  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the close relation between Okounkov bodies and Zariski decompositions of pseudoeffective divisors on smooth projective surfaces. Firstly, we completely determine the limiting Okounkov bodies on such surfaces, and give applications to Nakayama constants and Seshadri constants. Secondly, we study how the shapes of Okounkov bodies change as we vary the divisors in the big cone.

A Study on the 3D Representation of 2D Projection Data using Epipolar Geometry (Epipolar 기하학을 이용한 2차원 투영 데이터의 3차원 표현에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the epipolar geometry, genera17y used as a pin-hole camera model, is newly adapted to our proposed method that enables the affine reconstruction of the 3D object from two projected views. The proposed method models the projective projection of inherent X-ray imaging system, obviates the need to attach artifirially constructed material on the body, and requires none of the prior-knowledge regarding to intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of two X-ray imaging systems. The optimum numerical solution is obtained by applying the least mean square estimator to corresponding points on two projected X-ray planes. The performance of this proposed method is Quantitatively analyzed using computer synthesized model of Cochlear implantation electrodes. In simulated experiments, the propnsed method is insensitive to the added random noise, the scaling factor change, the center point change, and rotational angular change between two projection planes, as well as enables the stable 3D reconstruction in least square sense even in worst testing cases.

THE SCHWARZIAN DERIVATIVE AND CONFORMAL TRANSFORMATION ON FINSLER MANIFOLDS

  • Thurston, in 1986, discovered that the Schwarzian derivative has mysterious properties similar to the curvature on a manifold. After his work, there are several approaches to develop this notion on Riemannian manifolds. Here, a tensor field is identified in the study of global conformal diffeomorphisms on Finsler manifolds as a natural generalization of the Schwarzian derivative. Then, a natural definition of a Mobius mapping on Finsler manifolds is given and its properties are studied. In particular, it is shown that Mobius mappings are mappings that preserve circles and vice versa. Therefore, if a forward geodesically complete Finsler manifold admits a Mobius mapping, then the indicatrix is conformally diffeomorphic to the Euclidean sphere Sn-1 in ℝn. In addition, if a forward geodesically complete absolutely homogeneous Finsler manifold of scalar flag curvature admits a non-trivial change of Mobius mapping, then it is a Riemannian manifold of constant sectional curvature.

An Exploratory Study on Appearance Related Quality-of-Life of Obese Korean Men (한국 비만남성들의 외모 관련 삶의 질에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study explored various issues related to the quality-of-life for obese Korean men. In-depth interviews were conducted with thirty men over BMI 25 whose age ranged from 20's to 50's. Projective techniques along with semi-structured interviews were used. The results of interviews were analyzed based on grounded theory. "Stress" was the main phenomenon resulting from the causal conditions of obesity and stigma. Stress consisted of social, psychological, physical and environmental factors. Contextual conditions mediating the relationship between causal conditions and main phenomenon were obesity level, pressure, and public appearance. Avoidance, change of personal traits, and insensitivity were the action/reactions to the main phenomenon. Various factors due to obesity disappeared and quality-of-life increased when they succeed in weight reduction; however, factors related to obesity and lowered condition of quality-of-life continued if they experienced a weight gain/loss yo-yo.

  • This note contains the following results for a ring A : (1) A is simple Artinian if and only if A is a prime right YJ-injective, right and left V-ring with a maximal right annihilator ; (2) if A is a left quasi-duo ring with Jacobson radical J such that $_{A}$A/J is p-injective, then the ring A/J is strongly regular ; (3) A is von Neumann regular with non-zero socle if and only if A is a left p.p.ring containing a finitely generated p-injective maximal left ideal satisfying the following condition : if e is an idempotent in A, then eA is a minimal right ideal if and only if Ae is a minimal left ideal ; (4) If A is left non-singular, left YJ-injective such that each maximal left ideal of A is either injective or a two-sided ideal of A, then A is either left self-injective regular or strongly regular : (5) A is left continuous regular if and only if A is right p-injective such that for every cyclic left A-module M, $_{A}$M/Z(M) is projective. ((5) remains valid if 《continuous》 is replaced by 《self-injective》 and 《cyclic》 is replaced by 《finitely generated》. Finally, we have the following two equivalent properties for A to be von Neumann regula. : (a) A is left non-singular such that every finitely generated left ideal is the left annihilator of an element of A and every principal right ideal of A is the right annihilator of an element of A ; (b) Change 《left non-singular》 into 《right non-singular》in (a).(a).

Conversion Method of 3D Point Cloud to Depth Image and Its Hardware Implementation (3차원 점군데이터의 깊이 영상 변환 방법 및 하드웨어 구현)

  • In the motion recognition system using depth image, the depth image is converted to the real world formed 3D point cloud data for efficient algorithm apply. And then, output depth image is converted by the projective world after algorithm apply. However, when coordinate conversion, rounding error and data loss by applied algorithm are occurred. In this paper, when convert 3D point cloud data to depth image, we proposed efficient conversion method and its hardware implementation without rounding error and data loss according image size change. The proposed system make progress using the OpenCV and the window program, and we test a system using the Kinect in real time. In addition, designed using Verilog-HDL and verified through the Zynq-7000 FPGA Board of Xilinx.

Automatic Geo-referencing of Sequential Drone Images Using Linear Features and Distinct Points (선형과 특징점을 이용한 연속적인 드론영상의 자동기하보정)

  • Images captured by drone have the advantage of quickly constructing spatial information in small areas and are applied to fields that require quick decision making. If an image registration technique that can automatically register the drone image on the ortho-image with the ground coordinate system is applied, it can be used for various analyses. In this study, a methodology for geo-referencing of a single image and sequential images using drones was proposed even if they differ in spatio-temporal resolution using linear features and distinct points. Through the method using linear features, projective transformation parameters for the initial geo-referencing between images were determined, and then finally the geo-referencing of the image was performed through the template matching for distinct points that can be extracted from the images. Experimental results showed that the accuracy of the geo-referencing was high in an area where relief displacement of the terrain was not large. On the other hand, there were some errors in the quantitative aspect of the area where the change of the terrain was large. However, it was considered that the results of geo-referencing of the sequential images could be fully utilized for the qualitative analysis.
