The methods used in this study included investigation of media facades used for landmarks in downtown areas in previous studies, visits to these areas, and recording of media facades. The changes in the colors or the size of buildings were analyzed among the recorded cases and 12 of these cases were selected for further study. The sensibility preference of the media facades was evaluated by sorting the 12 kinds of media facades, and providing them as materials to a group of 60 participants (40 undergraduate and 20 graduate students majoring in architecture and design) consisting of an equal proportion of males and females. This study addressed the following four_stage questions: 1) Five questions of recognition evaluation about media facades and the cognitive evaluation items of emotional vocabulary and color preference in each research case; 2) sensibility preference items regarding the media facade color design; and 3) design evaluation items of the media facades; 4) Video clips and still images were recorded from a middle distance at 7p.m to 11p.m. in central New York, Singapore, Seoul, and Beijing. The participants looked at the changes in colors through the video clips in each case and evaluated their preferences through 23 pairs of emotional vocabulary items using system dynamics. Construction of an emotional vocabulary followed, based on previous studies about media facades and color design. To evaluate the sensibility preference and the perceived representative colors of the media facade, this study suggests new emotional responses that depended on the color emotional vocabulary of light in the LED lighting technical evaluation methodology. A media facade with a moving change of colors, unlike a fixed landscape color design, suggests a new communication method based on architectural factors. New architectural color coordination can be presented for urban landscapes at night. Designs that factor in the pedestrians' emotional vocabulary or preference should take precedence over the use of high luminance and various colors.
The purposes of this study were 1) to analyze the relationship between brand equity factors ie brand awareness, brand image, brand preference and brand loyalty and 2) to suggest the strategy for brand management of contract food service management company. The developed questionnaires were distributed to the college and university students in Incheon area from September 20 to September 24 in 2004. Total 198 questionnaires were used for the final data analysis with response rate of $82.5\%$. For the statistical analysis, the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted by using SPSS Win (10.0). The results of this study showed that the following 5 hypotheses were supported. Hypothesis 1: The brand awareness of the contract foodservice company affects positively the brand image of that. Hypothesis 2: The brand image of the contract foodservice company affects positively the brand preference of that. Hypothesis 3: The brand awareness of the contract foodservice company affects positively the brand preference of that. Hypothesis 4: The brand preference of the contract foodservice company affects positively the brand royalty of that. Hypothesis 5: The brand image of the contract foodservice company affects positively the brand loyalty of that. As a conclusion, the brand awareness has a positive effect on the brand image and brand preference significantly, so it is recommended that the contract foodservice company should focus on improving the brand awareness as a brand strategy. And the brand preference and brand image have the significant effect on the brand loyalty. Therefore the company should strive to strengthen the brand loyalty though building brand preference and brand image, because the brand loyalty brings about the customer's more visiting the foodservices, which is directly related to the profitabilities of the contract foodservice management company.
Purpose: Indoor thermal comfort can be identified by combination of temperature, humidity, and air flow, etc. However, most thermal indexes in regard to thermal comfort are temperature dominant since it has been considered as a significant factor affecting to indoor thermal comfort The purposes of this study are to investigate indoor neutral temperature range of young Koreans with humidity perception, and to introduce a neutral temperature for temperature preference as well as temperature sensation in order to define the neutral temperature range chosen by occupants. It could be used as basic data for heating and cooling. Method: 26 research participants volunteered in 7 thermal conditions ($18^{\circ}C$ RH 30%, $18^{\circ}C$ RH 60%, $24^{\circ}C$ RH 30%, $24^{\circ}C$ RH 40%, $24^{\circ}C$ RH 60%, $30^{\circ}C$ RH 30%, $30^{\circ}C$ RH 60%) and completed subjective assessment in regard to temperature/humidity sensation and preference twice per condition in an indoor environmental chamber. Result: In RH 30%, sensation neutral temperature was $25.1^{\circ}C$ for men and $27.0^{\circ}C$ for women, and preference neutral temperature was $25.5^{\circ}C$ for men and $27.8^{\circ}C$ for women. In RH 60%, sensation neutral temperature was $23.6^{\circ}C$ for men and $25.9^{\circ}C$ for women, and preference neutral temperature was $23.4^{\circ}C$ for men and $26.3^{\circ}C$ for women. Neutral temperature increased with increasing relative humidity. Women were sensitive to humidity changes. Men expressed humidity changes as temperature variations. In most conditions, preference neutral temperatures were higher than sensation neutral temperatures, however, the preference neutral temperature for men in humid condition was lower than the sensation neutral temperature.

