The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of Korean language ability on the effect of marriage immigrants' safety education attitude on safety awareness. A survey was conducted on marriage immigrants living in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions, and the responses of 109 people were used for the analysis. After controlling for gender, nationality, age, educational background, period of stay, region of residence, and presence or absence of safety accidents, the analysis was performed according to the step-by-step approach of Baron and Kenny(1986). In order to verify the statistical significance of the mediating effect of Korean proficiency, the Sobel test was conducted. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that marriage immigrants' safety education attitude had a significant positive (+) effect on safety awareness, and Korean language ability had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between marriage immigrants' safety education attitude and safety awareness.

Research studies have shown that phonological awareness focused analogies and anagrams can be used as an effective game-based teaching instruction. However, previous studies used analogies and anagrams as separate instructional tools, especially in EFL-related situations. There has been no vocabulary learning in analogies/anagrams instruction provided, nor has there been usage of an integrated workbook for 'vocabulary learning and analogies/anagrams'. This study examined the effect on learners' vocabulary acquisition scores when a truly phonological awareness integrated 'analogies/anagrams and vocabulary learning' workbook was used as an instructional practice workbook. The results show that the phonological awareness integrated instruction significantly increased learners' vocabulary acquisition scores among 40 college students with minimal or basic level of English proficiency.

본 연구는 전반적인 발달지연, 감각 예민성, 촉각 방어와 작업수행의 문제를 가진 골덴하르 증후군 아동에게 감각통합치료를 적용하여, 골덴하르 증후군 아동의 감각통합 치료적 중재 개입방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 증례 아동은 만 7세 10개월 남아로 학교와 일상생활에서, 놀이와 학습에 대한 어려움, 운동발달 지연을 주 호소로 하여 검사가 의뢰되었다. 감각통합치료를 위한 평가로 캐나다 작업수행 측정(Canadian Occupational Performance Measure)시 바른 자세로 한글 읽고 쓰기가 첫째 작업수행 목표로 나타났고, 단축 감각프로파일(Short Sensory Profile) 과 감각 인터뷰에서는 감각 예민성과 촉각 처리영역에서 확연한 차이로 감각통합치료 중재가 요구되었다. 발달 프로파일 -3(Developmental Profile -3)은 5개 발달영역에서 전반적인 발달 지연이 나타났고, 운동 숙련도 검사 (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-2)에서 운동발달 수준이 평균 이하로 나타났다. 본 증례 아동에 대한 감각통합 치료를 통해 전반적인 발달, 감각예민성, 촉각방어와 같은 감각조절 기능이 향상되고, 작업수행이 개선되는데 도움이 되었다. 본 사례연구를 통해서 국내 골덴하르 증후군 아동의 감각통합치료 접근법에 기초 자료가 될 것이라고 사료된다.

본 연구의 목적은 국내 대학에서 개설되는 영어강의를 참관하고, 교수자와 학습자를 대상으로 영어강의에 대한 인터뷰를 통해 국내 대학에서 개설되는 영어강의의 문제가 무엇인지, 영어강의의 효과를 높이기 위한 방안이 무엇인지 고찰하는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적을 위해 우선 일부 강좌만 영어강의로 개설하는 부산 소재 국립대학과 전체 강좌를 영어강의로 개설하는 울산 소재 국립대학의 영어강의를 구분하여 조사하고, 이를 전체 강좌를 영어강의로 개설하는 일본 대학의 경우와 비교 분석하였다. 영어강의에 대한 정확한 분석을 위해 동일한 방식으로 강의를 참관하고 분석하였으며, 해당 강의의 교수자와 학습자들을 대상으로 영어강의에 대한 인식을 확인하는 심층인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 국내 두 대학에서 개설되는 영어강의의 효과를 높이기 위해 학습자의 영어구사력을 영어강의 수강에 충분한 수준으로 높이고, 학습자간 영어구사력의 편차를 최소한으로 줄이는 것이 가장 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 영어학습자의 영어구사력을 높이는 방안으로 영어강의 수강을 위한 학문목적 대학영어교육(EAP) 과정이 필요하다고 주장하였다.

Knowledge-Worker Productivity (KWP) has been influenced by Knowledge Management Process (KMP); however, past studies derived inconsistent findings of the relationship between the two variables. Additionally, the effect of KMP on KWP in the context of universities in Sri Lanka has not been adequately studied. Therefore, this present study aims to fill that gap by examining KMP elements' effect, namely knowledge creation, knowledge sharing, and usage on KWP, specifically the timeliness, proficiency, and independence of employees. This study also examines the role of employee engagements (i.e., intellectual, social, and affective) in mediating the effect of KMP on KWP. The questionnaire survey method was utilized to collect data from relevant university employees, i.e., lecturers, senior lecturers, and professors, whereby 264 valid responses were used in the analysis. The associations between KMP, Employee Engagement, and KWP were analyzed using the path analysis and bootstrapping methods. The outcomes demonstrated positive correlations between all three variables. Employee Engagement was shown to have a partial mediating effect on the KMP-KWP association. The general conclusion is that KWP is influenced by its capacity to increase employee engagement via KMP.

