  • This paper has presented the potential distribution for asymmetric double gate(DG) MOSFET, and sloved Poisson equation to obtain the analytical solution of potential distribution. The symmetric DGMOSFET where both the front and the back gates are tied together is three terminal device and has the same current controllability for front and back gates. Meanwhile the asymmetric DGMOSFET is four terminal device and can separately determine current controllability for front and back gates. To approximate with experimental values, we have used the Gaussian function as charge distribution in Poisson equation. The potential distribution has been observed for gate bias voltage and gate oxide thickness and channel doping concentration of the asymmetric DGMOSFET. As a results, we know potential distribution is greatly changed for gate bias voltage and gate oxide thickness, especially for gate to increase gate oxide thickness. Also the potential distribution for source is changed greater than one of drain with increasing of channel doping concentration.

  • We projected the distribution of Hedera rhombea, an evergreen broad-leaved climbing plant, under current climate conditions and predicted its future distributions under global warming. Inaddition, weexplained model uncertainty by employing 9 single Species Distribution model (SDM)s to model the distribution of Hedera rhombea. 9 single SDMs were constructed with 736 presence/absence data and 3 temperature and 3 precipitation data. Uncertainty of each SDM was assessed with TSS (Ture Skill Statistics) and AUC (the Area under the curve) value of ROC (receiver operating characteristic) analyses. To reduce model uncertainty, we combined 9 single SDMs weighted by TSS and resulted in an ensemble forecast, a TSS weighted ensemble. We predicted future distributions of Hedera rhombea under future climate conditions for the period of 2050 (2040~2060), which were estimated with HadGEM2-AO. RF (Random Forest), GBM (Generalized Boosted Model) and TSS weighted ensemble model showed higher prediction accuracies (AUC > 0.95, TSS > 0.80) than other SDMs. Based on the projections of TSS weighted ensemble, potential habitats under current climate conditions showed a discrepancy with actual habitats, especially in the northern distribution limit. The observed northern boundary of Hedera rhombea is Ulsan in the eastern Korean Peninsula, but the projected limit was eastern coast of Gangwon province. Geomorphological conditions and the dispersal limitations mediated by birds, the lack of bird habitats at eastern coast of Gangwon Province, account for such discrepancy. In general, potential habitats of Hedera rhombea expanded under future climate conditions, but the extent of expansions depend on RCP scenarios. Potential Habitat of Hedera rhombea expanded into Jeolla-inland area under RCP 4.5, and into Chungnam and Wonsan under RCP 8.5. Our results would be fundamental information for understanding the potential effects of climate change on the distribution of Hedera rhombea.

  • This study was conducted in an effort to provide important clues pertaining to the conservation and restoration of Aporia crataegi by identifying the spatial distribution characteristics of the current habitats, prospective habitats, and future habitats of A. crataegi in accordance with climate changes. To determine the distribution of A. crataegi, data from a total of 36 collecting points throughout South Korea, North Korea, China, Japan, Mongolia, and Russia are used. The spatial distributions of the data were examined through MaxEnt modeling. The distribution probability rates exceeded 75% at 18 locations among the 36 species occurrence locations, with Gangwon province showing the highest distribution probability in South Korea. The precision of the MaxEnt model was remarkably high, with an AUC value of 0.982. The variables that affect the potential distribution of A. crataegi by more than 10% are the degree of temperature seasonality, the amount of precipitation in the warmest quarter, the annual mean temperature, and the amount of precipitation in the driest month, in that order of importance. It was found that the future potential distribution area of A. crataegi continuously moves northward over time up to 2070s. In addition, the area of the potential distribution showing a habitable probability rate that exceeds 75% in northeast Asia was $28,492km^2$, where the area of potential distribution in the north part of Korean peninsula was $20.404km^2$ in size. Thus, it is anticipated that the most important future habitats of A. crataegi in the northeast Asia will be North and South Hamgyeong provinces and Ryanggang province near Mt. Baekdoosan in the northern area of the Korean peninsula.

  • The red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkia) originated from the North America distribute widely as invasive species throughout the world including Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America. The red swamp crayfish is also an invasive species in South Korea. We aimed to characterize the occurrence and distribution pattern of the red swamp crayfish, and evaluate the potential distribution of this species in South Korea. In South Korea, the red swamp crayfish was firstly reported in Seoul in 1996, and recently its occurrence is frequently reported at streams or reservoirs at different regions, showing the expansion of its distribution area. The red swamp crayfish has high potential to occur in the nationwide scale in South Korea because of their biological adaptation, effects of climate change, changes of their habitat condition, and various types of human activities. Finally, our results revealed the necessary to conduct an extensive field survey, to keep up a monitoring program for the occurrence of alien species, and to implement a strategy to prevent the dispersal of alien species in the natural ecosystems.

  • Purpose: This research aims to analyze the educational potential and students' satisfaction with the quality of education services distribution in Kazakhstani universities. The conceptual review shows that very few studies on regional development have been able to determine the level of satisfaction with the quality of educational services depending on the university's location. Research design, data, and methodology: The research methodology is divided into two approaches descriptive analysis and qualitative data analysis. The current educational situation and the distribution of educational services in the largest Kazakh universities were studied based on the proposed approaches' use. Statistical data are taken for indicators of educational potential for 2010-2020 from the Bureau of National Statistics. The primary data were collected based on a survey for 2021-2022 in five regions of Kazakhstan. Results: The results showed that there is a gender gap between men and women and regional disparities between the regions of Kazakhstan in the coverage of higher education. The results of the sociological survey revealed that the quality of educational services depends on the territorial location of the university. Conclusions: Based on the results of the assessment of educational potential and educational services, policy recommendations and further research in this area were proposed.

  • This paper presents electric potential rise on the surface of the earth due to ground currents. It is the aim of this paper to propose fundamental data relevant to the earth surface potentials depending on the soil structures. The earth potential rise, touch and step voltages in the immediate vicinity of the ground rod of a distribution pole were measured and analyzed. The results described in this paper are based on laboratory measurements which were intended to simulate conditions existing in actual installations. As a result, the earth surface potential rise, touch and step voltages strongly depend on the soil structure. The highest earth surface potential occurred in the vicinity of the top of ground rod. When the ground rod was installed in the distance range of $1{\sim}1.5\;m$ from distribution pole, the highest touch voltages appeared near the place of 1 m on the straight line connecting the distribution pole to ground rod.

  • This study evaluated a debris landform distribution potential area map in the southwest region of the Korean peninsula. A GIS spatial integration technique and logistic regression method were used to produce a distribution potential area map. Seven topographic and environmental factors were considered for analysis and 28 different data set were combined and used to get most effective results. Moreover, in an accuracy assessment, the extracted results of the Distribution Potential area were evaluated by conducting a cross-validation module. Block stream showed the highest accuracy in the combination No. 6, and that DEM (digital elevation model) and TWI (topographic wetness index) have relatively high influences on the production of the Block stream Distribution Potential area map. Talus showed the highest accuracy in the combination No. 13. We also found that slope, TWI and geology have relatively high influences on the production of the Talus Distribution Potential area map. In addition, fieldwork confirmed the accuracy of the input data that were used in this study, and the slope and geology were also similar. It was also determined that these input data were relatively accurate. In the case of angularity, the block stream was composed of sub-rounded and sub-angular systems and Talus showed differences according to the terrain formation. Although the results of the rebound strain measurement using a Schmidt's hammer did not shown any difference in topographic conditions, it is determined that the rebound strain results reflected the underlying geological setting.
