SRM 해석의 수학적 모델 (Mathematical Models for the Analysis of a SRM)

  • The mathematical models of the Switched Reluctance machine system integrating the state equation of the phase current with the two dimensions finite element model of the machine are advanced, no matter what the topologies of the main circuit of the power converter and the control strategies are adopted in the system. Based on the mathematical models, the comparison of the simulated and the tested results of a three-phase Switched Reluctance motor drive prototype system are given. The simulated results of the prototype tally with the tested results of the prototype. It is shown that the mathematical models have the advantage in high precision.

  • To shorten the delivery time for new products, a lot of prototype plastic parts manufacturing technologies have been developed including injection molding, vacuum casting, thermal forming and so on. Among them, RIM is becoming one of a important soft tooling methods to produce prototype and mass production parts within short time. Further more, as the rapid prototyping technology based tooling methods are playing an important role in prototype manufacturing industry, the utility of the RIM is increasing. But few analyses and mold design techniques have been developed so far due to its chemical and mechanical complexity during the packing and curing process. This research suggests mold gate design criteria to prevent bobbles from molded parts through simplified mathematical model and change of bubble sizes according to the geometry of the molded parts through experiments. Also this study shows the differences of bobble generation mechanism between RIM and injection molding.

  • To reduce the leadtime for a new model according to the strict market requirements, automobile manufacturer begins to utilize 3-dimensional CAD based techniques such as DMU(Digital Mock-Up). RP(Rapid Prototyping), VE(Virtual Engineering). But, not so many satisfactory utilities have been introduced to deal with the emotional properties such as embossment on the surface of interior parts and touch from material characteristics in virtual environment. It is required to manufacture prototype parts to verify actual feeling of the passengers in real automobile. This paper suggests a methodology to enhance emotional property via embedding embossment on the surface of prototype car interior trim without deterioration of dimensional accuracy using RIM(Reaction Injection Molding) and vacuum forming method.

  • In this paper, an experimental study of hot forging process is carried out using plasticine. In order to manufacture the die set, Stere olithography Apparatus(SLA) which is most widely used rapid prototyping system is introduced. Turbine blade forging is executed using plasticine and the SLA prototype die set. Through the experiment ,it turned out that SLA prototype is suitable to the die set for the plasticine workpiece, and theformability and forming load of turbine blade forging are predicted.

  • Insulation and condensation performance evaluation (I&CPE) is an important energy analysis. While considerable amount of data are already represented in a Building Information Model (BIM), the lack of interoperability between BIM modeling and I&CPE programs prevents the simulation process from being efficient and accurate. This study proposes a prototype of a BIM-based I&CPE simulation program, in order to enhance the interoperability between BIM modeling and I&CPE programs. This study discusses the information flow process, defines the required information and its level of detail, develops standardized libraries, and finally proposes a prototype that consists of a data extraction module, conversion module, and performance module. The assurance of interoperability between systems might greatly benefit architects and energy professionals.

  • In this paper, an experimental study of a hot forging process is carried out using plasticine and the die set manufactured with the aid of rapid prototyping. In order to manufacture the die set, Stereolithography Apparatus(SLA) which is most widely used rapid prototyping system is introduced. Turbine blade forging is performed using palsticine and the SLA prototype die set. Through the experiment, it has been shown that SLA prototype is suitable to the die set for the plasticine workpiece, and the formability and the forming load of turbine blade forging are predicted.

  • This paper presents the method of determining state feedback gains of XPTOS for disk drive servomechanism based BESSEL filter prototype. A typical disk drive actuator can be modeled as second order dynamics for low frequencies. However, the response at higher frequencies shows resonant behavior which cannot be easily modeled. XPTOS consists of the nonlinear control region and the linear control region. In the linear control region, the poles of a second order nominal model of plant must be properly relocated by pole placement technique to attenuate resonant modes at high frequency and to attain minimum time state transition. It is difficult to select position to satisfy this object because velocity feedback gain is subjected to position feedback gain in XPTOS. Here poles of BESSEL filter prototype are selected to determine state feedback gains of XPTOS. Simulation results for disk drive servomechanism using XPTOS having state feedback gains by the proposed method are presented.

  • In this paper, a hardware prototype for the 10kVA 11-level MMC was built and various experimental works were conducted to verify the operation algorithms of MMC. The hardware prototype was designed using computer simulation with PSCAD/EMTDC software. After manufactured in the lab, the hardware prototype was tested to verify the modulation algorithms to form the output voltage, the balancing algorithm to equalize the sub-module capacitor voltage, and the redundancy operation algorithm to improve the system reliability.

  • In this study, a stereolithography apparatus (SLA) prototype is used as a master model to be transformed into the silicone pattern by vacuum tool forming. The tool for the first prototype is fabricated by using this silicone pattern. Following this procedure, a temporary tool with metal powder and epoxy for wax injection is prepared for the die set of quick change type which consists of upper and lower base die나 and an insert die. The die set of quick change type appears to be very effective in casting operation by changing tools rapidly. The original wax pattern is formed through the die set, and is made of lost-was. Finally the lost-wax pattern is applied to investment casting. The final casting product is checked regarding its dimensional accuracy.

  • We present the control software and its development process for a prototype of the Camera and Grating Articulation System (CGAS) for GMACS, a wide-field, multi-object, moderate-resolution optical spectrograph for the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT). The CGAS prototype is currently designed for the camera articulation controller as a miniature model of the GMACS. The camera articulation package (CAP) is a software that controls two stepper motors to adjust the camera angle. The package is developed using Visual C++ and runs on Windows 10. We discuss the architectural design and communication route between the high-end user software and the electronics hardware.