본 연구 목적은 대학 교양영어 수업에 활용 가능한 소집단 협동학습 수업 프로그램을 적용하여 소집단 협동학습이 영어 독해력과 영어 읽기동기에 미치는 영향과 소집단 협동학습 인식변화를 분석하는데 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해, 충청북도의 4년제 종합대학교의 필수 교양영어 수업에 참여한 신입생 62명을 연구대상으로 2019년 9월 2일에서 12월 13일까지 실험반(34명)은 협동학습을 기반으로 한 맞춤식 소집단 협동학습으로 수업을 진행하고, 통제반(28명)은 전형적인 강의식 수업으로 진행하였다. 학습자들의 영어 능력은 학업 숙달도 영역을 영어 독해력으로, 정의적 영역은 영어 읽기 동기로 나누어 실험하였으며 실험 전 학습자들의 영어 독해력은 국가 수준 교육 성취도 평가문제를 발췌하여 측정하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소집단 협동학습을 적용한 집단의 영어 독해력 점수와 소집단 협동학습을 적용하지 않은 집단의 영어독해력 점수는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 둘째, 소집단 협동학습을 적용한 집단의 영어 읽기동기 점수와 적용하지 않은 집단의 영어 읽기동기점수는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 셋째, 소집단 협동학습을 적용한 집단의 인식변화가 실험 전과 실험 후에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 대학 교양영어 수업 시 대학생들 간의 협동학습을 통해 영어 독해력, 영어 읽기동기, 협동학습 인식이 상승했으며, 이를 통한 자아정체성, 자신감 등에 긍정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

The present study explored whether the implementation of focused activities (intervention programme) can enhance 22 pre-service mathematics teachers' proficiency in solid geometry thinking level as well as change for the better their feelings in this discipline. Over a period of 6 weeks the pre-service teachers participated in activities and diversified experiences with 3D shapes, using illustration aids and actual experience of building 3D shapes in relation to the various spatial thinking levels. The research objectives were to investigate whether the intervention programme, comprising task-oriented activities of solid geometry, enhance mathematics pre-service teachers' mastery of their geometric thinking levels as well as examine their feelings towards this discipline before and after the intervention programme. The findings illustrate that learners' levels of geometric thinking can be promoted, entailing control on higher thinking levels as well as a more positive attitude towards this field.

This study investigates the effects of different types of genre and tasks on college students' English listening comprehension. 104 college students were assigned to Argumentative (AG), Causal and Evaluation (CE), and Narrative (NA) group. They report their listening comprehension through gap-filling (GF), summary (ST), and multiple-choice comprehension task (MC). Results showed that different genre groups were significantly different on overall tasks. Moreover, results from each group also presented that different mean scores on each task indicated a statistical significance. Proficiency levels, higher and lower level group, showed a significant effect for the task on listening comprehension. The results of the statistical analysis, using One-way ANOVA indicated that genre significantly affects Korean college students' listening comprehension, and implied that listening comprehension sores for each genre were also substantially different. Different genre groups resented significant different in overall listening comprehension tasks.

This paper attempts to examine the effect of children's English stories on the development of Korean EFL primary school learners' listening and speaking competences and their motivation to learn English. This paper also discusses factors of English children's stories that make EFL learners' language learning efficient. Participants were 120 primary school students who attend one of the elementary schools in Chungnam province. They were randomly chosen and divided into two groups: experimental and control groups. In order to collect data, students' listening and speaking proficiency pre- and post-tests and the pre- and post-questionnaires regarding the participants' motivation to learn English were administered. The data were analyzed by ANOVA. The results indicate that the application of English children's stories to EFL learning settings can be an efficient way to improve EFL learners' listening and speaking competences and motivation to learn their target language. The findings of this study suggest that English children's stories provide language learners with interest, meaningful and authentic contexts and enjoyment. The pedagogical suggestion and implications are provided for EFL educators and teachers.

Since many design problems in the railroad, aerospace and machine structures involve considerations of the effect of cyclic loading, manufacturing and quality control processes must fully account for fatigue of critical components. Due to the sensitivity of the Paris law, it is very important to calculate the ΔK numerically to minimize the error of predicted fatigue life in cycles. It is shown that the p-version of FEM based on LEFM analysis is far better suited for computing the stress intensity factors than the conventional h-version. To demonstrate the proficiency of the proposed scheme, the welded T-joint with crack problem of box car body bolster assembly and a crack problem emanating Iron a circular hole in finite strip have been solved.
