An Efficient Repository Model for Online Software Education

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient repository model for online software education. The software education of app development consists of 7 stages: coding & debugging, submit, collaboration, review, validate, deployment, certification. Proposed repository model supports all 7 stages efficiently. In the coding & debugging stage, the students repeat coding and debugging of source. In the submit stage, the output of previous process such as source codes, project, and videos, are uploaded to repository server. In the collaboration stage, other students or experts can optimize or upgrade version of source code, project, and videos stored in the repository. In the review stage, mentors can review and send feedbacks to students. In the validate stage, the specialists validate the source code, project, and the videos. In the deployment stage, the verified source code, project, and videos are deployed. In the certification stage, the source code, project, and the videos are evaluated to issue the certificate.

  • Currently, many companies are trying to be more competitive by implementing the most appropriate software package, called ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). ERP can support the company's business process. A repository, which can store and retrieve enterprise-wide information, is a key component of such software package. This paper implements an enterprise repository for the ERP. A well-known repository standard, IRDS (Information Resource Dictionary System), is employed for the repository architecture. The proposed metadata schema can help develop database, business applications, models, and workflow. To illustrate the practical usefulness, a real-life ERP prototype is built within the framework of the proposed repository.

  • Spent nuclear fuels are regarded as a high level radioactive waste and they will be disposed in a deep geological repository. To maintain the safety of the repository for hundreds of thousands of years, the spent fuels are encapsulated in a disposal canister and the canister containing spent fuels should have the structural integrity and the corrosion resistance below the several hundreds meters from the ground surface. In this study, the concept of the spent fuel encapsulation process and the process equipment fur deep geological disposal were established. To do this, the design requirements, such as the functions and the spent fuel accumulations, were reviewed. Also, the design principles and the bases were established. Based on the requirements and the bases, the encapsulation process and the equipment from spent fuel receiving process to transferring canister into the underground repository including hot cell processes was established. The established concept of the spent fuel encapsulation process and the process equipment will be improved continuously with the future studies. And this concept can be effectively used in implementing the reference repository system of our own case.

유비쿼터스 비즈니스 모델 저장소를 이용한 경쟁 전략 수립 방법 (A method to build competitive strategy based on the ubiquitous business model repository)

  • It is important to choose and develop right business model in the process of implementing the ubiquitous service concept. In particular, it is also required to build a method which can assist in establishing a business model in a competitive perspective to differentiate business strategy. However, we could not find the existing studies which tried to develop business model including methods on how to differentiate business strategy in a competitive environment. In this study, we propose an ontology for repository of ubiquitous business model and address on how to apply the proposed business model repository to real ubiquitous industry. We also built a repository of unlicensed wireless device industry to check the applicability of proposed ubiquitous business model ontology and to show the various examples. We expect that building the business model repository contributes to reduce the redundancy and inefficiency for industry as well as to increase likelihood of business success for an individual company.

  • Workflow management system provides automation of job processes by maintaining shareability on information about various job process schedules and persons related to those schedules. Existing workflow management systems use file or database to store the information generated in those systems. However, file or database system could manage only non-complicated information for the workflow but not the information resources of an enterprise which is complicated and of various formats. Therefore, we need a data management system that could control those information resources. This system should manage the data which are distributed at several places geographically. Information Repository could meet those requirements. Information Repository may integrate, store and manage information resources requested by application systems. We have an international standard for the information repository, Information Resources Dictionary System(IRDS). The IRDS, however, does not support distributed environment. In this paper, we design and implement an information repository based on IRDS that may be operated in distributed environment. We verify that this information repository is more effective and is more effective than any other file or database system.

  • Currently, various research institutes in Korea are conducting research to develop a safety case for deep geological repository for high-level radioactive waste (HLW). In the past, low and intermediate-level waste (LILW) was approved by a regulatory body by performing a post-closure safety assessment, but HLW has different disposal characteristics and safety objectives are different. Therefore, in the case of HLW, safety assessment should be performed based on these changed conditions, and specific procedures are also under development. In this paper, the regulatory status of prior research institutes, feature, event and process (FEP) and scenario development cases were investigated for well-organized FEP and scenario development methodologies. In addition, through the results of these surveys, the requirements and procedures necessary for the FEP and scenario development stage during the safety assessment of repository for HLW were presented. These review results are expected to be used to identify the overall status of previous studies in conducting post-closure risk assessment for HLW repository, starting with identifying regulatory requirements, the most basic element.

