A 43-year-old woman was admitted with the chief complaint of progressive visual disturbance and her brain radiological studies disclosed well demarcated tumor at tuberculum sellae area and bilateral mirror image paraclinoid internal carotid artery saccular aneurysms. A larger left side aneurysm was pointing medialy and almost encased by the tumor. Although a brain tumor and intracranial aneurysm can be simultaneously treated by surgery, the high risk of intra-operative aneurysm rupture should be considered. Therefore, the author secondly performed tumor resection after the endovascular embolization of the aneurysm which was embedding the tumor using a Guglielmi detachable coil. After successful treatment of the patient with tuberculum sellae meningioma associated with bilateral mirror image paraclinoid aneurysms using endovascular and surgical techniques, the authors present the case with a review of the related literatures.

Recently, Research and development activity of HTS (High Temperature Superconducting) power application is very progressive worldwide. Especially, HTS cable system and HTSFCL (HTS Fault current limiter) system are proceeding to practical stages. In such system and equipment, cryogenic cooling system, which makes HTS equipment cooled lower than critical temperature, is one of crucial components. In this article, cryogenic cooling system for HTS application, mainly cable, is reviewed. Cryogenic cooling system can be categorized into conduction cooling system and immersion cooling system. In practical HTS power application area, immersion cooling system with sub-cooled liquid nitrogen is preferred. The immersion cooling system is besides grouped into open cycle system and closed cycle system. Turbo-Brayton refrigerator is a key component for closed cycle system. Those two cooling systems are focused in this article. And, each design and component of the cooling system is explained.

In recent years, as the semiconductor and the optical industry grows, the necessity of the transporting system for semiconductor and precision optical lens without damage increases. The transport system using ultrasonic wave is very suitable for this area. In this paper the object transport system using the excitation of ultrasonic wave is proposed. The experiments for finding the optimal excitation frequency, finding phase-difference between two ultrasonic wave generators are performed. The effect of transporting speed according to the change of weight and amplification voltage are verified. In addition, the system performance for actual use is evaluated.

Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder. It is slowly progressive disease that affects a small area of cells in the mid brain known as the substantia nigra. Gradual degeneration of these cells causes a reduction in a vital chemical known as dopamine. In the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, it has difficulty in biopsy and limits in radiologic modalities. $^{18}F-FDG$ PET shows various findings from normal to diffuse decrement of FDG uptake. $^{18}F-FDG$ PET is expected to be a evaluation tool in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.

A new method is proposed for stereo vision where solution to disparity map is presented in terms of Line constraint and Reliability space -- the first constraint proposes a progressive framework for stereo matching which applies local area pixel-values from corresponding lines in the left and right image pairs. The second states that reliability space based on corresponding points records the disparity and then we are able to apply the median filter in order to reduce the noises which occur in the process. A coarse to fine result is presented after the median filtering, which improves the final result qualitatively. Experiment is evaluated by rectified stereo matching images pairs from Middlebury datasets and has proved that those two adopted strategies yield good matching quantitative results in terms of fast running speed.

With the increasing use of multimedia technologies, image compression requires higher performance as well as new features such as embedded Tossy to lossless coding, various progressive order, error resilience and region-of-interest coding. In the specific area of still image encoding, a new standard, the JPEG2000, has been currently developed. This paper presents a new compression scheme based on JPEG2000. In the proposed scheme, gray coding is applied to the wavelet coefficient. Since gray coding produces an image whose bit plane is will clustered. The proposed method improves compression efficiency of the JPEG2000.

Since early 1960s, when the telephone survey was used in the research area for he first tie, there has been existed various methods to gather the information by survey. The existing survey methodology called PAPI(Paper-And-Pen Interveiw), due to the appearance of Personal Computer, might well be developed progressively. Mid-1980s, Internet was advanced remarkably in terms of technology. from early 1990s, in addition it served as a stepping-stone for progressive collecting method. Internet Survey is now called WWW Survey and expected that it will substitute for most surveys from now on. We explain the role and the characteristics for Internet Survey as one of he various data collecting methods. Furthermore, we draw the futures about questionnaires, data collecting and statistical analysis with it.

Busan migmatitic gneisses in the northeastern margin of the Ogcheon zone have been studied petrologically in order to clarify their origin. Petrochemical and mineralogical studies show that the gneisses are Precambrian basemental paragneisses and the rocks were migmatized more intensively than the Bagdalryeong gneisses which have been known to constitute the basemental gneisses of Ogcheon zone. K-Ar biotite isotopic ages are $150.79{\pm}3.37Ma$ in Busan migmatitic gneiss and $191{\pm}4.27Ma$ in Bagdalryeong gneisses. These ages seem to be isotopic homogenised ages. Progressive regional metamorphisms are predominent in the studied area showing greenschist facies, epidote amphibolite facies and amphibolite facies toward N-W direction.

The Janggun mine area is occupied by the Proterzoic and the Paleozoic meta-pelites, which are intruded by the Jurassic Chunyang granite. The metamorphic terrain is divided into four zones of progressive metamorphism on the basis of mineral assemblages. The zones are chlorite zone, staurolite zone, andalusite zone, sillimanite zone ascending order. Boundary lines between the zones resemble outline of the Chunyang granite mass. Isograd reactions are chlorite+chloritoid+muscovite=staurolite+biotite+quartz+water, staurolite+chlorite+muscovite+quartz=andalusite+biotite+water, and staurolite+muscovite+quartz=andalusite+biotite+garnet+water between the chlorite zone and the staurolite zone, the staurolite zone and the andalusite zone, and the andalusite zone and the sillimanite zone, repectively. They are univariant reactions in KFMASH component system. Metamorphic conditions estimated from garnet-biotite geothermometers and phase equlibria are $530^{\circ}C$ and lower than 4 kb.

Otosclerosis is correctly termed otospongiosis progressiva insidiosa or more briefly otospongiosis. It consists of one or several circumscribed area of new, vascular, songy bone which is less dense and less sclerotic than the petrous bone of the normal labyrinthine capsule that it replaces. Clinically it causes progressive or sensorineural in nature. It occurs most commonly in middle aged adult. Authors analysed the cases which is thought otosclerosis clinically, and stapedectomy was performed for the purpose of therapy and pathological confirmation. This paper is dealt with its case study as well as pathological discussion and its literature analysis.
