policies for a walkable city require multi-sectoral cooperation in order to change the causal loop structure related to the decline of walking. Therefore, it is necessary to establish legal and institutional conditions so that multi-sectoral and multidisciplinary approaches are possible.