  • In a design-to-manufacturing environment, the product data is shared by various CAD/CAM/CAE systems with little integration or substantial data redundancy. The main purpose of this paper is to build a database containing all the features required for STEP-NC machining and to show how a STEP-NC repository can support the complete process for machining. A STEP-NC database schema has been constructed and several query functions have been built for the purpose of implementing the retrieving system of a STEP-NC database. The EXPRESS data model of ISO 14649 has been mapped to the database data definition language of the Oracle database. To apply the STEP-NC database to an industry example, the ISO 14649 part program has been stored into the STEP-NC database. To implement example scenarios, the sample query interface has been built.

ASSESSMENT OF THE COST OF UNDERGROUND FACILITIES OF A HIGH-LEVEL WASTE REPOSITORY IN KOREA

  • This study presents the results of an economic analysis for a comparison of the single layer and double layer alternatives with respect to a HLW-repository. According to a cost analysis undertaken in the Korean case, the single layer option was the most economical alternative. The disposal unit cost was estimated to be 222 EUR/kgU. In order to estimate such a disposal cost, an estimation process was sought after the cost objects, cost drivers and economic indicators were taken into consideration. The disposal cost of spent fuel differs greatly from general product costs in the cost structure. Product costs consist of direct material costs and direct labor and manufacturing overhead costs, whereas the disposal cost is comprised of construction costs, operating costs and closure costs. In addition, the closure cost is required after a certain period of time elapses following the building of a repository.

  • 업무프로세스 관리시스템(BPMS:business process management system)을 이용하면 새로운 프로세스를 정의하거나 기존의 프로세스를 갱신하는 일이 매우 용이하다. 대체로 표준화되고 일상적인 업무를 대상으로 프로세스를 관리하는 것은 이러한 소프트웨어를 사용하여 효율성을 높일 수 있겠으나, 비일상적인 예외상황에 대한 처리를 위해서는 별도의 전문가 참여나 특수한 의사결정 과정을 거쳐야 하는 경우가 많다. 본 논문은 다수의 예외처리용 업무 프로세스가 저장소에 축적된 상황을 전제로 예외처리 프로세스 선정의 자동화 방안을 제시한다. 예외처리에 가장 적합한 프로세스를 검색하는 것은 예외상황에 관한 충분한 이해가 필요하기 때문에 상황의 인지(context awareness)는 매우 중요한 과제이다. 예외상황의 이해를 원활히 하고, 예외처리 프로세스의 효율적인 선정을 위해 본 연구에서는 '상황변수'와 '의사결정변수' 자료구조를 도입하였다. 전자상거래의 배송과정의 예외사례를 사용하여 제시한 변수구조가 어떻게 검색트리 생성에 활용되는지를 예시하였다. C5.0 알고리즘은 최적검색트리를 생성해주며, 그것은 또한 문제의 상황에 최적인 예외처리 프로세스의 선정을 위한 검색경로를 설정한 것임을 보여준다.

추천시스템을 위한 복합지식저장소 설계 (Design of Compound Knowledge Repository for Recommendation System)

  • 본 연구는 복합저장소 구축 방법과 복합지식 프로세스 개발을 위한 기술적 방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 복합지식 저장소에 저장되는 데이터 대상은 복합지식 메타데이터와 디지털 자원 모두를 포함하며, 사용목적에 따라 사용자 역할, 기능적 요소, 서비스 범주로 나눌 수 있다. 이 세 가지 요소는 저장소의 추상적 모델을 설명하는 기본적인 구성요소이다. 본 연구에서는 복합지식의 메타데이터를 2가지 요소로 구분하여 정의하였다. Component는 지식을 사용하고 생성하는 주체나 활동단위, 리소스 자체 등에 대한 속성을 나타내고, Context는 지식객체가 포함되어 있는 맥락을 나타낸다. 복합지식 프로세스 Agent는 복합지식의 분류와 등록, 검색, 패턴 정보 관리 등의 역할을 수행하고 복합지식 저장소와 사용자 사이의 데이터 흐름과 처리를 담당한다. 복합지식 프로세스 Agent는 데이터의 검색과 추출, 분산 환경에서 데이터 교환을 위한 데이터의 수집과 출력, 저장된 데이터의 추가, 변경 등이 발생한 것을 알려주는 경고, 데이터의 저장과 등록, 메타데이터 조회 후 원하는 물리적 자료를 요청하는 요청과 전달 등의 기능으로 구성하였다. 본 연구에서 개발하고자하는 추천시스템을 위한 복합지식저장소 구축은 산업 현장에서 적시에 다양한 콘텐츠를 사용자에게 제시함으로서 일과 학습이 동시에 일어날 수 있도록 하여 시의적절한 지식을 실시간 가시화함으로써 학습 생산성을 증대하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다.
