The purpose of this study was to diagnose the characteristics of current use of kitchen and scrutinize what to improve for the future kitchen development. To achieve the purpose, the small group wordshop panel was used. Two groups of 5 housewives per each were employed. For each group, there were a total of 3 consecutive meetings including 2 workshops and 1 field survey in each subject's house. The contents dealt with in the panel were as follows. First, actual condition and problems of using kitchen; second , possible solutions of the problems; third, needs for developing future kitchen. The major results were first, consumers require bigger kitchens to accomodate a variety of family activities ; second, kitchen needed to be more open encouraging family interaction and gave organic relationship to adjacent such as living room and utility room; third, due to korean cooking style, poor ventilation along with wet trash disposal was a serious problem. In addition to these. there revealed many problems which need to be improved and valuable ideas for the improvement.

Currently most of the online handwriting recongition system are using free style input method. However, it has disadvantages of ill-recongition. In this paper, we present a new online Korean HAndwriting recongition system(KOHA) which give a slice restriction and remove the ill-recongition. KOHA uses boundary lines of input window and the stenography is possible with KOHA. Also, KOHA has the advantage of Unistroke.

The purpose of this study is to define women's classic tailored suits surviving, despite current millennial impulses tend toward disintegration in style. Through documentary study, the reason which women had chosen the mannish tailored suits instead of sumptuous dresses in the 20th century beginnings is considered carefully. Also, examining the process of transition of women's classic suits makes it possible to infer the aesthetic characteristics of them. According to study, women had began to wear tailored suits acquiring physical comfort and the equality of the sexes. In the early stage, women imitated men's tailored suits in order to show seriousness, intelligent, capability for social success. However, in accordance with the advance of women's social position women modified it to suits themselves to present intrinsic feminity as well as masculine values. By staying the basic form, classic tailored suits have undergone constant internal changes in relation to sexuality. The aesthetic properties of women's classic tailored suits can be inferred as moderation, dualism, and versatility. In conclusion, the credibility with own authority and the evolutionary character inhering in the classic tailored suits could explain the continuity of them.

Most of all furniture had been produced from wood, because it is easy to obtain from our surroundings. As time goes by people want to decorate their house with new material furniture. Because it is outcome from development of material technology & industrialization. Furniture design trends of twenty century are not only the fruits of great talented furniture artists but also high-tech material engineers. In this study, I deal with a tubular steel, as an one of the most important material of furniture, and also tubular steel furniture manufactured by a cantilever method. This study researches what are special features of it, how can designers utilize it to furniture and how do they conquest defects of the material such as a sensation of coldness, hardness and so on. In this context, It is possible that create not only new shape of furniture but also new style of space through new technology innovation.

Until 1960 water pollution was caused by virus but now in according to industrial develop cent it has been continued environmental pollution by surfactant heavy metal, and hazardous chemical substance erst.. It is possible to Prevent contamination by virus owing to development of antibiotic but not to dissolve basely health effect by hazardous chemical substances because it takes very long time, about 5-40 years, average 20 years, in appearing a disease after exposure by then To maintain human life for 75 years, it need 55 ton of water. In the experiment of Public Health Institute, Tokyo, they reported that over 200 chemical substances can be detected in case of human being to drink tap water of Tokyo(1989) continuously. In our country, elevation of life style and development of industry result in increase of water use and overappreciation of pesticides in farm land a(sects drinking water quality. We estimated analytical item of drinking water hygienically by dividing into 5 groups such as physical effect item health hazardous inorganic item and health hazardous organic item ect. based on hygienic purpose.

Trying to give an overview of home informationization accelerated by the information age, the main purpose of this research is to suggest a guide for home Economics to adjust to the era. While the informatinization in home provides convenience and plays a major role to improve the quality of the life there are still many problems to be reflected on. First of all in order to utilize a variety of information devices it is needed that technical index related to home management such as home information device index and the expenditure on information is studied. Secondly, it is needed to predict possible home life style in the future and build up the ability to adjust to the change. Therefore, in the field of home economics, developing programs to offer the better chance of education on home life and culture, values, relationships, capability to enhance home life etc, is in urgent need of reflection.

The purpose of reasearch is to study the teenagers' attitude of supporting their to predict the changed pattern and the possible evolution of family relationship, provide schools and the society with meaningful information for education policy and to propose an appropriate life style for the eldery parents. As an investigative method, questionaies were used to 600 people including students in schools located in Suwon, Kyongki-Do. All the data were processed with the Satistical Analysis System (SAS). The results of this study can be summarized as follows : 1. Teenagers' living with their grandparents said that get much help from their grandparents 2. The teenagers' consciousness of supporting their parents when they grow old varied according to sex : i.e. male students said that children should bear the cost of supporting their old parents. 3. The more educated, the more accepting of their future life in the homes for the aged. 4. A low level of expectations for children's support in that many parents believed that the responsibility for support lies in the parents themselves.

The challenge to be faced in public transportation today is to satisfy human needs with the least delay, with the smallest number of accidents, and with the most economic use of energy, space, materials, man-power and money. One possible solution may lie in city train system, including AGT system. Specially, Passenger space in AGT is important to balance the budget of layout with passenger's satisfaction. This study focuses on lay-out and space, comfort which should be considered from the conceptual design stage of the interior layout work. Traditionally, the interior layout of the passenger room has emphasized ridequality and style. However, as the train becomes more prevalent and versatile, the focus also tends to shift toward layout and space to have comfortable circumstances. After all, the purpose of this research focused on arrangement a rational interior layout of the train through ergonomics research. Finally, the key was ensuring the comfortable environment based on cultural background of the passenger.

In this paper, a new method of Hangul recognition is proposed to solve the problems of misrecognition owing to the contacts of FCEs (Fundamental Character Elements) in a Hangul pattern. Structures of FCFs are represented with PAG(Programmed Array Grammar) to recognize an input pattern on 2-D. array of pels., and the unnecessary deformation of the conventional approach can be eliminated by using PEACE parsing which extracts primitives and computes attributes in the course of analyzing the structure of an input pattern. Also, primitive transformation at contacts can afford to confirm all the possible structures of an input pattern and solve the problem of misrecognition owing to the contacts of FCEs. The recognition rate of proposed method for printed Hangul characters shows 96.2% for 1978 Gothic-letters and 92.0% for 1920 Myng-style-letters, respectively.

The development technology is not brought out the change of life style but space. According to the development technology, it is comes to an age of Ubiquitous computing that make the possible intelligent space. Space in public library, too, is necessarily changed according to introduce Ubiquitous technology. This change of space give a benefits to user in public library. Therefore finding solutions for user-centered space in public library is the purpose of this study as making it intelligently and sufficiently.
