도재 축성 방법에 따른 금속 도재관의 전단결합강도 비교 (Comparison of shear bond strength according to porcelain build-up methods)

  • 목적: 이 논문의 목적은 열가압법을 이용한 도재의 축성이 금속과 어떠한 결합력을 나타내는지 알아보는 것이다. 연구 재료 및 방법: 90개의 비귀금속 시편($4{\times}4{\times}8mm$)을 제작하여 세 개의 군으로 나누었다. 모든 시편은 군에 따라 2종류의 다른 방법으로 포세린 축성($4{\times}4{\times}3mm$)하였다: Group I : $Inspiration^{(R)}$, Group II : Ivoclar, IPS $Inline^{(R)}PoM$, Group III: GC Initial IQ-One $Body^{(R)}PoM$. 각 군의 시편의 반은 열순환시켰다. 모든 시편의 전단 결합 강도는 Instron universal testing machine을 이용하여 측정하였다. 통계학적 분석을 위해, 2-way ANOVA가 사용되었다. 결과: 열순환을 하지 않은 시편의 전단결합강도는 모든 실험군에서 유사한 값으로 나타나 통계적 유의성이 없었다(P > 0.05). 각 실험군에서 열순환 처리 한 시편에서는 전단결합강도의 감소가 나타났으나 통계적 유의성은 없었다(P > 0.05). 열순환 처리한 시편의 실험군간 전단결합강도 비교에서 실험 III군에서 높게 나타났으나 유의한 차이는 없었다(P > 0.05). 결론: 전단결합력의 관점에서 보았을 때 열가압성형 도재는 임상적으로 유의한 것으로 사료된다.

  • Dental restorative materials must have the physical properties to withstand wear and corrosion. Base metal alloys possess better mechanical properties and lower price than the gold alloys. For these reasons such alloys have largely replaced the precious metal alloys. One aspect to con-sider is the release of metal substances to oral environment. The release of elements from dental alloys is a continuing concern because the elements may have the potentially harmful biological effects on local tissues. The purpose of this study was to minimize metal release on the nonprecious metal surfaces by ion beam assisted deposition(IBAD) of titanium nitride (TiN) Ni-Cr-Be alloys with and without TiN coatings were secured in an wear test machine opposing ruby ball to determine their relative resistance to wear with loom, 200m, 300m and 400m sliding distance. And the corrosion behavior of the Ni-Cr-Be alloys with and without TiN coatings and 3 dental noble alloys have been studied. Potentiodynamic curves were used to analyse the corrosion characteristics of the alloys. The measurement of the released Ni and Cr ions was conducted by analysis of the electrolyte solution with atomic absorption spectroscopy. The results were as follows : 1. The critical sliding distance that wore down TiN coatings of $2.5{\mu}m$ thickness in this study condition was 300m. 2. Ion beam assisted deposition of TiN showed a good surface modification with respect to the properties of wear and corrosion resistance. 3. X-ray diffraction showed that the strongest peak of TiN is TiN(111) in the coatings. 4. The release of Ni and Cr ions from alloys measured by means of atomic absorption spectroscopy was reduced by ion beam assisted deposition of TiN.

Comparison of Catalytic Activity for Methanol Electrooxidation Between Pt/PPy/CNT and Pt/C

  • This work explored the catalytic effect of Pt in multi-wall carbon nanotube and poly-pyrrole conductive polymer electrocatalysts (Pt/PPy/MWCNT). A home-made Pt/PPy/MWCNT catalyst was first evaluated by comparing its electrochemical active surface area (ESA) with E-Tek commercial catalysts by cyclic voltammetry in $H_2SO_4$ solution. Then, the methanol oxidation currents of Pt/PPy/MWCNT and the hydrogen peaks in $H_2SO_4$ solution were serially measured with microporous electrode. This provided the current density of methanol oxidation based on the ESA, allowing a quantitative comparison of catalytic activity. The current densities were also measured for Pt/C catalysts of E-Tek and Tanaka Precious Metal Co. The current densities for the different catalysts were similar, implying that catalytic activity depended directly on the ESA rather than charge transfer or electronic conductivity.

