The Synchronization of ASEAN +3 Business Cycles: Prerequisites for Common Currency Union

  • This study aims to analyze the relationship between the business cycles of the ASEAN +3 countries. In addition, the effects of the spillover value on the coincident indicators are determined. This study employs secondary data and uses multivariate time series of five ASEAN countries, namely, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. The proxy was the real gross domestic product (GDP) collected annually from the CEIC, the IMF, and the World Bank for the period from 1964 to 2016. The data was plotted against two time periods, 1964-1998 as the pre-crisis period, and 1999-2016 as the post-crisis period. The index data was changed to the base year 2010. The data was subsequently separated from the trends and the cyclic components. The cyclic components were obtained by using Hondrick-Prescott filter, and them were further analyzed. The analytical method used was Contemporaneous and Cross-Correlation tools. The results showed that, before and after the crisis, the value of the business cycle correlation between ASEAN +3 countries was stronger and moved together at the same level of lag value. The implication of this research was an initial finding of the ASEAN +3 countries' prerequisites for the formation of a common currency.

  • Thermoelectric is a key technology for energy harvesting and solid-state cooling by direct thermal-to-electric energy conversion (or vice versa); however, the relatively low efficiency has limited thermoelectric systems to niche applications such as space power generation and small-scale or high-density cooling. To expand into larger scale power generation and cooling applications such as ATEG (automotive thermoelectric generators) and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), high-performance bulk thermoelectric materials and their low-cost processing are essential prerequisites. Recently, the performance of commercial thermoelectric materials including $Bi_2Te_3$-, PbTe-, skutterudite-, and half-Heusler-based compounds has been significantly improved through non-equilibrium processing technologies for defect engineering. This review summarizes material design approaches for the formation of multi-dimensional and multi-scale defect structures that can be used to manipulate both the electronic and thermal transport properties, and our recent progress in the synthesis of conventional thermoelectric materials with defect structures is described.

  • In modern business conditions, the improvement of business processes cannot do without digitalization. Digital technologies allow businesses to conquer markets, quickly introduce new technologies not only into production processes, but also at all levels of economic activity. The rapid pace of development of information, communication and economic spheres determine the relevance of the research topic and the goals that digital management solves. Today, the use of digital equipment and platforms makes it possible to form the basis for the formation of competitive business advantages, minimize costs, and most importantly, respond in time to changes in both the internal and external environment..Thus, the main task of the study is to analyze the digital management system in a business environment. As a result of the study, current trends and prerequisites for digital management system in a business environment were investigated.

Evaluation of Autotransplantation (자가치아이식술의 장기적인 임상적 평가)

  • Purpose: Many clinical studies have reported that higher success rates are achieved with teeth that have immature roots than other autotransplanted teeth that have more immature root. However, based on date published recently, the success rate of autotransplantation of teeth with complete root formation was higher. The purpose of this study was to examine the long term(2 to 6 years follow-up) success rate of autotransplantation of third molar with complete root formation and to discuss some conditions and prerequisites for success. Materials and Methods: 26 sites of 24 patients aged 26 to 55 (mean age 40.8) were autotransplanted with third molars with complete root formation. These cases were followed for 2 to 6 years after surgery. The success criteria included (1) no discomfort during functioning (2) absence of progressive root resorption and alveolar bone resorption. Result: Of 26 teeth 5 teeth were failed, therefore success rate is 81%(21/26 teeth). The results suggested that higher success rate is acquired from (1) extraction socket due to dental caries (2) mandibular recipient site (3) patient younger than 40 years old. Autotransplantation of third molar to replace molars with advanced periodontal disease also showed considerably high success rate(84%). Conclusion: With appropriate case selection, autotransplantation of third molar with complete root formation remains a viable alternative for replacing a missing molar tooth.

  • The formation of a new world order is primarily caused by new conditions and military operations on the European continent. The intensification of military-political tension led to the formation of new centers of power and gravity, which in turn led to the concentration of weapons and general militarization. Changes in the world order as a result of military conflicts and an increase in hot spots in the world, an increase in threats and the formation of centers of military gravity, the inability of existing institutions to resolve the situation lead to the need to develop new security mechanisms. Studies show that in the current situation, the countries of the Baltic countries are especially actively increasing their level of technologization of the army and militarization in general. The creation of any alliance is always conditioned by the presence of external threats. Naturally, the increase in the number of threats creates preconditions for the development of new forms of cooperation within existing military alliances. It seems obvious that due to the current situation in the context of the military conflict and military aggression of Russia in Ukraine, as well as its constant threats, including to the Baltic countries, there is a need to form a certain alliance that can protect the eastern border of Europe and form a certain border between European countries and aggressor countries. The Baltic countries are actively involved in these processes, in addition, it is the Baltic countries that can enter the new military alliance proposed by Britain, which will unite Poland, Ukraine, the Baltic countries and, possibly, Great Britain.

