To design and construct a museum of art involves the interest of artists, architects, curatorship, management, and local government. More than this direct relationship, museum obliges the public a mission of delivering genuine public experience through art and architecture. However, most of Modern and contemporary architecture has not delivered genuine public experience of integrated art and architecture. Conceptual message of art and perceptual architectural exhibition space has not been integrated easily. Picture frame canvas initiated this schism and institutionalized museum management hampered the creativity of artists. This schism was overcome through artists' questioning of museum culture and creative works that embrace work and its environment. In contemporary culture, installation art and media art necessitates a new museum format which needs not only exhibition, but laboratory and interface space with viewers. This paper will regroup the existing museum according to its use and strategy, and reinterpret progressive museums that fosters young artists, and more than this, will introduce successfully established museums for new forms of art, which are equipped with versatile exhibition spaces, innovative interface between works and viewers, and own laboratory that can produce works of art. These examples will envision a creative method of art and architecture production that can achieve genuine public experience.
This study aims to find the significance of the convention-related public organizations workers' cognition about the importance of public marketing activities. As well as to analysize the outcome of convention organization of public marketing activities holding positive, negative effects and the host brands value relationship. In order to strategically maintain the importance of conventions' differentiation marketing and the brands value of exhibition organization, this research is necessary to explore the importance of public marketing activities held by the public value and brand image link here. In order to construct the convention destination's competitiveness and the differentiation of public marketing strategy, it is necessary to investigate the relation of convention organizations' public marketing activities' importance recognization and destination effections, destination brand value. As the results we can propose the implication of public marketing activities can enhance the competitive.
Museums after '70's shows remarkable development in public area as well as exhibiiton area. One of the main changes in recent museums is to extend the concept of circulatin area, which regarded solely as a corridor connecting exhibition areas, as a multiple function area with various service facilities. This study aims to outline atypological classification of exhibition area considering with circulation area in museum. On the base of two principal types of exhibition area, that is room type vs open plant type, 30 representative worldwide museums are analyzed and four different types are identified as a result. 1) Loop type as a rotating structure of serial exhibition rooms 2) Cluster type which produce complicated circulation with rooms lied one upon another 3) Centrum type which is specially available to multistory exhibition area 4) Loft type with maximum flexibi쇼 and accessbility.
The purposes of natural science museums are to educate the general public on the principles and application of science, and help them understand various aspects of science technology. Data should be analyzed by considering these educational aspects of exhibition, and the methods of presenting exhibits should be decided. Accordingly, the composition of exhibition contents with various exhibition elements has an important role at natural science museums. The relation and structure of exhibition themes are significant factors in helping visitors understand the principles of science and a system of viewing circulation can be used as an important tool for understanding the flow of exhibition. In other words, at the planning stage for the composition of exhibition contents, the relation of exhibition themes as well as the circulation patterns of viewers can induce active viewing behaviors. Therefore, centering on the patterns of viewing circulation as well as on the connectivity of exhibition themes at natural science museums, the purposes of this research are: 1) to conceptualize the composition of exhibition contents; and 2) to find elements that can induce active viewing behaviors by analyzing visitors' viewing behaviors. This research was establishing an analytical indicator of contact for viewing behaviors observed from the composition of exhibition scenarios, the active viewing patterns of engagement, first contact, and repeated contact were analyzed. First, a composition pattern with a high participation rate, in contact with exhibits, was found to induce an overall-viewing circulation and have a big ring of the composition of exhibition themes. Second, by inducing a partial-viewing circulation pattern, a high rate of first contacts was observed from a ring pattern of theme connection. Even for the structure with theme connection with depth, a high frequency of contacts with various exhibits was found when exhibition themes have a ring pattern. Third, the repeated contacts were mostly found in the form of scenarios, which has a successive structure of ring and cross patterns.
Cheoungju International Craft Biennale is not just an art exhibition but more like a pubic festival which is including an experiential learning and a public participation section as well as a special exhibition and an international competition section. Thus it is strongly required to present an appropriate meaning and mood corresponding to each exhibition hall. The paper has examined the exhibition topics during the last 10 years and the plannings and contents to install the exhibition hall according the yearly topic and it has analyzed the comprehensive evaluations after the exhibition. The research scope is limited to the part related to the exhibition hall and facilities, which is including calculation of dimensions and layout, access and movement system, the appropriateness of the design and construction period, measure of applied technology appropriateness, post management as well as planning intent, estimation of the number of the visitors, preliminaries. With the results shown in the comprehensive evaluation and analysis, the paper has presented two issues, the one related to the procensure and preparation and the other related to the facilities. It is showed that both problems are due to the lack of expertise and it is necessary for the experts to participate from the first step of the procedure including planning for the successful exhibition. For the appropriate exhibition hall corresponding to the exhibition planning and scale, it is required to have the professional considerations of successful space and visitor's movement management, display environment, construction method, and post management. The study presents that architectural and interior design have to take an active part in constructing exhibition design in overall stage including the initial, practice, and evaluation stage.

