The purpose of this study was to compare the shaping ability of the two different Ni-Ti file systems and the two different engine systems in simulated canals. A total of four groups of each 10 were tested. Each group was instrumented with HeroShaper and Endo-Mate2 (Croup HE), HeroShaper and Tecnika (Croup HT), ProFile and Endo-Mate2 (Group PE), and ProFile and Tecnika (Croup PT). Canal preparation time was recorded. The images of pre- and post- instrumented root canals were scanned and superimposed. The amounts of increased width and centering ratio were measured and calculated at apical 1, 3 and 5mm levels. These data were statistically analyzed with one-way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test The results of this study were as fellows ; 1. Canal preparation time of HT group was the shortest (p<0.05). 2. The amount of increased canal width in HE group was significantly larger than PT group at apical 1mm level (p<0.05) At apical 3mm level, PT group was significantly smaller than other groups (p<0.05). At apical 5mm level, PE group was significantly larger than PT group (p<0.05). 3. The amount of centering ratio in HE group was significantly larger than other groups (p<0.05). At apical 5mm level, HT group was significantly larger than PE group and PT group (p<0.05). Under the condition of this study, torque-controlled endodontic motor is safer than no torque controlled motor, especially when the active file is used.

Landslides are known as gravitational mass movements that can carry the flow materials ranging in size from clay to boulders. The various types of landslides are differentiated by rate and depositional features. Indeed, flow characteristics are observed from very slow-moving landslides (e.g., mud slide and mud flow) to very fast-moving landslides (e.g., debris avalanches and debris flows). From a geomechanical point of view, shear-rate-dependent shear strength should be examined in landslides. This paper presents the design of advanced ring-shear apparatus to measure the undrained shear strength of debris flow materials in Korea. As updated from conventional ring-shear apparatus, this apparatus can evaluate the shear strength under different conditions of saturation, drainage and consolidation. We also briefly discussed on the ring shear apparatus for enforcing sealing and rotation control. For the materials with sands and gravels, an undrained ring-shear test was carried out simulating the undrained loading process that takes place in the pre-existing slip surface. We have observed typical evolution of shear strength that found in the literature. This paper presents the research background and expected results from the ring-shear apparatus. At high shear speed, a temporary liquefaction and grain-crushing occurred in the sliding zone may take an important role in the long-runout landslide motion. Strength in rheology can be also determined in post-failure dynamics using ring-shear apparatus and be utilized in debris flow mobility.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to measure the effects of a breastfeeding management program for promotion of breastfeeding. Method: The study design was a non-equivalent control group pre-post test. The study subjects were pregnant women receiving a breastfeeding education class in one hospital in Ilsan. The total number of study subjects was 153 pregnant women, namely 75 mothers in the experimental group and 78 in the control group. Data was collected between June and November, 2006. A breastfeeding management program was provided to the experimental group while admitted for delivery, and in weeks 2, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, and 24 of the postpartum period. The rates of breastfeeding were measured in weeks 2, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, and 24 of the postpartum period. Result: There were significant differences in the scores of rate of breastfeeding between the two groups(all cases), which were 93.1 in the experimental group and 85.8 in the control group at week 4; 88.1 vs 71.8 at week 8; 83.4 vs 56.7 at week 12; 71.4 vs 53.9 at week 16; and 65.7 vs 48.4 at week 20 respectively. However, there were not significant differences in the scores of rate of breast-feeding between the two groups, which were 97.7 in the experimental group and 96.0 in the control group in the early postpartum period at week 2, and 59.6 vs 45.3 at week 24. Add to this, the study analyzed only people who had jobs. As a result, the scores of rate of breastfeeding were 94.8 in the experimental group which were significantly higher than 88.5 in the control group at week 4; 93.2 vs 73.3 at week 8; 89.6 vs 57.2 at week 12; and 75.0 vs 46.0 at week 20 respectively. However, there were not significant differences at week 2, week 16 and week 24. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that a breastfeeding management program during the last trimester of the perinatal period and postpartum period may increase the duration of breastfeeding in postpartum clients who intend to breastfeed. This study supports the literature which found that prenatal education and postpartum support are important to the outcome of breastfeeding.
