천연냉매인 이산화탄소의 세관 유동시 발생하는 증발 유동 현상에 대한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Study on the Evaporation Flow Phenomena of Natural Refrigerant CO2 through Small Diameter Tubes)

  • For the environment protection, carbon dioxide as a natural refrigerant has been studied to use in an automotive air conditioning system. Hence, a numerical model has been developed to describe the evaporation phenomena of carbon dioxide flowing through very small diameter tubes. The two dimensional low-Reynolds $k-{\varepsilon}$ model was used to predict the flow phenomena of carbon dioxide in the two phase during its evaporation. Furthermore, the results obtained from the model were compared with the experiments for the validation. The heat transfer coefficient is lower, as the tube inner diameter becomes smaller. However, the amount of heat absorbed by a unit mass of carbon dioxide is greater due to more surface area. Therefore, the small diameter tube has advantage in terms of compact design of evaporator. When the inlet condition of pressure and temperature is low, the heat transfer coefficient is slightly high at the same size of tube because of the thermal properties of carbon dioxide.

Residual strength capacity of fire-exposed circular concrete-filled steel tube stub columns

  • Concrete-Filled Steel Tube (CFST) columns are an increasingly popular means to support great compressive loads in buildings. The residual strength capacity of CFST stub columns may be utilized to assess the potential damage caused by fire and calculate the structural fire protection for least post-fire repair. Ten specimens under room conditions and 10 specimens under fire exposure to the Eurocode smouldering slow-growth fire were tested to examine the effects of diameter to thickness D/t ratio and reinforcing bars on residual strength capacity, ductility and stiffness of CFST stub columns. On the other hand, in sixteen among the twenty specimens, three or six reinforcing bars were welded inside the steel tube. The longitudinal strains in the steel tube and load-displacement relationships were recorded throughout the subsequent compressive tests. Corresponding values of residual strength capacity calculated using AISC 360-10 and EC4 standards are presented for comparison purposes with the experimental results of this study. The test results showed that after exposure to $750^{\circ}C$, the residual strength capacity increased for all specimens, while the ductility and stiffness were slightly decreased. The comparison results showed that the predicted residual strength using EC4 were close to those obtained experimentally in this research.

  • Nitrogen oxide(NOx) emission reductions are required to meet the strict emission regulations for environmental protection. Most of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation(EGR) system applied to a diesel engine can relatively decrease the NOx at a low cost, but it has a disadvantage in that the PM generation is promoted due to the hot intake air temperature. Thus, high heat exchange efficiency of the EGR cooler is required for an effective removal of NOx. In this study, heat exchange efficiency for various types of heat exchangers used in EGR cooler was measured under same conditions, and determined best heat exchange performance shape depending on type of heat exchanger.

일반엑스선영상검사의 인자에 따른 산란방사선량 평가 및 분석 (Evaluation and Analysis of Scattered Radiation Dose according to Factors in General X-ray Examination)

  • Control of scattered radiation is one of very important factors in the use of medical radiation. In general X-ray exam, the causes, measurement methods, and the kind of detectors of scattered rays within the radiation area are diverse. In this study, the dose of scattered ray was measured by changing the thickness of the polycarbonate phantom and the tube voltage. As a result of measurement of scattered radiation, the results show that the scattered dose significantly(p<.05) increased with growing of thickness of phantom in the tube voltage 40, 50 and 60 kVp(F(p)<.05, R2>64%). As tube voltage increased at all phantom thicknesses, the scattered dose also significantly(p<.05) increased(F(p)<.05, R2>69%). In cases where a significant correlation was shown, the coefficient of determination of more than 60% was shown in regression analysis. The results of this study can be used as data on scattered radiation dose according to the tube voltage and the object thickness in general X-ray imaging exam.

  • Other countries(USA, Europe) have performed the fire resistance design of buildings by the alternative performance design methods, which are based on fire engineering theories. However, in Korea, the process on the alternative fire resistance performance design has only suggested without any applications for real steel structures. Therefore, In the case of steel structures stagnant research on refractory measures face difficulties in introducing fire resistance design. In this study, first of all, Intumescent paint was analyze the thermal properties(thermal conductivity, specific heat and density). In Sequence, using the section factor by H-standard section propose of section concrete filled steel tube and hollow. finally presents a reasonable thickness Intumescent paint takes time to target performance of the proposed cross-section steel tube.

  • 광섬유 센서의 복굴절 현상을 방지하기 위해 리코팅이나 유리 튜브를 이용하여 보호하는 방법이 있다. 하지만, 이와 같은 처리를 하였을 경우 센서의 변형률 전달성에 대한 검증이 아직 이루어지지 알았다. 본 연구에서는 세가지 형태(재킷이 벗겨진, 리코팅을 한, 유리 튜브로 보호한)의 광섬유 브래그 격자 센서를 제작하여 그라파이트/에폭시 복합재료 적층시편의 인장 실험을 통해 변형률 전달성을 검증하였다. 광섬유 센서는 삽입 적용하였고 표면에 부탁한 변형률 게이지와 값을 비교하였다. 그리고 변형률 구배가 존재하는 경사진 알루미늄 시편의 인장 실험을 통해 각 센서의 신호 특성을 비교하였다.

