This paper is about a case study of an interdisciplinary and intercultural collaborative design project course that has been offered for six years. The distinct characteristics of this course lie in that its students consist of those in two different disciplines, mechanical engineering and industrial design, and also in two different countries, Korea and Germany. The themes of the design project have been selected differently over the years, but always were related to transportation and, particularly, personal mobility devices. The paper first delineates the course and illustrates examples of the outcomes. Then, unique aspects and challenges of the course that have been observed through the six runs and that are associated with the intercultural and interdisciplinary nature are indicated and discussed. The author is convinced that this course has been successful in helping prepare the students for globally-operating manufacturing companies in the future. It is hoped that the findings from this course and the discussions contained in this paper would help those who plan to offer similar courses.

The purpose of this study is to construct a new model named Communication Consensus Value Weighted (CCVW) model based on inter-personal technical communication within a project team, and to design Feasibility Estimates Integrated Terminal System (FEITS) which is a subsystem of R & D Project Planning System/System Alternatives Feasibility Estimation System (RDPPL/SAFES) using the model as a key function for feasibility estimation in that system. This new model aims to integrate technical feasibility estimated by several estimators in the lowest level as the project work breakdown structure which is the indentical conception of a terminal system in RDPPL. The process to obtain the feasibility estimate integrated is presented in this paper.

Effective implementation of private subsidy projects requires comprehensive expertise in the aquaculture and construction sectors to be provided to private subsidy operators, local government officials and others involved in budget execution and settlement. Due to the strengthening of laws and systems related to the execution of state subsidies since 2015, the efficient implementation of private-sector grant projects has been difficult for delays in projects, cancellations, and conflicts with local governments from lack of prior awareness and understanding of related regulations. It is expected that the government will be able to activate the project by analyzing the current status and problems of each phase of project implementation for improving quality internalization of the project effects, as well as quantitative growth of the private sector subsidy project for environmentally friendly aquaculture development projects.

This study developed the planning process for technical management of engineering project applying systems engineering process in order to correctly design technical management activities early during the system development projects. The developed process describes a systemic design process of a product to be developed as well as the development process and the personnel team of project organization. As an outcome of the process implemented by a Model-Based Systems Engineering(MBSE) software, a systems engineering management plan(SEMP) and a risk management plan can easily be produced.

Web-based collaboration platforms present construction project teams with an opportunity to improve the efficiency of document exchange, better control project communications and enhance team collaboration. However, many construction professionals are still not convinced that these platforms, in their current form, are fit-for-purpose and yield sufficient efficiencies for the construction procurement process. In an attempt to improve the current ICT diffusion process, this paper evaluates the implementation of a web-based collaboration tool on the Lane Cove Tunnel (LCT) project in Sydney, Australia. Moreover, the paper provides strategies for achieving more effective implementation of web-based collaboration platforms in the construction sector.

This paper uses the status inconsistency theory to identify factors related to team members' (dis)satisfaction with the composition of virtual IT project teams in order to predict their turnover intentions. Our approach is based on the premise that virtual teams, although increasingly popular among global organizations, create an environment replete with cultural and functional diversity. Yet, a paradox exists: increasing diversity in virtual teams maximizes the creation and use of organizational knowledge while simultaneously increasing dissatisfaction and turnover. This is a critical issue in the formation and management of virtual teams. Therefore, we investigate how team members' perceptions of differences among themselves (i.e. foreignness) impact the stability of team membership, leading to what we describe as a 'liability of foreignness.' Findings indicate that a member's perception of foreignness has a detrimental effect on satisfaction with his or her team members while satisfaction is likely to decrease turnover intention. This may be an implication that managers need to maintain a balance in order to discourage member turnover and the loss of key players.

IT프로젝트는 구성원들간의 역할과 업무구분에 있어서 불확실성이 높은 지식서비스형 프로젝트이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 불확실한 환경에서의 촉진행위를 설명하고 있는 사회적 상호의존성 이론의 틀에 의거하여 IT프로젝트의 상황을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 연구모델로서 목표와 업무의 상호의존성을 독립변수로 하여 촉진행위인 커뮤니케이션 효과성과 지식공유를 매개변수, 그리고 성과를 종속변수로 설정하였고 기존에 개발되어 온 항목들을 활용하여 설문을 구성하였다. 123개의 IT프로젝트에 참여하였던 개발자와 현업실무자들을 일대일 쌍으로 구성하여 데이터를 수집하였다. 분석결과 기본적으로 사회적 상호의존성 이론이 적용됨을 실증할 수 있었고 세부적으로는 지식공유가 무엇보다 중요한 매개역할을 하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 커뮤니케이션 효과성은 프로젝트 성과에 직접적으로 영향을 미치기보다는 지식공유를 통하여 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 추정할 수 있었다. 목표의 상호의존성은 지식공유보다는 커뮤니케이션을 활성화시키는 효과가 있었고 지식공유는 이러한 커뮤니케이션 활성화와 더불어 업무의 상호의존성에 영향을 받아 프로젝트의 성과를 높이는 것으로 추정할 수 있었다. IT프로젝트의 실무에 있어서는 프로젝트를 성공시키기 위해서 팀 구성원들간의 지식공유를 촉진할 필요성이 확인되었다. 이러한 지식공유 활성화를 위해서는 무엇보다도 프로젝트 구성원들이 서로간의 상호의존성을 다양한 측면에서 지속적으로 확인하면서 촉진행위를 할 수 있도록 조직을 구성하고 자원을 배분하고 소통의 강도를 높여야 할 것으로 보인다.

