온라인상에서의 다차원적인 사용후기의 영향에 관한 연구 : 의류제품을 중심으로 (The Influence of Customer's Multidimensional Evaluation in Online Review :Focused on Apparel Products)

  • 많은 소비자들의 문제는 온라인을 통해서 구매하고자 하는 제품에 대해 명확한 지식을 획득하기 힘들다는 사실이다. 이에 소비자들은 온라인 사용후기를 통해 먼저 이용해 본 사람들의 의견을 청취하는 행동을 취하는데, 이것은 일종의 온라인 구전으로 일면식도 없는 이들의 구전에 많은 소비자들이 영향을 받고 있다고 말할 수 있다. 결국, 온라인 기업들은 개별 이용자들의 사용후기를 적절히 관리할 필요가 발생하였으며, 이러한 사용후기의 관리를 통해 차후의 이용자들에게 보다 나은 정보와 제품을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 그러나 사용후기는 그 내용의 방향성 및 객관성 여부에 따라 그 영향의 정도가 다르다고 예상해 볼 수 있으므로 이러한 성격을 충분히 고려한 다차원적인 온라인 사용후기의 영향에 대해 이해할 필요가 있다. 연구의 결과, 긍정적이고 객관적인 메시지의 경우 메시지에 대한 태도가 구매, 재방문, 구전의도 등에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 부정적이고 주관적인 메시지의 경우에는 메시지에 대한 태도가 제품태도를 거쳐 구매의도와 구전의도에 유의한 수준에서 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 메시지의 차원에 따라 제품에 대한 태도, 구매의도, 구전의도, 그리고 재방문의도가 다르게 나타나므로 단순한 사용후기 관리가 아니라 사용후기의 다차원적인 특정을 이해하는 것이 중요하다고 할 수 있다.

온라인 입소문이 병원선택에 미치는 영향의 카노속성에 따른 차이 (Differential effects of online word-of-mouth about attractive and one-dimensional Kano attributes on hospital selection)

  • Purposes: This purpose of this study was to check how much the online word of mouth influences on customer's hospital selection according to Kano's model. Methodology: Kano classified the attributes that affect customer's satisfaction into attractive, one-dimensional, indifferent, must-be, and reverse attributes. Among them, attractive and one-dimensional attributes make up the largest portion in hospital selection. Based on this, the influence of positive or negative online reviews on the selection of hospitals was investigated. Differentiated service was selected as the attractive attributes, and a kind, sufficient explanation was selected as the one-dimensional attributes. Then a questionnaire was conducted how much the positive or negative online reviews influence on hospital selection, respectively. It was conducted from August 7 to September 7, 2021 for medical consumers in their 20s and older who have used medical services for the past 3 years, and the final 142 questionnaires were analyzed. All data was analyzed by chi-square and two-way ANOVA using SPSS ver 25.0. Findings: The results showed that, in one-dimensional attributes, the difference between positive and negative reviews was not statistically significant, but in attractive attributes, positive and negative reviews showed a statistically significant difference. It suggests that positive reviews on attractive attributes had a greater influence on hospital selection. In terms of hospital selection, when the experimental participants were exposed to the positive reviews, the hospital selection ratio did not differ by Kano's attributes, but to the negative reviews it differed. The hospital selection ratio, even after they were exposed to negative reviews, was higher in the attractive attributes than in the one-dimensional attributes. Practical Implication: This study confirmed that hospital selection is influenced differently depending on the Kano's attributes and the direction of the reviews, and suggests that marketers should respond differently to each Kano's attributes when they deal with online reviews of hospitals.

상품후기 작성자에 대해 상품후기 독자가 느끼는 유사성이 상품후기 독자에게 미치는 영향 (Effects of Perceived Similarity between Consumers and Product Reviewers on Consumer Behaviors)