This study investigated the effect of clothing interest on party preference and suggested four party unities according to party wear types. A hypothesized model based on consumer innovativeness, clothing interest, party benefit, party interest and party preference was tested to determine the effect of clothing interest on party preference. Party unities were constructed according to party wear types along with party place, party food, and party music. Data was collected through two online surveys. The population of the survey was female consumers in their twenties. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability, correlations, and regressions were applied to the data of 305 samples. As a result, positive tendency toward consumer innovativeness, clothing interest, party benefit, party interest and party preference was observed in young female consumers with significant relations among five variables. Party preference was well-explained from the hypothesized research model, but the direct path from clothing interest to party interest was identified as insignificant. The most preferred party elements of place, food, music and wear was garden, barbecue, house music and mini dress, respectively. Four party unities according to party wear types were constructed and suggested based on the correlation analysis results between party wear and other party elements. The concept of party unity is useful to establish marketing strategies such as advertising and experience marketing in the party wear industry.
This aims is to estimate the consumers' preference on the brand rice using factor analysis, completed research on the consumption of brand rice revealed that the household supply in the Seoul area is increasing. An analysis whether housewives' preference in chosing the brand of rice was developed through the consumption experience and re-purchase intention investigation for the brand rice. Also the paper analyzed the consumers' preference using the logit and probit model. Number of respondents who participated in the study(95 %) totaled 1000 and the sampling method utilized was the multistage stratification and assignment abstraction. Results showed that the preference of housewives' depends on age, education and level of income. Such that as age, education, income level increase so thus their preference for brand rices also increase. Also the re-purchasing of brand rice is high when housewives have a higher educational attainment and prefers to go to work. Conclusively, the long-term sale view for brand rice is closely related to the economic conditions of a household. Hence, with the economic growth, there is a possibility that consumption of brand rice would increase compared to the ordinary rice. We can propose the following political intent from analysis of these results. First, There is a need for continuous public information as reinforcement for brand rice. Second, Marketing operation reinforcement could also be done for customer class security etc.

The main purpose of this study is to examine the gay men's clothing attitude and preference according to gender role, for reviewing their clothing culture. Specifically, this study focuses on 1) investigating gay men's clothing attitude(brand orientation, conformity, fashion leadership, sexual attractiveness), 2) identifying their clothing preference, 3) comparing the difference of lifestyle, and 4) comparing the difference of their preference color and wearing the accessary, according to their gender role. Futhermore, this study compares those factors between gay men and heterosexual men. The data was collected from 168 persons(76 gay men and 92 heterosexual men) in LGHRF(Lesbian & Gay Human Rights Federation), Korea Gaymen's Coalition and adult men living in Seoul. To analyze data, the methodology adopted in this study is frequency, t-test, and ANOVA. The results found in this study are as followings: First, sexual attractiveness was significant factor for the gay men's clothing attitude and not concern about conformity. According to the gender role, bottom, who have much of the woman in composition, was more higher for the fashion leadership than top, who have a propensity for masculine. Second, gay men prefer to masculine, simple and casual style. According to the gender role, 'top' was more likely to masculine, simple and formal style rather than 'Bottom'. Third, Gay men were much more concern about a cultural life style. Furthermore, a preference color for both group was blue. Especially, gay men tended to prefer a chromatic color. The implication getting from conclusion in this study was to study Gay men's taste for a fashion, clothing attitude and their preference to purchase, etc., in considering their buying power for clothing in a fashion market.

