The availability of Information Technology in geological and engineering geological fields is rapidly increasing in Korea. Especially GIS-based hazard mapping is the most distinctive part to predict a possibility of landslide occurrence. Integrated expert system for tunnel construction is also practically used to manage investigated or designed data and to predict un-known underground geological condition. Computer-based field data acquisition tools are also one of the typical part using information technology including GIS combined with mobile phone in Geological field.

It is important to control the axial forces of high tension bolts such as the automobile, construction machine, aircraft, marine engine bolts. However, the direct method to measure the axial forces of bolts practically have not been found out. The ultrasonic techniques is based on the principles that the bolt tensile elongation and ultrasonic velocity changes are proportional to the axial force below the yield point of the materials. From the result of the experiment, the coefficient of acoustoelasticity k could be measured as - 11.18*10$_{-5}$m $m^{2}$k $g_{f}$./.

Experiments were performed according to ultrasonic attenuation measurement and comparison method of DAC curve to analyze the difference between PSI and 2nd ISI ultrasonic testing results. Smaller error was found by comparison method of DAC curve, and that method was more useful practically.

GIS has the basic ability to process high-dense and precise digital data like LiDAR. But the software that common users can use when necessary is expensive and practically impossible for actual use. A pH-meter has been newly developed by using on ISFET as the ion sensing element. The performance characteristics of the developed pH-meter have been investigated and confirmed to be used practically. The stable operation and the temperature compensation were stressed in this study.

In this paper, we Investigate rationales for feedback adjustment using some techniques associated with automatic process control based on some nonstatioary disturbance models. Feedback-control schemes are often operated so that the nature of the disturbance that is being compensated is concealed and unusual deviations from the target cannot be taken account of. In this connection feedback control schemes is useful to extend the idea of common causes and special causes to such systems. Minimum-cost feedback schemes are discussed for some simple ,but practically interesting ,models.

The purpose of this study is to apply in various fields of products economically and practically using the characteristic of ash of holed briquette coal in maximum. According to the test results, the cure rate of ash of holed briquette coal is comparatively late. But it has shown nearly same level of physical properities compared with other fillers except hard clay and grey carbon.

Concept of conflict management system and necessity of introducing it into the executing process of public projects have been subjects of any previous studies. Those systems are, however, not practically applicable to rail projects given the unique nature of rail industry. In this context, the author presented cases of conflicts emerged during the process of the Gyung bu High Speed Rail Construction Project and mapped out realistic case study applicable to construction sites.

Salt accumulation in agricultural soils reduces the growth and productivity of crops. Although scientists have been studied the impacts of salinity on plants, the physiological mechanism of adaptation to salinity has not been well understood. Practically, salinity in irrigated soil of green and glass houses keeps increasing in Korea by the massive application of nitrogen fertilizer.(omitted)

In this paper, Firstly, it is shown that the high vibration and noise source of piping and pump system is the acostic resonance. Secondly, in order to decrese the high vibration and noise of piping and pump system, the acostic mode of piping have been changed and its effectiveness is investigated as applied it at piping system practically.