안테나용 동축형 과도전압 차단장치 (Coaxial-type Transient Voltage Suppressor for Antenna Circuit Protection)

  • This paper describes a new transient voltage suppressor(TVS) with a low insertion loss and a very wide frequency bandwidth to protect antenna circuit from transient voltages. Conventional protection devices have some problems such as low frequency bandwidth and high insertion loss. In order to improve these limitations, a coaxal type TVS, which consists of a gas tube is developed. The performance of the proposed transient voltage suppressor is tested by using a combination surge generator specified in IEC 61000-4-5 standard and by using a network analyzer of 40 MHz ∼ 5GHz bandwidth. From the experimental results, it is confirmed that the proposed TVS has an enough protection performance in low insertion loss and in wide frequency bandwidth

정보통신기기용 과도전압 차단장치의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of a Transient Voltage Blocking Device for Info-communication Facilities)

  • This paper presents a new transient voltage blocking device(TOBD)which low power and high frequency bandwidth to protect info-communication facilities from transient voltages. Conventional protection devices have some problems such as low frequency bandwidth low ener-gy capacity and high remnant voltage. in order to improve these limitations a hybrid type TOBD which consists of a gas tube avalanche diodes and junction type field effect transistor (JFETs) is developed. The TOBD differs from the conventional protection devices in configuration and JFETs are used as an active non-linear element and a high speed switching diode with low capacitance limited high current. Therefore the avalanche diode with low energy capacity are protected from the high current and the TOBD has a very small input capacitance. From the performance test using combination surge generator which can produce $1.2/50{\mu}m$ 4.2 kV/max, $8/20{\mu}m$ 2.1 kAmax it is confirmed that the proposed TOBD has an excellent protection per-formance in tight clamping voltage and limiting current characteristics.

인화성액체를 촉진제로 사용한 방화화재의 감식기법에 관한 연구 (Arson Fire Analysis Involving the Use of Flammable Liquilds as Accelerants)

  • 본 연구에서는 연소잔류물에 남아있는 미세한 인화성액체의 성분을 검출하기 위해 가스검지관, Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS), 열분해분석장비를 활용하였다. 일반적으로 연소했을 경우와 인화성액체를 첨가하여 연소된 경우의 성분분석결과를 비교하였다. 결과적으로 인화성액체를 첨가하지 않고 연소 후 생성된 화재잔해물에서도 가스검지관이 반응하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 일반적인 연소와 열분해를 통해 생성된 화학성분의 차이가 있었으며, 이는 연소 환경의 차이로 인한 것으로 판단된다. 대표적인 석유화학제품인 우드데코타일(PVC) 시료는 인화성액체를 첨가하지 않고 일반적으로 연소시켰을 경우에도 감정인의 정확한 판단을 방해할 수 있는 방해물질인 Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Undecane, Dodecane 등이 검출되는 것을 확인하였다.

영상장치 센서 데이터 QC에 관한 연구 (A study on imaging device sensor data QC)

  • Currently, Korea is an aging society and is expected to become a super-aged society in about four years. X-ray devices are widely used for early diagnosis in hospitals, and many X-ray technologies are being developed. The development of X-ray device technology is important, but it is also important to increase the reliability of the device through accurate data management. Sensor nodes such as temperature, voltage, and current of the diagnosis device may malfunction or transmit inaccurate data due to various causes such as failure or power outage. Therefore, in this study, the temperature, tube voltage, and tube current data related to each sensor and detection circuit of the diagnostic X-ray imaging device were measured and analyzed. Based on QC data, device failure prediction and diagnosis algorithms were designed and performed. The fault diagnosis algorithm can configure a simulator capable of setting user parameter values, displaying sensor output graphs, and displaying signs of sensor abnormalities, and can check the detection results when each sensor is operating normally and when the sensor is abnormal. It is judged that efficient device management and diagnosis is possible because it monitors abnormal data values (temperature, voltage, current) in real time and automatically diagnoses failures by feeding back the abnormal values detected at each stage. Although this algorithm cannot predict all failures related to temperature, voltage, and current of diagnostic X-ray imaging devices, it can detect temperature rise, bouncing values, device physical limits, input/output values, and radiation-related anomalies. exposure. If a value exceeding the maximum variation value of each data occurs, it is judged that it will be possible to check and respond in preparation for device failure. If a device's sensor fails, unexpected accidents may occur, increasing costs and risks, and regular maintenance cannot cope with all errors or failures. Therefore, since real-time maintenance through continuous data monitoring is possible, reliability improvement, maintenance cost reduction, and efficient management of equipment are expected to be possible.