This study intends to test the effects of blended learning and case based learning on learning strategies, critical thinking disposition and academic self-efficacy for undergraduate nursing students. A one group pre-post design was applied to adult nursing of 23 nursing students. Data were collected between March 2 and April 30, 2021. Data were analyzed by using SPSS/WIN 23.0. The results showed that learning strategies(t=-2.43, p=.019) and sub-factor cognitive strategy (t=-2.22, p=.031), meta cognitive strategy(t=-2.59, p=.013) and resource management strategy (z=-2.46, p=.014) were significantly higher than levels before blended learning and case based learning. Critical thinking disposition(t=-1.14, p=.262) and academic self-efficacy(t=-.34, p=.734) were higher than levels before but was no significantly. In conclusion, It was confirmed that blended learning and case based learning is an effective educational program that improves learning strategies of nursing students. In the future, it is necessary to develop a program in which blended learning and case based learning can improve critical thinking disposition and academic self-efficacy, and to verify the effectiveness.
This study aimed to verify how a multisensory storytelling-based activity-based intervention affects social interaction in children with cerebral palsy. As a quasi-experimental investigation, this study used a single-blind, two-group pre-post test design. This study comprised 24 children aged 7 to 8 y who had been diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy and were classified as having GMFCS stages I to III. Twelve children were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups, with neither the children nor their guardians knowing which group they were placed in. The group program comprised 16 sessions of 60 min each, twice a week for eight weeks. The experimental group engaged in an activity-centered intervention centered on multisensory storytelling, whereas the control group engaged in structured physical activity. The activities were assessed using the peer relations skills scale to determine the extent to which social interaction had changed prior to and during the child's intervention. The SPSS 25.0 for Windows (IBM Corp, USA) application was used to analyze the data, and the significance level (α) for statistical verification was set to 0.05. Furthermore, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank and Mann-Whitney U tests were used to assess the differences in social interaction between the experimental and control groups. Significant differences were observed in the total of the peer relationship skill scale and cooperation and empathy areas of the subtest in the intragroup change of the peer relationship skill scale between the experimental and control groups. However, the experimental group demonstrated a significant difference in the initiative area, whereas the control group demonstrated no significant difference. A significant difference was observed in the amount of change between the two groups in the initiative area and total of the subtest of peer relationship skills but no significant difference in the collaboration and empathy areas. We gave a multisensory storytelling-based activity-based intervention based on multisensory storytelling to children with cerebral palsy and saw a significant improvement in peer relationship skills. It may be proposed as an effective intervention strategy for children with cerebral palsy who struggle with social contact.
Mothers of Children with Disabilities have many difficulties in parenting because of their children's disabilities. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a Group music psychotherapy programs on parenting stress and self efficacy, and to explore the experiences of the mothers who participated in the program. Twenty mothers of children with disabilities participated in this study. These twenty mothers were divided into 10 mothers of each group. The Experimental group participated in the Group music psychotherapy programs, while the control group did not. The Group music psychotherapy program was implemented for 8 weeks. To prove the effects of the program, pretest-posttest control group design was applied. The differences between pre-test and post-test of two groups were analyzed using independent t-test. The quantitative results of the study were as follows: First, a significant differences was found between the experimental group and control group in parenting stress level. Second, a significant differences was found between the experimental group and control group in self-efficacy level. From the qualitative analyses, four themes emerged from the decrement of parenting stress; Positive change of recognition about their children, Getting rid of stress, Keeping their composure, and Sharing of their emotions. And three themes emerged from the increment of self-efficacy; Discovery of oneself, New stimulus, and Mental support. All the result described above shows that group music psychotherapy program gives positive effect to decrease in parenting stress and also to increase in self-efficacy. And new possibility and effectiveness can be proposed in the music therapeutic approach to the parents of children with disabilities.

