Objective : The aim of this study is to verify the effects of group sensory integrative intervention on praxis and socialization for school-aged children with sensory integration disorder. Method : The subjects are five children aged between 7 and 13 with sensory integration disorder. All children had participated in 26 sessions of group sensory integrative intervention. The Bruininks-Oseretasky Test of Motor Proficiency(BOT-2) and The Scale for Basic Socialized Function were used so as to evaluate the praxis and socialization. One group pretest-posttest design was used to verify the effect of group sensory integration(SI) intervention. The statistical difference between before and after the group SI intervention in the BOT-2, Scale for basic socialized function is tested by the Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed ranks test. Results : There is a significant difference in BOT-2(Z=-2.023, p=.043) and Scale for basic socialized function(Z=-2.023, p=.043) scores comparing pre-intervention with post-intervention. Conclusions : The results of this study showed that the group sensory integration intervention is effective in improving the praxis and socialization for school-aged children. However, it is difficult to generalize the conclusion because the number of subjects was limited and the environmental confounding factors had not been considered. Therefore, in the future research, it should supplement the aspect these limitations before applying the sensory integration intervention in order to suggest standard criteria for norm data.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out whether group approach of sensory integration (SI) enhances sensory processing, fine motor function, and social skill for the children with sensory integration disorders. Method : Three children with problems related in sensory integration had got received 21 intervention sessions. We evaluated children with sensory profile(SP), social maturity test, Korean-developmental test of visual perception(K-DTVP), Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency(BOTMP) before-and after intervention. The statistical significance of data is tested by the Wilcoxon matched-pair signed rank test. Results : All data of post-intervention did not show any statistically significant differences; SP, social maturity test, K-DTVP, BOTMP. Conclusions : This study is to verify the effect of group SI intervention on sensory processing, fine motor function, and social skill for children with sensory integration disabilities. The results were not statistically significant. However, the average score after SI intervention has been improved in the section of fine motor and social skill comparing to that of pre-intervention period. It would have positive impact for children with sensory integration disabilities. It is needed to study with the larger number of target children and more often treatment session are suggested. The confounding variables also should be controlled in the further study.
This study was done to develop self - directed learning modules related to asepsis and elimination including urine and stool for Fundamentals in Nursing practice education contents and to measure the effectiveness of those modules. The subjects of this study were 96 sophomore students in the nursing college. Self-directed learning modules were developed by the researcher on the basis of the Lippincott Learning System of Kruger (1986) and Modules for Basic Nursing Care of Ellis (1992). Videotape was editted by using videotape made by the Lippincott Company and Film strip made by the Trainex Company with Korean dubbing. Self-directed learning was done for one week with the asepsis module and two weeks with the elimination modules after confirming the requiered level of knowledge acquisition through pre-test. For measuring proficiency in self-directed learning, a written test for cognitive domain, a sufficiency test for psychomotor domain, and a confidnece examination for affective domain were given. The data were analyzed using descritive statistics, and Pearson correlation coefficient using a SPSS-PC program. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Sufficiency test and confidence examination grades showed high levels in both asepsis and elimination. 2. Written test grades showed a high level in asepsis and elimination of urine but showed a medium level in eliminationin of stool. 3. Grades of sufficiency and confidence in asepsis and elimination practice were statistically significant with a moderate positive correlation (r=0.4- 0.5, p<0.001). 4. Grades of sufficiency and written tests in asepsis and elimination practice also were statistically significant with a moderate positive correlation (r=0.5-0.7, p<0.001). 5. Students showed relatively high contentment with the self-directed learning modules themselves but revealed relatively low contentment with video program and the self-directed learning process. In conclusion, this study disclosed that proficiency levels in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains were high when asepsis and elimination modules were applied. Also students showed high satisfaction with the modules themselves, but didn't show high contentment with the video programs. In considering low contentment with the self-directed learning process, it is estimated the students had experienced some difficulties about using self-directed learning modules because this was their first exposure to the self-directed learning module and they were already accustomed to the demonstration-practice method.
This study identified predictors of intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity for two successive years by analyzing a total of 2,255 Participants in the 2014 data of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) with through $X^2$, t test, logistic regression. To explore factors affecting intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity, this study hypothesized the effectiveness of variables of demographic, disability, human resources, psycho-social factors based on previous studies. The analysis showed that male, spouse-being, low income status out of demographic variables were related to high probability of having intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity. In case of disability variables, experiencing disability-related discrimination significantly predicted the probability of having intention to work. However, the relationship between disability-related discrimination experiences and high intention to work needs to be viewed as correlated rather than cause-and-effect.In addition, literacy related to computer use/English proficiency/interpersonal and adaptation skills(human resources), experiences of vocational rehabilitation services (human resources), self-esteem (psycho-social) significantly predicted the probability of having intention to work among people with disabilities who maintained economic inactivity. Based on these results, support services for females with disabilities, effective rehabilitation programs of improving literacy related to computer use/English proficiency/interpersonal and adaptation skills and self-esteem, general expansion of vocational rehabilitation services for people with disabilities are suggested.