  • Prior to making choices among online products and services, consumers often search online product reviews written by other consumers. Online product reviews have great influences on consumer behavior because they are believed to be more reliable than information provided by sellers. However, ever-increasing lists of product reviews make it difficult for consumers to find the right information efficiently. A customized search mechanism is a method to provide personalized information which fits the user's requirements. This study examines effects of a customized search mechanism and perceived similarity between consumers and product reviewers on consumer behaviors. More specifically, we address the following research questions: (1) Can a customized search mechanism increase perceived similarity between product review authors and readers? (2) Are product reviews perceived as more credible when product reviews were written by the authors perceived similar to them? (3) Does credibility of product reviews have a positive impact on acceptance of product reviews? (4) Does acceptance of product reviews have an influence on purchase intention of the readers? To examine these research questions, a lab experiment with a between-subject factor (whether a customized search mechanism is provided or not) design was employed. In order to enhance mundane realism and increase generalizability of the findings, the experiment sites were built based on a real online store, cherrya.com (http://www.cherrya.com/). Sixty participants were drawn from a pool that consisted of undergraduate and graduate students in a large university. Participation was voluntary; all the participants received 5,000 won to encourage their motivation and involvement in the experiment tasks. In addition, 15 participants, who selected by a random draw, received 30,000 won to actually purchase the product that he or she decided to buy during the experiment. Of the 60 participants, 25 were male and 35 were female. In examining the homogeneity between the two groups, the results of t-tests revealed no significant difference in gender, age, academic years, online shopping experience, and Internet usage. To test our research model, we completed tests of the measurement models and the structural models using PLS Graph version 3.00. The analysis confirmed individual item reliability, internal consistency, and discriminant validity of measurements. The results show that participants feel more credible when product reviews were written by the authors perceived similar to them, credibility of product reviews have a positive impact on acceptance of product reviews, and acceptance of product reviews have an influence on purchase intention of the readers. However, a customized search mechanism did not increase perceived similarity between product review authors and readers. The results imply that there is an urgent need to develop a better customized search tool in order to increase perceived similarity between product review authors and readers.

온라인 플랫폼 경험: 호스피탈리티 고객 인게이지먼트 및 로열티 향상 방안 (Online Platform Experience: Enhancing Customer Engagement and Loyalty in the Hospitality Industry)

  • This study aims to develop a conceptual framework linking antecedents and consequences of online platform experience in the context of hospitality businesses. In doing so, an introduction to online platform experience in the hospitality industry was made, and environmental stimuli, that is, enablers of online platform experience were identified: information, entertainment and relation. Additionally, the theoretical review attempted to explain how customers are likely to be engaged in, and to be loyal to, the hospitality organizations' provisions in the context of online platforms. When presenting the theoretical model, a Stimulus-Organism-Response paradigm was employed to propose the hypotheses predicting positive online platform experience, which seems to derive from internally provoked cognition and affection within individuals, leading to behavioral consequences. This model is expected to be applicable to the online context, where hospitality businesses tend to adopt the concept of gamification and to implement associated loyalty programs. Finally, theoretical and practical implications, along with potential avenues of future research, were discussed.

Effect of Korean Michelin Guide Review Features on Customer Satisfaction Using LIWC

  • Purpose: This study aims to analysis the difference by Michelin rating in customer satisfaction of restaurant listed in the Korea Michelin Guide. There are opinions that the Michelin Guide's rating system and evaluation criteria are somewhat ambiguous. Research design, data, and methodology: This study collected 145 actual online reviews published on TripAdvisor to examine how the effect of the content attributes of reviews on consumer satisfaction varies according to the Michelin grade. Based on this, two studies were conducted. Study 1 examined the effect of strong and weak positive reviews on consumer satisfaction according to the rating. Study 2 examined the effect of image information on consumer satisfaction. Results: The results revealed that the lower the Michelin rating, the more positive review had a significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The higher the rating, the more image information had an effect on consumer satisfaction. Expectations for Michelin three-star restaurants are higher than those of two-star restaurants, so customers are more likely to be used negatively when writing reviews. Conclusions: Accurate information on Michelin selection criteria should be delivered so as not to form high expectations and not to disappoint. For consumers to be satisfied with the name Michelin, the standards should be stricter.

온라인 쇼핑몰에서의 리뷰 속성이 브랜드 태도, 구매결정 및 온라인 구전의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Review Attributes on Brand Attitude, Purchase Decision and e-WOM Intention in Online Shopping Mall)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 쇼핑몰에서 리뷰의 속성을 평점, 댓글의 양 및 이미지정보로 분류하여 브랜드 태도와 구매결정 및 온라인 구전의도에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. SPSS 23.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석, 회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 리뷰 속성이 브랜드 태도, 구매결정 및 온라인 구전의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었으나 댓글의 양은 구매결정에 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 브랜드 태도는 구매결정에, 온라인 구전의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었다. 더불어 평점, 이미지정보와 구매결정 간의 영향관계에서, 또한 리뷰 속성과 온라인 구전의도 간의 영향관계에서 브랜드 태도의 매개효과가 확인되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 소비자가 무조건 댓글의 양이 많은 것을 선호하지 않으며, 리뷰를 작성할 때 최대한 높은 평점과 포토후기에 초점을 맞출 수 있도록 해야 함을 시사한다.