국가의 재정지원은 대학의 구성원인 교수 학생 연구원에게 양질의 교육 및 연구가 이루어 질 수 있도록 기회를 제공한다. 국가적 예산의 유입과 한시적인 성격이라는 특수하게 조직된 대학특별사업단의 기록물은 또한 특별하게 바라볼 필요가 있다. 이러한 배경으로 조직된 대학특별사업단에서 생산되는 기록물은 사업의 평가와 투명한 예산 집행의 증거로써 관리되어야 하고 연구의 결과물로써 활용 될 수 있음에도 불구하고 타 대학기록물에 비해 관리가 취약하다. 이유는 사업단이 기록물을 생산하고 있음에도 불구하고 처리과로 인정되지 않고 한시적 기관의 특성으로 인해 생겨나는 문제점들로 기록물관리가 미흡할 수밖에 없기 때문이다. 본 연구는 전북지역 J대학에서 수행되고 있는 대학특별사업단(이하 사업단)의 기록관리 현황을 분석하고 문제점을 도출하여 이에 대한 개선방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 교육부가 지원하는 5대 사업단을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 문헌조사를 통한 선행연구조사를 시작으로 사업단 담당자 및 전문가 등 총 12명을 대상으로 면담을 진행하였다. 현황분석과 도출한 문제점을 바탕으로 사업단 기록물관리가 이루어질 수 있도록 개선방안을 제도적 인식적 관리적 시스템적 측면에서 제안하였다. 제도적 측면과 인식적 측면을 통해 관련 제도 및 규정을 정립하여 기록물관리가 정당성을 가질 수 있는 근본적인 틀을 마련하고자 하였다. 관리적 측면에서 각 요소들이 체계적인 기록물관리를 위하여 이루어진 관계와 주어진 역할은 무엇인지 정의하였다. 이를 바탕으로 시스템적 측면에서 통합아카이브시스템의 구축을 위한 방안과 현재 사용되고 있는 시스템 및 2017년 도입될 "코러스"와 연계방향을 제안하였다.

게임제작은 전산학을 가르치는 효과적이고 매력적인 방법이다. 다중사용자 게임제작은 기술, 팀웍, 소프트웨어 공학등 중요한 측면들을 요구하고 있다. 전체 클래스를 다수의 팀으로 구성하고, 학생들은 하나 혹은 두 개의 팀에 속하였다. 각 팀은 한학기동안 자신들의 진행상황을 발표하고, 향후 이정표와 트러블슈팅에 대해 논의하고, 명확한 소통을 위해 문서를 갱신하고, SVN(Subversion)을 활용하였다. 다른 클래스 구성과 달리, 모든 학생이 하나의 목적을 달성하려는 회사처럼 서로 협력하여 일을 했다. 한학기동안 학생들은 개념설계부터 시작해서 "deBugger(2009)"와 "World of Balance(2011)"라는 다중사용자 온라인 게임을 완성했다. 더불어 게임설계, 3D 그래픽스, 게임엔진, 서버-클라이언트 구조, 게임프로토콜, 네트워크 프로그래밍, 데이터베이스, 소프트웨어공학, 팀 프로젝트로서 대규모 어플리케이션 제작방법들을 학습할 수 있었다.

TOD (Transit-Oriented Development)는 대중교통 중심의 복합기능을 가진 집약적인 도시구조이며, 미래지향형 지속가능한 도시를 유지하기 위해 제시되는 개념이다. 최근 도시철도 역사를 중심으로 복합 환승센터 개발이 활발히 추진되고 있으며, 사업의 규모와 복잡성으로 인해 보다 과학적이고 객관적인 분석을 통한 계획과 유지관리 등이 요구되고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 공간정보와 통합 스마트카드 자료를 활용하여 도시철도 역사 보행 기종점 추정을 위한, 표준화된 분석 절차를 개발하고자 하였으며, 삼성역 사례 분석을 통해 제시된 분석 절차 및 방법에 대한 검증을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 분석 절차는 자료 수집 기술과 빅데이터 DB 분석 기법 발전에 따라 유기적 확장 가능한 분석 환경을 마련하였다는 데 큰 의의를 가진다.
