  • The purpose of this study is to examine and compare effects of psychological factors on market mavenism and fashion leadership in order to determine the differences of two influential groups in the marketplace. The data were collected from 20's-50's consumers through an online survey institute and a total of 857 questionnaires were analyzed. Demographic variables (gender, age, and income level) were entered into the regression model 1 as independent variables, and 6 factors of consumer self-confidence, clothing involvement, status consumption, and price consciousness were entered into the regression model 2. In the regression model 1, gender (female) alone was significant in explaining market mavenism, while the income level had a positive relationship with fashion leadership. In the regression model 2, information acquisition, social outcome, persuasion knowledge among consumer self-confidence, and status consumption were significant predictors of market mavenism. On the other hand, personal outcome, social outcome, persuasion knowledge, clothing involvement, and status consumption had an effect on the fashion leadership. When comparing magnitudes of effects in predicting market mavenism and fashion leadership, social outcome and status consumption showed to have stronger impacts on fashion leadership than on market mavenism. Psychological factors showed to be more powerful in predicting market mavenism or fashion leadership, as compared to demographic variables.

Data from 271 subjects that answered to all questions regarding the subjects' social demographic characteristics, and the husbands' stress related to their wife and their psychological abuse of their wife in statistical analyses. To analyze the data, a study model was set using multi-cultural family husbands' stress related to their wife as an independent variable and their psychological abuse of their wife as a dependent variable and the goodness-of-fit of the model for the data and the relationship between the variables were reviewed using a structural equation model. According to the results, the goodness-of-fit index of the model satisfied the statistical acceptable standard with CFI=0.909 and RMSEA=0.057. The relationship between the variables indicated that multi-cultural family husbands' stress related to their wife had significant effects on their psychological abuse of their wife. This result indicates the necessity of intervention for management of the husbands' stress in order to prevent multi-cultural family husbands' psychological abuse of their wife.

  • The purpose of this research is to identify if psychological temptation, site quality and sense of community influence user's flow and addiction and to identify causalities among flow, addiction, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in online industry. Many previous researches in the area of online games have been carried out about addiction by psychologist and about the development of related technologies by scientists. There are only a few studies about the customer satisfaction from the online business perspective. However, this research is different from the previous ones in the sense that both flow and addiction are considered in the study of the relationship between customer satisfaction/loyalty and flow/addiction in the area of online industry. The empirical results of high-order factor analysis indicate that six independent variables such as design, information, feedback, impulsiveness and motivation have converge three second-order variables such psychological temptation, site quality and sense of community. Consequently, site quality and sense of community have impacts on the flow, while on the other hand, psychological temptation has impacts on the addiction. Conclusively, customer satisfaction and loyalty are positively related not with the addiction but with the flow. Besides, customer loyalty is significantly influenced by the flow and the customer satisfaction. This indicates that companies in the online game industry have to develop a strategy for the flow which is more socially and ethically allowable than the addiction.
