  • Sports activities conducted by multiple people are difficult to proceed in a situation where a widespread epidemic such as COVID-19 is spreading, and this causes a lack of physical activity in modern people. This problem can be overcome by using online exercise contents, but it is difficult to check detailed postures such as during face-to-face exercise. In this study, we present a model that detects posture and tracks movement using IT system for better non-face-to-face exercise content management. The proposed motion tracking model defines a body model with reference to motion analysis methods widely used in physical education and defines posture and movement accordingly. Using the proposed model, it is possible to recognize and analyze movements used in exercise, know the number of specific movements in the exercise program, and detect whether or not the exercise program is performed. In order to verify the validity of the proposed model, we implemented motion tracking and exercise program tracking programs using Azure Kinect DK, a markerless motion capture device. If the proposed motion tracking model is improved and the performance of the motion capture system is improved, more detailed motion analysis is possible and the number of types of motions can be increased.

  • In this study, we present a comparative analysis of major autoencoder(AE)-based anomaly detection methods for quality determination in the manufacturing process and a new anomaly discrimination criterion. Due to the characteristics of manufacturing site, anomalous instances are few and their types greatly vary. These properties degrade the performance of an AI-based anomaly detection model using the dataset for both normal and anomalous cases, and incur a lot of time and costs in obtaining additional data for performance improvement. To solve this problem, the studies on AE-based models such as AE and VAE are underway, which perform anomaly detection using only normal data. In this work, based on Convolutional AE, VAE, and Dilated VAE models, statistics on residual images, MSE, and information entropy were selected as outlier discriminant criteria to compare and analyze the performance of each model. In particular, the range value applied to the Convolutional AE model showed the best performance with AUC PRC 0.9570, F1 Score 0.8812 and AUC ROC 0.9548, accuracy 87.60%. This shows a performance improvement of an accuracy about 20%P(Percentage Point) compared to MSE, which was frequently used as a standard for determining outliers, and confirmed that model performance can be improved according to the criteria for determining outliers.

  • Currently, roadway operation agencies provide interior zones of tunnels with emergency information including crash, fire, and vehicles' stop, through state-of-the-art technologies such as variable message signs and radio-based broadcast systems. However, when coping with an emergency in tunnel interior zones, such information could be too late for drivers to access. A radio-based emergency alert system at the access zones of freeway tunnels, on the other hand, could be a good alternative for solving this problem. Therefore, the objective of this study is to assess user acceptability of such an alternative system. To carry out this study, an online survey was conducted on 762 drivers, and the survey results were analyzed using a structural equation modeling to identify factors affecting acceptability of the proposed system. As a result, driver characteristics such as age group, driving frequency, and driving career, utilization of conventional traffic information, and usefulness of conventional traffic information have a positive impact on acceptability. It is expected that the findings of the study will be a basis to effectively address and deploy a new emergency alert system at the access zones of freeway tunnels.

  • The chaperone practices is being applied to solve the problem of sexual harassment in clinics in medical institutions. Therefore, considering the characteristics of the radiation work and the application of the chaperone practices in the radiation work, this study is to analyze the requirements for the application of the chaperone practices and the impact that may occur on the job. From the end of 2021 to the beginning of 2022, a survey was conducted targeting radiologists in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and about 52.9% of the surveys were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the demand for the application of the chaperone practices was higher among women than men, the younger the age, the higher the degree, and the lower the age. Also, as for the job impact of the application of the chaperone practices, the higher the demand, the greater the reduction in sexual harassment and credibility. In other words, the younger the age and the higher the education, the higher the need for the chaperone practices, but it is thought that it is necessary to supplement the policy for job security and Employment stability before applying it. Therefore, when considering the application of the chaperone practices to radiation work in the future, it is judged that it is necessary to sufficiently collect opinions in advance to guarantee the job in the relevant occupation.

  • The article identifies the problem of monitoring the quality of higher education in three main areas, which are comparative pedagogical systems of education. The first direction is determined by dissertation works, the second - monographs and textbooks, and the third reveals scientific periodicals. According to its internal structure, monitoring the quality of education combines important management components identified in the article (analysis, evaluation and forecasting of processes in education; a set of methods for tracking processes in education; collecting and processing information to prepare recommendations for research processes and make necessary adjustments). Depending on the objectives, three areas of monitoring are identified: informational (involves the accumulation, structuring and dissemination of information), basic (aimed at identifying new problems and threats before they are realized at the management level), problematic (clarification of patterns, processes, hazards, those problems that are known and significant from the point of view of management). According to its internal structure, monitoring the quality of education combines the following important management components: analysis, evaluation and forecasting of processes in education; a set of techniques for tracking processes in education; collection and processing of information in order to prepare recommendations for the development of the studied processes and make the necessary adjustments. One of the priorities of the higher education modernization program during the COVID-19 pandemic is distance learning, which is possible due to the existence of information and educational technologies and communication systems, especially for effective education and its monitoring in higher education. The conditions under which the effectiveness of pedagogical support of monitoring activities in the process of distance learning is achieved are highlighted. According to the results of the survey, the problems faced by higher education seekers are revealed. A survey of students was conducted, which had a certain level of subjectivity in personal assessments, but the sample was quite representative.

  • Chronic diseases have been increasing recently as the average life expectancy of humans has been extended, and this trend has caused problems such as the widespread demand for health and rehabilitation services and rising medical costs. In order to solve this problem, the community-based rehabilitation has been developed and strengthened in Korea and gradually promoted since 2019. It is important to secure access to clients who want to use services to revitalize community-based rehabilitation. So in this study, as part of the community-based rehabilitation, intends to devise smartphone applications designs and develop a prototype to secure access to community-based occupational therapy services based on occupation and activities. For Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF), International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), and Allen Diagnostic Module-2 (ADM-2) were used to devise and categorize occupation and activity based application content, and link OTPF, ICF, and ADM-2 through prior research analysis and expert meetings. The derived content was visualized through literature review and activity analysis, and was implemented to enable direct playback within the application using the YouTube API, and finally developed a prototype application. The Android Studio 3.5.2 for Windows 64-bit was used to build the application prototype. In further research, converging various digital technologies for user convenience and additionally researching community-based occupational therapy service providers opinions and service user satisfaction will improve accessibility to community-based occupational therapy services for clients who have difficulty occupational performance in the community.