This study analyzed the contents of Goodreads review data, which is a social cataloging service with the participation of book users around the world, to identify the preference factors that affect book users' book recommendations in the library information service environment. To understand user preferences from a more detailed point of view, sub-datasets for each rating group, each book, and each user were constructed in the sample selection process. Stratified sampling was also performed based on the result of topic modeling of review text data to include various topics. As a result, a total of 90 preference factors belonging to 7 categories('Content', 'Character', 'Writing', 'Reading', 'Author', 'Story', 'Form') were identified. Also, the general preference factors revealed according to the ratings, as well as the patterns of preference factors revealed in books and users with clear likes and dislikes were identified. The results of this study are expected to contribute to more sophisticated recommendations in future recommendation systems by identifying specific aspects of user preference factors.
This study examined the relative importance and the most preferred level of factors which were identified through the readability researchs. For this. subjects were given a text constructed in usual letter width with square form letter or non-square form and then. ranked the preference between the text factors. In experiment 1 where a text was printed in square letters. letter size was rated as the most important factor followed by line spacing letter width, line length, letter spacing, line justification, and letter form. But when non-square letters were used in experiment 2. the second most important factor was the letter spacing although letter size still topped the list. These findings indicate the differences in letter designing principles for various types and the unfamiliarity to non-square letter forms for general public. Unlike inYi and Jin(1998) where letter width turned out to be the most sensitive factor, the highest priority should be given to letter size when publishing with usual letter width.

A survey was performed to present a scheme for building a healing forest park inside a city in consideration of the fact that healing forests are located in non-urban areas because of their nature, and are therefore not conveniently accessible to urban population (n=196). As a result, among 196 respondents to the survey, 74.5% indicated that it was necessary to build an urban healing forest park. In the case of the expected usage pattern, were an urban forest park to be built, the largest proportion responded that it would be used to "walk", followed by "rest and meditation" and then "meeting/talk/date". An analysis showed that the largest proportion responded that they factor in "Accessibility" (48%), followed by "Park condition" (16.8%), and "Vegetation type" (12.2%). According to the analysis of usage preference for healing therapy, it was shown that the largest proportion preferred "Terrain therapy" (37.8%), followed by "Exercise therapy" (19.9%), and "Naturopathy" (18.9%). The factor anlaysis of usage preference regarding urban healing forest park facilities showed that the components were divided into "Operation facilities" and "Natural healing space", and the largest proportion preferred "Trails for healing", followed by "Space or forest for meditation" and "Health promotion center", and then "Facilities for a exercise therapy". In building an urban healing forest park, we think that it is effective to introduce zones and facilities in consideration of park characteristics that are centered on everyday behaviors, such as taking a walk, which differ from those of healing forests located in non-urban areas.

Due to the popularization of fashion, it is important for consumers to find out under what kinds of reasons consumers choose and prefer the clothing products as consumers are interested in clothing and have variety of their styles to choose This study is to classify the self-image of the middle-aged women and examine the characteristics of each group and also to inquire into the evaluation of clothing by each group. Data are collected through a self-administered questionnaire survey from 4 to October 31, 2005 from 350 middle-aged women in Daegu; 275 are used for the data analysis. Data analysis is performed using SPSS Package, which included cluster analysis, factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, and chi-square test. The results are as follows: 1. As a result of factor analysis of self-image, the five factors which are intelligent image, social image, fashionable image, female image, bold image are extracted. Besides, as a result of cluster analysis, the three types which are female-type, neuter-type, male-type are classified. 2. The middle-aged women regard the classic style as their best style for outgoing and then they like the casual style, elegant style, dramatic style in order. 3. As a result of factor analysis for clothing image, the four factors which are dignity, attraction, simplicity activity are extracted. 4. According to self-image types, there are differences for clothing image and preferring clothing styles. While female-type groups choose the elegant style, neuter-type groups regard the classic style as their best style and male-type groups regard the casual style as their best style. In case of daring style, the preference shows the lowest among all the types unrelated to self-image types.