촉매연소기용 귀금속 촉매와 조촉매의 열적 내구특성 연구 (Thermal Durability Characteristics of Precious Metal(Pt) and Additives for a Catalytic Combustor)

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the thermal durability characteristics of the Pt catalyst and additives used in a catalytic combustor. The catalyst used in the experiment was based on Pt (3 wt%), and a total of 12 types were prepared using a combination of additives (Ni, La, Ce, Fe, and Co). From the results, In the fresh state, the two types of combination catalysts with the highest C3H8 conversion were Pt_Ce (79.9%) at 500℃, and in the three types of combination catalysts, Pt_La_Ni (93.4%) at 500℃ had the best performance. Among aged catalysts at 850℃ and 8 hours, Pt-La-Ni and Pt-Ni-Ce catalysts showed the highest C3H8 conversion of about 71% at 500℃.

냉간시동시 자동차용 저온활성촉매의 성능 향상을 위한 수치적 설계 (Numerical Design of Light-off Auto-Catalyst for Reducing Cold-Start Emissions)

  • Light-off catalyst has been used for minimization of cold-start emissions. Improved cold-start performance of light-off catalyst needs the optimal design in terms of flow distribution, geometric surface area, precious metal loading, cell density and space velocity. In this study, these influential factors are numerically investigated using integrated numerical technique by considering not only 3-D fluid flow but also heat and mass transfer with chemical reactions. The present results indicate that uneven catalyst loading of depositing high active catalyst at upstream of monolith is beneficial during warm-up period but its effect is severely deteriorated when the space velocity is above 100,000 $hr^{-1}$ To maximize light-off performance, this study suggests that 1) a light-off catalyst be designed double substrate type; 2) the substrate with high GSA and high PM loading at face be placed at the front monolith; and 3) the cell density of the rear monolith be lower to reduce the pressure drop.

  • 코발트, 니켈, 구리 그리고 귀금속분말에 적용할 수 있는 polyol법은 균질한 크기와 형상을 갖는 금속분말합성에 매우 효과적인 공정이다 이 때 polyol은 용매, 환원제 그리고 보호제의 역학을 한다 $AgNO_3$글 촉매제로 첨가하여 비균질계 핵생성 반응을 야기할 경우 서브마이크폰 크기(0.5$\mu$m)의 코발트 분말을 한성학 수 있었다. 또한 촉매제인 Ag 핵의 수출 변화시키므로써 코발트 분말의 입도를 제어할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

EVALUATION OF NOx REDUCTION CATALYST BY MODEL GAS FOR LEAN-BURN NATURAL GAS ENGINE

  • A three-way catalyst system of a natural gas vehicle (NGV) has characteristics of higher fuel consumption and higher thermal load than a lean-bum catalyst system. To meet stringent emission standards in the future, NGV with the lean-bum engine may need a catalyst system to reduce the amounts of HC, CO and NOx emission, although natural gas system has low emission characteristics. We conducted experiments to evaluate the conversion efficiency of the NOx reduction catalyst for the lean-burn natural gas engine. The NOx reduction catalysts were prepared with the ${\gamma}-Al_{2}O_3$ washcoat including Ba based on Pt, Pd and Rh precious metal. In the experiments, effective parameters were space velocity, spike duration of the rich condition, and the temperature of flowing model gas. From the results of the experiments, we found that the temperature for maximum NOx reduction was around $450^{\circ}C$, and the space velocity for optimum NOx reduction was around $30,000\;h^{-1}$ And we developed an evaluation model of the NOx reduction catalyst to evaluate the conversion performance of each other catalysts.

