A flexible stretch forming process is useful for small quantity batch production because various shape changes of the flexible die can be achieved conveniently. In this study, the design variables, namely, the punch size, curvature radius and elastic pad thickness, were quantitatively evaluated to understand their influence on sheet formability using statistical methods such as the correlation and regression analyses. Forming simulations were designed and conducted by a three-way factorial design to obtain numerical values of a shape error. Linear relationships between the design variables and the shape error resulted from the Pearson correlation analysis. Subsequently, a regression analysis was also conducted between the design variables and the shape error. A regression equation was derived and used in the flexible die design stage to estimate the shape error.

When size and shape of moving object have been changed, a correlator often accumulates walk-off error. A success of correlation-based tracking largely depends on choosing suitable window size and position and thus transferring the proper reference image to the next frame. For this, we propose the Adaptive Window Algorithm with Four-Direction Sizing Factors (AWA-FSF) for fast adjusting a reference region to enhance reliability of correlation-based image tracking in complex cluttered environments. Since the AWA-FSF is capable of adjusting a reference image size more rapidly and properly, we can minimize the influence of complex background and clutter. In addition, we can finely tune the center point of the reference image repeatedly after main tracking process. Thus we have increased stability and reliability of correlation-based image tracking. We tested performance of the AWA-FSF using 45 real image sequences made of over 3400 images and had the satisfied results for most of them.
This paper proposes an algorithm to improve the correlation between giga-hertz transverse electromagnetic (GTEM) cell and open area test site (OATS). It is based on the dipole modeling process of an unknown source object in a GTEM cell and on the evaluation of the approximate far field equations correlated with measured GTEM powers at output port of the GTEM cell. In this algorithm, the relative phase differences between dipole moments play an important part in modeling the test object as a set of dipoles and offer stable calculation of emission values. The radiated emission test using this algorithm requires fifteen orientations of equipment under test, but the increased orientations as compared with the previous method have little effect on the time needed for testing. Radiation from a notebook computer has been tested for statistical analysis of the correlation between GTEM data and OATS data. The emission test results of the notebook computer show that the mean, the standard deviation, and the correlation coefficient are -0.62, 1.99, and +0.85, respectively. These figures indicate that this algorithm provides improved accuracy in the measurement of electromagnetic emissions over the previous method.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation between the Apartment Purchase Price Decision Factor and Amenity decision Factor with cognition of the Consumer. The result are as follows; 1. The correlation coefficient between the Apartment Price Decision Factor and Amenity decision Factor with cognition of the Consumer was 0.587. 2. The ranking of the purchase price factor which it prefers were analyzed orientation > sunlight > view > the rising price expectation > natural environment etc. And the ranking of the amenity were analyzed orientation > natural environment > view > sunlight > noise etc. 3. Consumer group was classified the location, sex, year of ages and unit scale. The rank correlation coefficient of (the significant was below 0.05) sex was 0.617~0.644, year of ages was 0.62~0.771 and unit scale was 0.762~0.852. This research proved the fact that the amenity correlated with the apartment purchase price decision factor, so amenity contained an economic value. And this result will be used in decision-making-process of apartment construction.
This paper presents a technique, which identifies both process noise covariance and sensor noise covariance by using innovation correlation test. A correlation test, which checks whether the square root Kalman filter is workingly optimal or not, is given. The system is stochastic autoregressive moving-average model with auxiliary white noise Input. The linear quadratic Gaussian control is used for minimizing stochastic cost function. This paper indentifies Q, R, and estimates parametric matrics $A(q^{-1}),B(q^{-1}),C(q^{-1})$ by means of extended recursive least squares and model reference control. And The proposed technique has been validated in simulation results on the fourth order system.

In this study, new stochastic point rainfall models which can consider the correlation structure between rainfall intensity and duration are developed. In order to consider the negative and positive correlation simultaneously, the Gumbels type-II bivariate distribution is applied, and for the cluster structure of rainfall events, the Neyman-Scott cluster point process is selected. In the theoretical point of view, it is shown that the models considering the dependent structure between rainfall intensity and duration have slightly heavier tail autocorrelation functions than the corresponding independent mode]s. Results from generating long time rainfall events show that the dependent models better reproduce historical rainfall time series than the corresponding independent models in the sense of autocorrelation structures, zero rainfall probabilities and extreme rainfall events.

The correlation coefficient method, which was proposed by our research group, is applied to digital particle holography to locate the focal plane of particles. It uses the fact that the correlation coefficient is maximum at the focal plane. The factors influencing this method are discussed with a numerical simulation of holograms. For real holograms, the Wiener filter was proposed to process both recorded holograms and reconstructed images. The application results using the dot array target showed that the Wiener filter is a very effective tool for processing holography-related images. The effects of the dot size and the object distance on the errors in the determination of the focal plane by the correlation coefficient method were investigated by using the calibration target.

The construction industry is in the process of changing from the existing labor-intensive production system to a construction automation system using advanced information and communication technologies. Accordingly, in order to identify key research areas and utilization technologies in the field of construction automation, this study collected the latest 17 years (2000-2016) of papers published in International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction (ISARC) and conducted a correlation analysis between the construction management areas and automation technologies based on the keyword frequency. As a result, the BIM, WSN, and Augmented reality were extracted as the technology keywords with high correlation with various areas of construction management.

A simulation model is proposed to evaluate the effect of correlations between activity durations on the overall project duration. The proposed model incorporates NORTA, a recent developed statistical method, into the simulation process to allow arbitrarily specified marginal distributions for activity durations and any desired correlation structure. The generality is of practical value when systematic data is not available and planners have to rely on arbitrary experts' estimation, which may involve a mixed situation when some activity durations are continuously distributed whereas others are discrete outcomes. The proposed model is validated by showing that the correlation coefficients of the simulation results are close to the originally specified ones. The simulation results are compared to two conventional approaches: PERT and simulation without correlation. The comparisons illustrate that the proposed model can provide important management information, which would otherwise be distorted due to the neglect of the correlations between activity durations.

General transformer's life is known as paper insulation' life. If a transformer is degraded by these aging factors, it is known that electrical, mechanical and chemical characteristics for transformer's oil-paper are changed. When the kraft paper is aged, the cellulose polymer chains break down into shorter lengths. It causes decrease in both tensile strength and degree of polymerization of paper insulation. The paper breakdown is accompanied by an increase in the content of furanic compounds within the dielectric liquid. In this paper it is aimed at analysis on correlation between aging characteristics for insulating diagnosis of thermally aged paper. For investigating the accelerated aging process of oil-paper samples accelerating aging cell was manufactured for estimating variation of paper insulation during 500 hours at $140^{\circ}C$ temperature. To derive the results, it was performed analysis such as tensile strength(TS), depolymerization(DP), dielectric strength(DS), relative permittivity, water content(WC) and furan compound(FC) for aged paper. Also for analyzing correlation between insulating degradation characteristics, we used linear regression method. As as results of linear regression analysis, there was a close correlation between TS and DP. WC, FC. But dielectric strength was a weak correlation with aging time.
