This study investigates the wave propagation in porous functionally graded (FG) sandwich plates subjected to hygrothermal environments. A new simple three-unknown first-ordershear deformation theory (FSDT) incorporating an integral term is utilized in this paper. Only three unknowns are used to formulate the governing differential equation by applying the Hamilton principle. The FG layer of the sandwich plate is modeled using the power-law function with evenly distributed porosities to represent the defects of the manufacturing process. The plate is subjected to nonlinear hygrothermal changes across the thickness. The effects of the power-law exponent, core to thickness ratios, porosity volume, and the relations between volume fraction and wave properties of porous FG plate under the hygrothermal environment are investigated. The results showed that the waves' phase velocities increase linearly with the waves number in the FGM plate. The porosity of the FG materials plate has a noticeable impact on the phase velocity when considering the high ratios of the core layer. It has a negligible effect on small core layers. Finally, it is observed that changing temperatures and moistures do not influence the relationship between the power law and the phase velocity.

Differential power analysis (DPA) is disturbed by ghost peaks. There is a phenomenon that the mean absolute difference (MAD) value of the wrong key is higher than the correct key. We propose a compressed key guessing space (CKGS) scheme to solve this problem and analyze the AES algorithm. The DPA based on this scheme is named CKGS-DPA. Unlike traditional DPA, the CKGS-DPA uses two power leakage points for a combined attack. The first power leakage point is used to determine the key candidate interval, and the second is used for the final attack. First, we study the law of MAD values distribution when the attack point is AddRoundKey and explain why this point is not suitable for DPA. According to this law, we modify the selection function to change the distribution of MAD values. Then a key-related value screening algorithm is proposed to obtain key information. Finally, we construct two key candidate intervals of size 16 and reduce the key guessing space of the SubBytes attack from 256 to 32. Simulation experimental results show that CKGS-DPA reduces the power traces demand by 25% compared with DPA. Experiments performed on the ASCAD dataset show that CKGS-DPA reduces the power traces demand by at least 41% compared with DPA.

The sigmoid functionally graded mateiral(S-FGM) theory is reformulated using the nonlocal elatictiry of Erigen. The equation of equilibrium of the nonlocal elasticity are derived. This theory has ability to capture the both small scale effects and sigmoid function in terms of the volume fraction of the constituents for material properties through the plate thickness. Navier's method has been used to solve the governing equations for all edges simply supported boundary conditions. Numerical solutions of biaxial buckling of nano-scale plates are presented using this theory to illustrate the effects of nonlocal theory and power law index of sigmoid function on buckling load. The relations between nonlocal and local theories are discussed by numerical results. Further, effects of (i) power law index, (ii) length, (iii) nonlocal parameter, (iv) aspect ratio and (v) mode number on nondimensional biaxial buckling load are studied. To validate the present solutions, the reference solutions are discussed.
This study investigated the applicability of generalized TOPMODEL approach which introduces the power law of decreasing transimissivity with depth instead of the traditional exponential decreasing function. The 50m digital elevation model(DEM) of Dongkog subwatershed at Wichon Test Watershed was used to perform runoff simulation. Random number generation algorithm was integrated into the calibration process for the reliable of model performance. General power law version of TOPMODEL with exponent 2 and 3 showed higher simulation efficiency than other the approaches. This results from the fact that the power law models with exponent 2 and 3 can represent the soil characteristics of study area better than other models.

This article introduces a novel analytical model for examining the impact of porosity on shear correction factors (SCFs) in functionally graded porous beams (FGPB). The study employs uneven and logarithmic-uneven modified porosity-dependent power-law functions, which are distributed throughout the thickness of the FGP beams. Additionally, a modified exponential-power law function is used to estimate the effective mechanical properties of functionally graded porous beams. The correction factor plays a crucial role in this analysis as it appears as a coefficient in the expression for the transverse shear stress resultant. It compensatesfor the assumption that the shear strain is uniform across the depth of the cross-section. By applying the energy equivalence principle, a general expression for static SCFs in FGPBs is derived. The resulting expression aligns with the findings obtained from Reissner's analysis, particularly when transitioning from the two-dimensional case (plate) to the one-dimensional case (beam). The article presents a convenient algebraic form of the solution and provides new case studies to demonstrate the practicality of the proposed formulation. Numerical results are also presented to illustrate the influence of porosity distribution on SCFs for different types of FGPBs. Furthermore, the article validates the numerical consistency of the mechanical property changesin FG beams without porosity and the SCF by comparing them with available results.

The Lyapunov stability theorem is used to derive a control law that can be used to control the spacing between vehicles in a platoon. A third order system is adopted to model the vehicle and power-train dynamics. In addition, the concept of
The control strategy for damping analysis of STATCON is derived based on an energy function of the power system equation. The center-of-angle(COA) coordinated system by a simple equivalent physical system is used and the control law for this system is induced for FACTS devices as TCSC and STATCON. Damping results from the transient performance simulations carried out on the model system.
This study aimed to presents a simple analytical approach to investigate the thermal buckling behavior of thick functionally graded sandwich by employing both the sinusoidal shear deformation theory and stress function. The material properties of the sandwich plate faces are continuously varied within the plate thickness according to a simple power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. The core layer is still homogeneous and made of an isotropic material. The thermal loads are considered as uniform, linear and non-linear temperature rises across the thickness direction. Numerical examples are presented to prove the effect of power law index, loading type and functionally graded layers thickness on the thermal buckling response of thick functionally graded sandwich.
Incorrections between model and plant are parameter, system order uncertainties and modeling error due to disturbance like friction. Therefore to achieve a good tracking performance, adaptive discrete time sliding mode tracking controller is used under time-varying desired position. Based on the diophantine equation, a new discrete time sliding function is defined and utilized for the control law. Robustness is increased by using both a recursive least-square method and a sliding function-based nonlinear feedback. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm is proved by the results of simulation and experiment.

A new control volume finite element method is proposed for three dimensional analysis of polymer flow. Tetrahedral finite element is employed and co-located interpolation procedure for pressure and velocity is implemented. Inclusion of pressure gradient term in the velocity shape functions prevents the checkerboard pressure field from being developed. Vectorial nature of pressure gradient is considered in the velocity shape function so that velocity profile in the limit of very small Reynolds number becomes physically meaningful. The proposed method was verified through three dimensional simulation of pipe flow problem for Newtonian and power-law fluid. Calculated pressure and velocity field showed an excellent agreement with analytic solutions for pressure and velocity. Driven-cavity problem, which is reported to yield checkerboard pressure filed when conventional finite element method is applied, could be solved without yielding checkerboard pressure field when the proposed control volume finite element method was applied. The proposed method could be successfully applied to the three dimensional mold filling problem.