알칼리 붕소 수소화물 직접이용 연료전지에서의 전극촉매 연구 (Study of the Electrode Catalyst for Direct Borohydride Fuel Cel)

  • Direct Borohydride Fuel Cell은 알칼리 붕소 수소화물의 수용액을 이용하는 연료전지로 연료의 직접 산화반응을 통해 기존의 DMFC(직접 메탄을 연료전지)보다 높은 전류밀도와 OUV(Open Circuit Voltage)를 나타낸다. 또한 액체 연료를 사용하므로 장치 구성이 간단하며, 사용하는 연료가 반응성이 높은 알칼리 붕소 수소화물로 이루어져 있기 때문에 탄화수소 계열의 액체 연료와 달리 전기화학 반응이 비귀금속 전극에서도 쉽게 이루어질 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다 하지만 강알칼리 조건에서 전기화학 반응이 진행되므로 이에 적합한 재료로 장치를 구성해야 하며, 액체 상태의 연료가 전해질을 투과하는 현상인 크로스오버 문제를 해결해야 하고, 생성물인 $BO_2$-가 침적되어 전지효율을 떨어뜨리는 것을 방지해야 하는 문제점이 있다. 또한 알칼리 붕소 수소화물이 물과 반응하여 수소를 발생시키는 hydrolysis 반응을 억제하여야 하고 직접 산화반응만이 진행될 수 있도록 전지를 구성해야 연료효율을 높일 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수소 생성반응일 hydrolysis 반응은 억제하고 연료의 직접 산화반응만을 진행시키기 위한 전극촉매에 대하여 연구하였다. 일반적인 저온형 연료전지의 전극촉매로 사용하는 Pt등의 귀금속 촉매와, 귀금속 촉매를 대체할 수 있는 Ni등의 비귀금속 촉매를 그 연구 대상으로 하였으며, 평가 방법으로는 unit cell station을 이용한 단위전지 성능측정 실험과 Potentiostat/Galvanostat을 이용한 half cell 실험을 병행하여 수행하였다.

바다양체 위상 표현을 바탕으로 한 박판 형상 모델링 및 솔리드로의 변환 (Sheet Modeling and Transformation of Sheet into Solid Based on Non-manifold Topological Representation)

  • In order to create a solid model more efficiently for a plastic or sheet metal product with a thin and constant thickness, various methods have been proposed up to now. One of the most typical approaches is to create a sheet model initially and then transform it into a solid model automatically for a given thickness. The sheet model as well as the transitive model in sheet modeling procedure is a non-manifold model. However, the previous methods adopted the boundary representations for a solid model as their topological framework. Thus, it is difficult to represent the exact adjacency relationship between topological entities and to implement the topological operations for sheet modeling and the transformation procedure of a sheet into a solid. In this paper, we proposed a sheet modeling system based on a non-manifold topological representation which can represent solids, sheets, wireframes, and their mixture. A set of generalized Euler operators for non-manifold topology as well as the sheet modeling capabilities including adding, bending, and punching functions are provided for easy modeling of sheet objects, and they are perfomed interactively with a two dimensional curve editor. Once a sheet model is completed, it can be transformed into a solid automatically. The transformation procedure is composed of the offset functions and the Boolean operations of sheet models, and it is even more comprehensive and easier to be implemented than the precious methods.

REDUCTION CHARACTERISTICS OF NOx STORAGE CATALYST FOR LEAN-BURN NATURAL GAS VEHICLES

  • Various types of NOx storage catalysts for NGV's were designed, manufactured, and tested in this work on a model gas test bench. As in most of other studies on NOx storage catalyst, alkaline earth metal barium(Ba) was used as the NOx adsorbing substance. The barium-based experimental catalysts were designed to contain different amounts of Ba and precious metals at various ratios. Reaction tests were performed to investigate the NOx storage capacity and the NOx conversion efficiency of the experimental catalysts. From the results, it was found that when Ba loading of a catalyst was increased, the quantity of NOx stored in the catalyst increased in the high temperature range over 350. With more Ba deposition, the NOx conversion efficiency as well as its peak value increased in the high temperature range, but decreased in the low temperature range. The best of de-NOx catalyst tested in this study was catalyst B, which was loaded with 42.8 g/L of Ba in addition to Pt, Pd and Rh in the ratio of 7:7:1. In the low temperature range under $450^{\circ}C$, the NOx conversion efficiencies of the catalysts were lower when $CH_4$, instead of either $C_3H_6$ or $C_3H_8$, was used as the reductant.
