  • In this paper we introduce a modeling of wheeled mobile robot with a differential drive derived by R.M. DeSantis and using the dynamics model-ing with some disturbance term we control the wheeled mobile robot using fuzzy sliding mode control(FSMC) method. In a fuzzy control approach it is very difficult to prove the stability of the fuzzy controller. Therefore, to overcome that difficult proof of the stability in a fuzzy control method, we first propose a sliding mode controller and prove the stability of the proposed controller. Next, transforming the proposed sliding mode controller into a fuzzy sliding mode controller without changing the basic structure of the sliding mode con-troller, we easily obtain a fuzzy sliding mode con-troller(FSMC) whose stability is guaranteed with-out difficult stability proof procedure of the proposed FSMC.

하공정맥우심방 단락술에 의한 BuddChiari Syndrome 수술치험 1례 보고 (Cavoatrial shunt procedure for Budd-Chiari syndrome complicated by inferior vena caval thrombosis. One case report)

  • A 21 year-old male patient had a diagnosis of Budd-Chiari syndrome caused by inferior vena caval obstruction. Conservative medical therapy failed to control the symptoms of both portal hypertension and inferior vena caval stasis. Portocaval or mesocaval shunts may relive the symptoms of chronic forms of Budd-Chiari syndrome. But when inferior vena caval stenosis is severe, another procedure has to be used. Cavoatrial or portoatrial shunt has been suggested. Therefore, a long Dacron graft was placed from the inferior vena cava just below the left renal vein to the right atrium. He exhibited almost complete relief of symptoms for 1.5 year postoperatively. And there was angiographic proof of patency of the graft. This simple procedure should be encouraged in treatment of these patients.

유죄판단 역치에 대한 배심설시 절차의 효과 (An Effect of the Jury Instruction Procedure on The Level of the Threshold for the Decision to Convict)

  • 국민참여재판에서 판사가 배심원에게 제시하는 법설시에는 범죄사실에 대해서 합리적인 의심이 없는 정도의 증명에 이르렀을 때 유죄를 인정해야 한다는 "합리적 의심의 초월 기준"에 대한 설명이 포함된다. 합리적 의심의 초월 기준은 일반적으로 배심원들이 평의를 시작하기 직전에 설명되는데, 본 연구에서는 설시절차(증거 이전, 증거 이후)에 따라 피고인에 대한 유죄/무죄 인정에 차이가 생긴다는 선행연구를 기반으로 그 인지과정을 알아보고자 하였다. 배심원 자격을 가진 만 20세 이상 성인남녀 189명을 대상으로 합리적 의심의 초월 기준에 대한 설명을 증거 전과 후에 받은 집단이 증거 후에만 설시를 받은 집단과 설시를 받지 않은 집단보다 피고인에 대한 유죄인정비율이 낮은지 분석한 후, 설시 제시절차와 유죄인정비율 사이의 두 가지 인지과정을 확인하였다: 1) 유죄판단 역치 생성, 2) 증거의 증명력 평가. 분석 결과, 설시를 증거 전후에 받은 집단은 다른 집단에 비해 피고인의 유죄를 판단하기 위한 역치가 높게 형성된 것을 확인하였으나, 증거의 증명력은 설시 제시절차 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이러한 결과는 배심원이 재판에서 설시를 증거 전에 받았을 때, 각 증거의 증명력을 합리적 의심의 초월 기준으로 평가하기보다는 유죄결정을 위한 역치수준을 조정하여 그것을 기반으로 피고인에 대한 최종판단을 한다고 해석되었다.

Bounds for Generalized Normalized δ-Casorati Curvatures for Submanifolds in Generalized (κ, µ)-space Forms

  • In this paper, we prove the optimal inequalities for the generalized normalized ${\delta}$-Casorati curvature and the normalized scalar curvature for different submanifolds in generalized (${\kappa},{\mu}$)-space forms. The proof is based on an optimization procedure involving a quadratic polynomial in the components of the second fundamental form. We also characterize the submanifolds on which equalities hold.

  • A canard type aircraft, which has good wing stall and stall/spin-proof characteristics, is under development. The aircraft prototype has full-depth core sandwich type wing and fixed landing gear, and has been built for test flights. Newly developing aircraft will be equipped with retractable landing gear and conventional foam core sandwich laminate structures and multi-rib wings. In this study, we present the structural test procedure and result for aircraft Firefly.

  • This study suggest the improvement of the CFRP adhesive mixing ratio about acoustic window to enhance SONAR performance. The CFRP of submarine is produced by allocation an acoustic window zone by the beam width of SONAR sensors. During the sea trial, SONAR system's bearing and range accuracy data is not in tolerance due to debonding phenomenon on CFRP. The inappropriate mixing ratio of adhesives caused that peeling phenomenon occurred in the acoustic window part, which is the reason for the deterioration of SONAR sensors performance. The report includes explanation of test procedure of SONAR, root cause analysis, CFRP manufacturing procedure, laboratory tests results, and proof of the performance at the sea trial.

  • This paper presents a simple procedure to obtain a substitute, homogenized mechanical response of single layer graphene sheet. The procedure is based on the judicious combination of molecular mechanics simulation results and homogenization method. Moreover, a series of virtual experiments are performed on the representative graphene lattice. Following these results, the constitutive model development is based on the well-established continuum mechanics framework, that is, the non-linear membrane theory which includes the hyperelastic model in terms of principal stretches. A proof-of-concept and performance is shown on a simple model problem where the hyperelastic strain energy density function is chosen in polynomial form.

  • 본 논문에서는 초고층 건축물이 풍화대지반에 위치하여 대구경 현장타설 말뚝기초로 지지되고 있는 사례를 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 말뚝기초의 설계 사례는 "예비설계-검증시험-예비설계의 보완"의 3단계를 거쳐 말뚝기초의 설계를 완성한 대표적인 사례로 볼 수 있으며, 검증시험으로 2회의 양방향 고유압 말뚝재하시험이 수행되었다. 이와 같은 설계절차를 준수할 경우 말뚝기초의 경제적인 설계를 수행할 수 있으며, 이를 통하여 말뚝기초 공사비의 대폭적인 절감을 이룰 수 있을 것이다.
