An Empirical Analysis of the Improving Effect Regarding MRO Internet Procurement System : Focusing on Company A (MRO Internet Procurement 시스템 개선 효과 분석 : A사 사례를 중심으로)

  • In this study, the improvement of the IP system, which is the core infrastructure of the MRO project, and its effect were analyzed. Systematic problems and problems that are not competitive in the actual operating environment were systematically derived, and based on this, the most suitable method for target system development was found and improved. And the data of the improved system was analyzed and the effect was verified through empirical analysis of the system improvement effect through the user questionnaire. As a result of the study, the item with the highest improvement effect was convenience, which increased by 12.43 points. Then it increased by 10.25 points in terms of features. In particular, you will notice a significant improvement in speed by 30-50%. This is because the empirical analysis results are more objective and realistic than other conceptual models. Also, from the practical point of view, based on the results of the empirical analysis, corporate management can more effectively promote the intellectual property system, which is expected to contribute to the enhancement of corporate competitiveness.

  • This paper is studied in order to develop the models that are appropriate for the procurement of electronic books at the school libraries. To develop the model, the following factors were reviewed: the characteristics of an electronic book, the factor analysis that affect the electronic book price, use case, environment, the role of government for the price decision model and procurement method. The models were proposed based on the above analysis and review. In addition, the proposed models reflect various opinions that the school libraries can apply.

  • Nowadays, High-rise building becomes higher and bigger than ever. As a result, lots of construction materials are needed at the same times. Because of divided diverse process of construction, several different Processes concur simultaneously with complexity of procurement. So, effective construction material supply and lift-up are essential part of the spot. Especially, when ending part of construction, there are much conflict between finishing and equipment materials also problems of folding lift-up. The Purpose of this paper is suggesting better effective lift-up system through analysis of loading factors.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish a quality assurance method and managerial standard through management practices and identification method of counterfeit items as measure to eradicate counterfeit items of weapon system. We have performed a study in three significant terms. First, a general study on counterfeit items. In this part, we have described the definition, cause and control need of counterfeit item. Second, management practice of foreign-purchased counterfeit items. Finally, quality assurance methods of counterfeit items. We have proposed the counterfeit items management method, building managerial standard and network, improvement of a system and strengthening quality assurance method.

The Impact of Nonconforming Items on (s, S) Inventory Model with Customer Order Reservation and Cancellation

  • The ultimate goal of inventory management is to decide the timing and the quantity of ordering in response to uncertain demands. Recently, some researchers have focused upon an impact of distortions in the information, e.g., customer order cancellation, on an economical inventory policy. The customer order cancellation is considered a kind of distortions in demands, because a demand that is eventually cancelled is equivalent to a phony demand. Also, there are some additional distortions in the inventory information. For instance, the procurement of suppliers may include some nonconforming items as a result of imperfect production and inspection by the suppliers, and/or damage in transit. The nonconforming item should be considered a kind of distortions in the inventory information, because the nonconforming item is equivalent to a phony stock. In this article, we consider an inventory model under the situation that customers can cancel their orders and the procurement of suppliers may include some nonconforming items. Then, we introduce the customer order reservation into the inventory model for the purpose of avoiding the costly backlogs, because the customer order reservation gives retailers a period to fulfill customer's requests. We formulate a periodic review (s, S) inventory model and investigate the economical operation under the situation mentioned above. Further, through the sensitivity analysis, we show the impact of these distortions and the effect of the customer order reservation on the inventory policy.

An Optimal Mission Assignment Model for Determining a Minimum Required Level of Nuclear-powered Submarines (원자력 추진 잠수함 최소 소요량 결정을 위한 임무 할당 최적화 모델)

  • This study first analyzes the necessity and the validity of procuring nuclear-powered submarines, and presents an optimization model as an integer program to determine a minimum required level of them. For an optimization model, we characterize a submarine's mission, ability and availability, and apply these to the model by constraints. Then, we assign the submarines available currently and the nuclear-powered submarines, that will be newly introduced, to the predefined missions over the planning time periods in a way that the number of nuclear-powered submarines be minimized. Randomly generated missions are employed to solve a mission assignment problem, and the results show that our integer programming model provides an optimal solution as designed, and this can provide a guideline for other weapon system procurement processes.

  • Acquisition processes in public libraries, especially as influenced by policies and regulations both in national and regional levels have not been in the main area of concerns in the research of library and information science. While the area of collection management has yet been one of the major issues in this filed, public library book-purchasing in the major factor to achieve effective library collections. This study concentrated on the policies and regulations that attempts to normalize and control the acquisition process in public libraries. This research analyzed and investigated (1) various policies and regulations regarding the library collection as public procurement, (2) legitimacy of decision between normal price procurement and discounted price contract under the current policy on normal retail price of books, (3) budget allocation, (4) policies on library acquisition processes. Suggestions are also added for the efficient collection building in public libraries.

Evaluation on the Procurement Logistics of Automobile Factories Based on the Fuzzy-AHP-TOPSIS (Fuzzy-AHP-TOPSIS를 활용한 자동차 공장의 조달물류 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Automobile industry is facing a variety of risks, including the rise of international oil price and the increase of car prices. In addition to the government's deregulation, efforts should be made to improve management aiming at higher production efficiency. In this study, we established a model for evaluating the procurement logistics based on the Fuzzy-AHP-TOPSIS by using the factors that are actually used in real companies aimed at the improvement of procurement logistics. A total of three automobile factories of Company G were chosen as the evaluation subject. In the result of the Fuzzy-AHP analysis that was conducted on a sample of three car factories, solving the long-term quality problems, minimizing the stop time due to the shortage of materials, preventing the of equipment accident, and solving the short-term quality problems were proven to be the most important factors. TOPSIS analysis result indicated that Factory B had the best procurement logistics. Our study has significance that it can contribute to the improvement of efficiency in the automobile industry as the evaluation model suggested in this study can be used for regular evaluation related to the procurement logistics in the future.

  • Supplier relationship management (SRM) is an important contributor to a company's efficiency and credibility. Although several ways are used to provide SRM functionality, these are often not easily integrated with existing procurement systems. We designed and implemented a practical SRM system called BestChoice SRM and present its design and architecture. It has the core functionality of SRM with the simple adaptability of BestChoice which is a decision support system for evaluating suppliers with the aid of visualized analysis It allows seamless integration with existing systems and permits flexible strategy changes as market conditions shift. The key to this flexibility is template-based segmentation. Ease of integration was demonstrated through the installation of BestChoice SRM at a major Korean commercial e-procurement agency.

  • The efficiency of the purchasing and procurement logistics is important in automotive industry. The rationalization of production system is directly impact on productivity and quality. For this reason importance of logistics is high. Despite we are continuously making effort, our country are still below the level than developed country on logistics efficiency. Rising labor costs is an important factor in increasing logistics costs. So workforce reduction in logistics department is a large part. We deal with A-company inbound logistics, especially procurement logistics in automotive logistics as research object. So in this study we do research on work load balance about workers. We do research on 1,475 kinds of components in procurement process. We applied work load balance algorithm on chassis, final, sequence, trim warehouses workers. According to number of workers and average M/H, algorithm is applied in two ways. After applied work load balance algorithm we reduced numbers of workers from 28 to 20 and improved worker load balance rate from 47.1% to 93.7%.