Purpose: After developing and imparting knowledge of a simulation-based emergency airway management education program for nursing students, this study identified the effects of the education by evaluating emergency airway management knowledge, Clinical Performance Ability, self-efficacy, and critical thinking disposition. Method: The participants were 30 nursing students. Data were collected from October 14 to November 11, 2017, and analyzed using IBM SPSS Version 22.0. Results: The simulation-based nursing education program was developed and applied based on the ADDIE model involving five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Comparing the pre-and post-education results, we observed statistically significant improvement when considering emergency airway management knowledge (t=-9.98, p<0.001), Clinical Performance Ability (t=-23.90, p<0.001), self-efficacy (t=-16.77, p<0.001), and critical thinking disposition (t=-5.04, p<0.001). Conclusions: Simulation-based emergency airway management training program is an effective educational program that enhances the emergency airway management knowledge, Clinical Performance Ability, self-efficacy, and critical thinking disposition of nursing students. We believe that the program developed in this study contributes towards improvement of patient nursing quality by enhancing the ability of nursing students to cope with emergencies in practice. Furthermore, it can be applied for educating new nursing students, and contribute to the development of nursing practices.
This study conducted a group reminiscence program for the elderly who use the elderly daycare center. And this study verified the effectiveness of the elderly's mental health related quality of life to identify the relationship between the participating elderly and the non-participating elderly in a group reminiscence program. To this end, in order to examine the effectiveness of a group reminiscence programs for the elderly using the daycare center on MHRQoL, and the difference between the experimental group and the control group was compared with the non-equivalent control group pre-post test design. The research results are as follows. First, the experimental group that conducted the group reminiscence program in this study had a higher quality of life than the control group that did not participate the group reminiscence program. Second, significant results were found in vitality and mental health in the sub-factors of MHRQoL of the experimental group, and emotional role restriction and social function did not show significant results. Based on the results of this study, to develop and improve programs that encompass the entire sub-areas of MHRQoL, and to implement programs that positively affect the psycho-social intervention for the elderly persons. Finally, it was suggested to link and cooperate with senior welfare centers and general social welfare centers.
Purpose - This paper analyzes how to interpret the legal view of the precedents to the UK Insurance Act 2015, comparing it to the UK Marine Insurance Act (MIA) 1906 with a focus on the relationship between the duty of uberrimae fidei and the duty of disclosure. Furthermore, this study focuses on the judgment of the Korean Supreme Court in a case, that examined whether the legal nature of the duty of disclosure or duty of uberrimae fidei in insurance law can be considered as a matter related to the insurer's liability when the applicable terms of English law are incorporated under the insurance contract. Design/methodology - This paper belongs to the field of explanatory legal study, which aims to explain and test whether the choice of law is linked to the conditions that occur in the reality of judicial practice. The approach that is used toward this problem is the legal analytical normative approach. The juridical approach involves studying and examining theories, concepts, legal doctrines and legislation that are related to the problem. Findings - Regarding the requirements and effects of breach of the duty of disclosure, if English law and the Korean Commercial Act are handled differently from each other and Korean law is recognized as the applicable law outside of the insurer's liability, it may be whether the insurer's immunity under English law is contrary to s.633 of the Korean Commercial Act. In considering the breach of the duty of disclosure as a matter of the insurer's liability, even if English law is applied as a governing law, the question of how to interpret the agreement of the governing law in this case may also be raised in the interpretation of Korean International Private Law in relation to the applicable law that applies to the rest of the matter, excluding the matters of liability. Originality/value - According to the Korean Supreme Court judgement under the governing law of the MIA 1906, the basis for recognizing the assured's pre-and post-contractual duty of disclosure is separate, and the only important matters to be notified by the assured after the conclusion of the insurance contract are those that are "relevant" and "material circumstances" that are "relevant" to the matter in question after the conclusion of the insurance contract.

Purpose: Cancer patients experience a range of physical and psychological sequelae. Consistent nursing support should be provided along the cancer treatment path. This study aimed to i)examine the effects of a telephone counseling program after discharge on perceived health, psychological well-being, and satisfaction with nursing services, and ii)describe symptom distress and their coping methods. Method: The study was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pre-post test. The sample included 20 women with gynecologic cancer in the experimental group and the same in the control group from a university hospital in Seoul. The telephone intervention was given once from 5 to 7 days after the chemotherapy. The General Well-Being Schedule and Symptom Distress Scale were used. Result: An effect from telephone counseling was found only in the vitality subscale of psychological well-being. Other subscores, perceived health, or satisfaction with nursing services did not differ between the two groups. Pain, skin change, decreased appetite, and constipation were the major symptoms and a relatively few coping strategies were utilized. Conclusion: Protocol of telephone counseling led by a nurse needs to be further developed in regard to best timing, amount, and target effects for follow-up care of gynecologic cancer patients.