This research investigated whether inter-word spaces, the spaces between words, can affect the efficiency of Korean-speaking CSL(Chinese as a second language) learners in Chinese reading of Korean-speaking's ability to read Chinese. Through eye movement tracking experiments, CSL learners of different proficiency levels(beginning, intermediate, and advanced) and native Chinese readers were asked to read Chinese sentences with and without inter-word spaces. The tests analysed the participants' fixation counts and the time spent in reading each sentences and also between each words. In terms of the fixation counts and time spent between sentences, the results show that there were no significant difference in participants' fixation counts from reading sentences with and without inter-word spaces. The results also prove that reading sentences with inter-word spaces significantly shortened the reading time for both CSL learners and native Chinese readers. Even for the participants' fixation counts and time duration between each words, participants spent significantly less fixation counts and reading time while reading words with inter-word spaces. The results were more prominent and positive in tests conducted with CSL learners of lower proficiency. This research shows that inter-word spaces in Chinese texts can enhance the efficiency of chinese learners' reading ability.
This study conducted an empirical analysis of the factors affecting the job commitment of employees within a financial sales organization, focusing particularly on agile leadership and organizational justice. Agile leadership was subdivided into four components: adaptability, collaboration promotion, proficiency, and an agile approach, whereas organizational justice was broken down into distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice. Data were gathered through an online survey, and 245 valid responses were subjected to hierarchical regression analysis. The results revealed a significant positive effect of distributive justice, interactional justice, adaptability, promotion of collaboration, and an agile approach on job commitment among the employees of the financial sales organization. However, the influence of proficiency, a component of agile leadership, and procedural justice, a dimension of organizational justice, did not prove to be statistically significant. The order of influence among the significant variables was found to be: adaptability, interactional justice, promotion of collaboration, distributive justice, and an agile approach. These findings confirmed the impact of agile leadership in financial sales organizations, traditionally viewed as conservative, and suggested practical implications for the financial sector to adapt in anticipation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The current study investigated whether Korean learners' English-learning environments, especially target English accent (General American English (GAE) vs. Southern British English (SBE)) and English-language experience affected their production of English vowels. Thirty six EFL learners, 27 ESL-US learners, and 33 ESL-UK learners produced 8 English vowels with a bVt frame (beat, bit, bet, bat, bought, bot, boat, boot). The learners' productions were acoustically analyzed in terms of F1 and F2 frequencies. The overall results revealed that the learners' target accent had an effect on their production of some English vowels. The EFL and ESL-US learners' (especially, female learners') production of bought, bot, boat, and boot, which show characteristic differences between the GAE and SBE accents, was closer to that of the native American English (AE) speakers than the native British English (BE) speakers. In contrast, the ESL-UK learners' production of bought and bot demonstrated the opposite pattern. Thus, the impact of target accent was not demonstrated across the board. The effect of the learners' different English-language experience was also rather limited. This was because the EFL learners' production was not much different from the ESL-US learners' production, in spite of the ESL-US learners' residence in the US for more than 9 years. Furthermore, the Korean learners, irrespective of their different English-language experience, tended to produce bit and bat with lower F1 than the native AE and BE speakers, thus resulting in bit and bat to be produced similarly to beat and bet, respectively. This demonstrates the learners' persistent L1 effects on their English vowel production despite the learners' residence in the English speaking countries or their high English proficiency.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of sensory-motor centered group occupational therapy program on self-regulation and executive function in first grade elementary school maladjusted children. It is a case study through pre-post design with a total of 3 subjects. A pre-and post-test was conducted to determine the change in Self-Control Rating Scale and to find out the execution function by Bruininks-Oseretasky Test of Motor Proficiency. The sensory-motor centered group occupational therapy program performed movement activities based on vestibular sensation, proprioception, and tactile sensation, and the task was selected by investigating the child's preference for activity. As a result, subjects 1 and 2 children showed improved self-regulation and executive function. Based on the results of this study, it is considered that the group-centered sensory-motor program can be provided to children who show maladjustment in school by linking the educational field and clinical practice.