Exhibition which was a boring and rigid image once has recently hold a place as an intimate culture to the public such that audiences can feel and participate in exhibition at first hand. Along with this, forms and directions of exhibition become diversified, and various attempts have been made. In addition, with such changes, ways of expressing exhibition contents become diversified as well and ways of inducing sensible and psychological expressions and experience are receiving attention rather than formal and physical expressions. This study aims to provide audiences with ways of being able to more effectively expressing exhibition contents, atmospheres, sensibility and so on by applying lights and colors to in expression of exhibition contents.
Placing itself in position of spectators, museum should be able to explain to them what meaning the medium of exhibi-tion has and what role it has to paly. For that, it is an indispensable process to plan an archite-ctural environment and exhibition presentation suitable to the exhibition which are main objects of museum, but as a result of its being reglected by this time, it has been recog-nized as a tigid and formal place closed and estranged from the general public. The authoritarian aspect of museum resulted from its sys-tem negative to the people of our country, while its services have been developed as a place in which one understand a country most quicky. Recently, however, as a movement of participating in the newly changing general trend, the contest of design of the new National Museum was announced publicaly worldwide introducing the Museografia method of planning exhibition presentation after thorough analysis of exhibition, which made it known that an importance is intensely put on the en-vironment of relics and their exhibition. The purpose of the study is to analogize the planning prin-ciple of the interior design of the exhibition room of sculp-tures, placing emphasis on the exhibition presentation intro-ducing Museografia as a way of examining the problems and solving them concerning the existing standardized uni-form method of displaying exhibition. The way of conducting the study are as follows.
The exhibition was started in 2010 in the New Acropolis Museum of Athens and embarked a journey since 2011 as a travelling exhibition inside Greece and abroad. The main purpose of the exhibition was to draw attention of the general public to the value of the 'rescue excavation' and of cultural heritage of Greece, by presenting the reconstruction bust of a girl whose skull was found in Kerameikos cemetery of ancient Athens. The new Kerameikos excavation was initiated by the construction of Metropolitan Railway lines in the center of Athens between 1992 to 1998. It revealed a pit of a mass burial where about 150 people were inhumed in a very hasty way without proper funeral rites or offerings. These bodies are identified as the victims of the infamous plague of Athens in the first years of the Peloponnesian War(430-426 BC). The epidemic disease killed almost one third of the city population including Pericles, and brought extreme fear and panic to the Athens society. The traditional funerary rites were totally disrupted, and the social decorum and the morality among the citizens became enfeebled. The plague and the civil war were the decisive factors to end the Golden Age of Democratic Athens. However, the exhibition organizers did not focus on the tragic aspect of this disaster and its casualties. Their main concern was to simplify the scholarly works of archaeological excavation and microchemistry analysis so that the exhibition viewers will easily understand and empathize the living value of the scholarly works of ancient Greek civilization. The centripetal element of the exhibition was the vivid face of an 11 years old ancient girl 'Myrtis', which was carefully reconstructed based on both the scientific data and artistic imagination. Also the set up of the exhibition was structured in order to stimuli cognitive and emotional experience of the visitors who witnessed the rebirth of a vibrant human being from an ancient debris. The museologists' continuous efforts to promote projects of contemporary artists, publications, and school programs related to the exhibition indicate that the ulterior motive of this exhibition is the cultural education of the present and future generation through the intimate experiences of ancient Greek life. Also this is the reason why the various museums that held the travelling exhibition try to make the presentation as a gesture of memorial service for an anonymous Athenian girl who deceased circa 2400 years ago. The pragmatic efforts of Greek scholars and museologists through exhibition show us a way to find a solution to the continuous threat of cultural resources by massive construction projects and land development, and to overcome public indifference to the history and cultural heritage.

The program of exhibition is used as one of the most effective ways to interact with users who are unfamiliar to archives. But, so far most exhibition programs in archives have been done in a way that shows simply the contents of records. So, in many cases, visitors of archives have paid little attention to the exhibition, and they have hardly caught the purpose of the exhibition event. Archives need to get out of existing exhibition style which list contents-oriented records, and to develop a new exhibition way which can enhance users' interests and understanding about exhibition records. For this purpose, this study examined the concepts and composition elements of record exhibition, analyzed the cases of archive exhibition in and out of Korea. And this study examined some considerations for the exhibitions of educational archives. As a result of this study, record exhibition ways for educational archives are provided.
The development of internet has changed the realm of life from off-line to on-line, causing not only the overall change in society but also urgently demanding change in the basic concept of museum. Virtual Museums have appeared in line with such changes, and they utilize space regardless of real time and space unlike the traditional museums that collected and preserved works for exhibition in physical space thereby playing a role of catalyst for exhibition in virtual space and for direct exchange with the public. Through relevant literatures and case studies, the present research particularly investigated the exhibition characteristics of virtual reality-based museums out of all types of cyber museum, in an effort to make a comparison with those of offline museums, and eventually to suggest a direction of virtual reality museums that would be established in the future and to consider the possibilities of utilizing them.
