VOD (Video-On Demand) Services are considered to be one of the most successful data broadcasting services, along with Electronic Program Guides (EPGs). In particular, VOD services provide supplementary revenue for broadcasting companies in addition to the existing subscription fees and advertisement-based revenue. Therefore, each broadcasting company has developed its own VOD service and constantly seeks to improve it. This leads to the development of new VOD services, so developers are considering ways to effectively handle the frequent development needs. In this background, we conducted underlying research to apply the feature-oriented analysis model to the development of VOD services. The feature-oriented analysis model used in this study is the Feature-Oriented Domain Analysis (FODA) one developed by SEI of Carnegie Mellon University. FODA provides a tool for specifying the feature model of a software domain, based on which the developers can determine the configuration of the software with the customers. This study developed a feature model of the VOD service domain and devised the functionalities and test cases in an integrated manner with the feature model. Additionally, we proposed a VOD service development process utilizing the feature model, function specification, and test cases.

This study, therefore, provides the practical model for the job analysis technology focusing on the job process as a tool to improve the productivity of white collar workers.

In this study, we analyzed applicability of object database, designed the concept model based on object-oriented idea for measurement data management, and applied the design model to object database. The concept model composes three sub models Infrastructure managing information model, Infrastructure measurement data model, and Measurement unit model. The process to expand measurement data of new type was executed easily without changing database schema in object database. Therefore, applicability of new technology to infrastructures for building a safety management network of road bridges could be increased with object database system.

In the Netherlands, Streefland(Elbers, 2003) gave a solution on how teachers can help students to participate in the process of knowledge construction by investigating constructions and activities of a community of inquiry for a primary school students(between 11 and 13 years of age). In Australia, Goos(2004) analyzed the teacher's role in creating a classroom culture of inquiry, which appeared to be taken for granted by the Grade 12 group, for the Grade 11 students by classroom observation and interviews. In Korea, because of diverse obstacles with a university entrance examination, a study about teacher's role in inquiry-oriented instruction for high school mathematics schooling has rarely appeared in the literature. The purpose of this study is to investigate teacher's role for promoting and managing inquiry-oriented mathematics instruction effectively by a case study. To fulfill this purpose, we develop inquiry-oriented instruction model by investigating teacher's role as an assistant for helping students to do mathematical activity.

Service-Oriented Architecture(SOA) is improving rapidly in IT Environment. Enterprise companies interest in implementation infrastructure based on SOA to adapt quick changes of large and complex distributed environment. SOA is a component model that inter-relates the different functional units of an application, called services, through interfaces and contacts between theses services. In this paper, we studied the concept of the relationship between SOA and standard web service core and therefore, we model the web service based on SOA. We implemented the application and business service architecture using web service that include the XML and SOAP. We confirmed that how the each SOA characters like interoperability, reusability, scalability and flexible business process adapted to web service and present a web service modeling that is maintained the neutrality using loose service coupling through the method of service model process and web service architecture designing methodology based on SOA.

In this paper, we propose a method to manage production system easily for operators when either equipments or products are changed. And we explain the scheduling AI tool which realizes the proposal method. The tool's knowledge expression consists of models, rules, mathematical expression and fuzzy logic. The model expresses the relations between products and manufacture, and properties of products. The models are separated into three type, equipment model, operation model, and product model. These models are classified by applicable fields as the assembly process or continuous plant process, The model expression of each type is based on object oriented paradigm. We report systems utilizing our approach.

An extension of interaction matrix formulation to the problem of system and disturbance identification for a plant that is corrupter by both process and output disturbances is presented. With only an assumed upper bound on the order of the system and an assumed upper bound on the number of disturbance frequencies, it is shown that both the disturbance-free model and disturbance effect can be recovered exactly from disturbance-corrupted input-output data without direct measurement of the periodic disturbances. The rich information returned by the identification can be used by a performance-oriented model-based loaming or repetitive control system to eliminate unwanted periodic disturbances.

The expanded spiral model in this paper consists of five processes of architecture design, architectural construction, architectural maintenance, operation, and architectural management. The former four processes are executed alternatively, while the latter architectural management process is executed continuously interacting with the other processes during the whole life cycle of the system. The expanded spiral model provides a conceptual framework to sort discussions of architectural degeneration into those of product-oriented processes and those of management processes, making it possible to incorporate the models and body of knowledge about project and program management especially those of Project Management Institute, into discussions of architectural degeneration. A good architecture decomposes the software-intensive system into components mutually interacting in a well-formed structure. The architecture design process and the architectural construction process together create the object system with well-designed architecture. The architectural maintenance process prevents the implemented architecture deviate from the designed architecture. The architectural management process monitors the changes of requirements including architecturally significant requirements, supports the other processes to be executed reflecting various perspectives of stake-holders, and creates and documents the reasons of architectural decisions, which is considered as a key element of the architecture.

The process of panel line in the shipyard produce the panel of outside planking which is located the side and bottom of a ship. The stiffeners or plates are welded onto the plates in this process. In this study, the panel line was performed to work process analysis and was analyzed into the IDEF0(Integration Definition) model that is functional modeling methodology. Also the panel line was analyzed to find out the risk factor and expected accident/safety guide from each process. And then this outputs were applied to the IDEF0 model. The mobile application which is designed by ooCBD(Object-oriented Component Based Development) method is able to use the output data of the process analysis in the panel line. This mobile application could be used by employees and safety managers without regard for working location and time.

Highly (111)-oriented PZT [Pb(Zrl-xTix)O3] thin films in the Zr-rich rhombohedral phase-field were successfully fabricated on Pt(111)/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates by combining PLD method with sol-gel process. These highly (111)-oriented films can be used as model systems for polarized Raman scattering study of PZT in the rhombohedral-Phase field because the (111)-direction is the principal off-center axis of the rhombohedral ferroelectricity. For this purpose, we have fabricated PZT films employing two distinctive compositions : one with Zr/Ti = 90/10 (abbreviated as PZT90/10) and the other with Zr/Ti= 60/40 (PZT60/40). The PZT90/10 film belongs to the octahedrally distorted FR(LT) phase with a cell-doubled structure, whereas the PZT60/40 is in the high-temperature FR(HT) phase-field at room temperature. To clearly separate E(TO) phonon modes from Al(TO) modes of the (111)-oriented rhombohedral film, we have suitably devised Z(X,Y)Z and Z(X,X)Z backscattering geometries for E(TO) and Al (TO), respectively. The polarized scattering experiment demonstrated that both types of (111)-oriented rhombohedral films closely followed the Raman selection rule.