  • The article examines the formation of the scientific paradigm of transformation of the potential-forming space of the regional economy under the influence of intellectual and innovative determinants. Based on the study of different scientific views on the nature and properties of potential-forming space through the study of approaches to understanding the concept of "space" clarified the complexity and multifaceted nature of the phenomenon and found that its characteristics are relevant to the industrial development model. It is revealed that the leading modern trends related to the spread of globalization and regionalization, rapid development of information and communication technologies, diffusion of innovations accompany the transition from industrial to post-industrial development and its development, which leads to new development: changes production, nature and relations between business entities, etc. It is proved that under such conditions, the region as a key element of the economic system, acquires a leading role in achieving sustainable and balanced development. These processes significantly affect the potential-forming space of the regional economy under the influence of intellectual and innovative determinants, leading to the need for its transformation and change in accordance with modern realities, which is reflected in thorough research on the formation of scientific paradigm based on the formation of its theoretical foundations and methodological basis. This study reveals the essence, role, functions, structure, process of formation of the scientific paradigm of transformation of the potential-forming space of the regional economy under the influence of intellectual and innovative determinants. It is proved that the formation of the modern scientific paradigm of transformation of the potential-forming space of the regional economy under the influence of intellectual and innovative determinants occurs in the context of building a post-industrial model of development, accompanied by consideration of the region as a spatial object territories from the physical plane to the spatial environment in which the development of human capital, innovation and self-development of the region. Taking into account the above, the article outlines the prerequisites and factors of formation of the scientific paradigm of transformation of the potential-forming space of the regional economy under the influence of intellectual and innovative determinants.

  • This research investigates the characteristics, principles, advantages, factors and problems of cluster development in Kazakhstan, and identifies the prerequisites, conditions and stages of organizing clusters on the framework of special economic zones. In this research, we used methods, which will allow analyzing of the organization industrial clusters in special economic zones in Kazakhstan. The author studied international experience of cluster development and the efficiency of the use of the model of the "rhombus effect" with account the specific features of interaction between the participants of the cluster, analysis of the legal framework for the formation and development of clusters. These have been identified as the more important or strategically necessary clusters in Kazakhstan: innovation-technological cluster, innovation-education cluster, innovation-petrochemical cluster, innovative-metallurgical cluster, transport and logistics cluster, textile industry cluster, tourism cluster, agro cluster, construction cluster, medical and pharmaceutical cluster. Firstly, the results suggest that the interaction of science, education, business and government in the development and implementation of innovation policy is not sufficiently structured to provide a balanced representation of the interests of the range of various innovative enterprises in Kazakhstan. Secondly, the legal basis of cluster development in Kazakhstan is determined. Need to develop mechanisms for the implementation of promising direction. Thirdly, the clusters can be formed in the existing special economic zones, allowing them to get right to the mass production of high-tech products that are developed.

  • This article is devoted to the study of the process of formation of the digital generation in a distance learning environment. With the introduction of quarantine due to the spread of COVID-19, opponents of digital technologies were forced to turn to relevant resources, while supporters identified new opportunities for the development of didactics and education in general. The irreversibility of the former educational reality became apparent and only the scale of the vision of potential change by interested and disinterested groups differed. Using a comprehensive approach, the authors consider the issues related to the direct and indirect impact of distance learning on children and young people born after the beginning of the XXI century. The article reveals the prerequisites and implications of distance education for the interaction of participants in the educational process. IC technologies during the educational process in the primary grades, in addition to identifying the student's learning deficit, should provide the transmission of non-verbal signals, which are important for children of this age. At the same time in the secondary school IR-technologies are designed to replace frontal learning during the assimilation of knowledge and at the same time not to worsen the quality of the educational process. Formation of students in the HEI takes place in the political science format, constant discussion of problem situations, so the task of introducing IC technology in this process is the accurate transfer of the content of the discussions. Individualization and autonomization of the educational process, its dependence on the results of the choice of educational content, and the use of pedagogical management tools change the philosophy of education for children and youth. The authors conclude that the formation of a digital generation, characterized by an increased level of digital literacy of children and youth, the possession of a certain level of digital capacity requires the use of strategies aimed at optimizing the learning process in a digital educational environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the model curriculum for Geomatics/Geoinformatics. Geomatics/Geoinformatics are emerging discipline for spatial data acquisition and processing. They have multidisciplinary characteristics which include surveying, computer sciences, spatial data processing-related disciplines. This study carried out with the in-depth study to the related department's the academic characteristics and curriculums. Generally, the curriculum consists of surveying and information technology. They basically require mathematics, physics as prerequisites. The related-departments belong to the engineering or science part. So, We can conclude that the academic characteristics have to belong In engineering sides. Modern disciplines usually require balanced knowledge, and Geomatics/Geoinformatics have to the multidisciplinary approaches. This study shows 1) the model curriculum of Geomatics/Geoinformatics for the 21st century by analyzing the related departments' curriculum, it consist of surveying, computer/information sciences, sustainable urban management and related laws, etc., 2) the needs of the good cooperation among the related disciplines and industry for the development of standardized texts and curriculums, 3) the needs of new certification for Geomatics/Geoinformatics, etc.

  • In modern society, the organization of the educational process plays an important role in education. Traditionally, it is through communication and dialogue between the teacher and the student that professional competence is acquired. As society develops, the demand in the global labor market changes and the requirements and criteria for specialists increase. Therefore, a new approach to managing the pedagogical interaction between a teacher and a student in the process of education in a higher educational institution allows a positive impact on the system of training specialists and opens up new prospects for the formation of competitive specialists. The issue of the quality of education is a key one and is covered in the documents regulating the process of educational activities.