긍정/부정 비대칭도를 이용한 소수상품평의 검색 (Retrieving Minority Product Reviews Using Positive/Negative Skewness)

  • 소수 의견을 포함하는 온라인 상품평은 긍정 또는 부정 일변도인 상품평에서는 찾기 어려운 유익한 정보를 내포하기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 주어진 상품평 집합 속에서 소수상품평을 검색하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안방법은 개별 상품평을 먼저 긍정/부정 상품평으로 자동분류한 뒤, 주어진 상품평 집합의 긍정/부정 상품평의 비대칭도를 계산하여 소수상품평을 검색한다. 소수상품평 검색에서는 긍정/부정 자동분류 성능이 소수상품평 검색성능에 영향을 주는데, 본 논문에서는 도메인에 특화된 감성사전과 그렇지 않은 일반적인 감성사전을 가지고 상품평을 긍정/부정으로 감성분류한 뒤 비대칭도를 계산하여 소수상품평 검색성능을 비교한다. 스마트폰과 영화를 다룬 온라인 영문 상품평에 대하여 도메인에 특화된 감성사전을 가지고 소수상품평 검색성능을 평가한 결과, F1점수는 각각 24.6%와 15.9%였고, 정확도는 각각 56.8%와 46.8%였다. 이는 스마트폰과 영화의 개별 상품평 긍정/부정 분류 정확도가 각각 85.3%와 78.8%일 때의 성능이다. 본 논문에서는 또 긍정/부정 자동분류 성능이 주어졌을 때의 이론적인 소수상품평 검색성능에 대해서도 논의한다.

온라인 리뷰 콘텐츠와 언어 스타일이 리뷰 유용성에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Online Review Content and Linguistic Style on Review Helpfulness)

  • 온라인 리뷰는 소비자의 구매 의사결정에 중요한 역할을 하기 때문에 소비자의 지각된 리뷰 유용성에 영향을 미치는 리뷰 요인을 확인하는 것이 필요하다. 그러나 온라인 리뷰의 유용성에 대한 대부분의 기존 연구는 주로 리뷰 및 리뷰어 속성과 같은 정량적 요인에 중점을 두고 있다. 최근 연구에서는 리뷰 콘텐츠과 언어 스타일이 소비자의 구매 의사결정에 미치는 영향을 조사했다. 또한, 소비자가 의사결정 과정에서 리뷰를 평가할 때 추가적으로 리뷰 텍스트 속성들을 고려해야 한다고 주장하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 온라인 리뷰 맥락에서 리뷰 콘텐츠과 언어 스타일이 리뷰 유용성에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 한다. 추가적으로 리뷰어의 전문성이 리뷰 콘텐츠 및 언어 스타일과 리뷰 유용성 간의 영향관계를 조절하는지 여부를 조사했다. 연구결과 긍정적인 리뷰 콘텐츠는 리뷰 유용성에 부정적인 영향을 미치고, 부정적인 리뷰 콘텐츠와 언어적 스타일은 리뷰 유용성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 리뷰어의 전문성은 부정적인 리뷰 콘텐츠와 언어 스타일이 리뷰 유용성에 미치는 영향을 완화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 온라인 전자상거래 기업이 리뷰 유용성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고 이를 마케팅 전략에 반영하여 기업 매출 성장을 달성하는데 시사점을 제공할 수 있다.

Analysis on Review Data of Restaurants in Google Maps through Text Mining: Focusing on Sentiment Analysis

  • The importance of online reviews is prevalent as more people access goods or places online and make decisions to visit or purchase. However, such reviews are generally provided by short sentences or mere star ratings; failing to provide a general overview of customer preferences and decision factors. This study explored and broke down restaurant reviews found on Google Maps. After collecting and analyzing 5,427 reviews, we vectorized the importance of words using the TF-IDF. We used a random forest machine learning algorithm to calculate the coefficient of positivity and negativity of words used in reviews. As the result, we were able to build a dictionary of words for positive and negative sentiment using each word's coefficient. We classified words into four major evaluation categories and derived insights into sentiment in each criterion. We believe the dictionary of review words and analyzing the major evaluation categories can help prospective restaurant visitors to read between the lines on restaurant reviews found on the Web.

쇼트 클립 플랫폼 틱톡(TikTok)에 나타난 보디 포지티브 무브먼트 콘텐츠의 주제 유형 및 표현기법 (A study on the thematic types, expression techniques, and impact of body positive movement content on the short clip platform TikTok)

  • This study examines the rise of the Body Positive Movement on TikTok and its role as a form of online content activism influencing the fashion design and industry. Through a combination of literature review and case study methodology, the study explores the expression techniques and thematic types of Body Positive Movement on TikTok. Reviews of literature, previous studies, online articles, fashion journals, and relevant search terms on TikTok informed a definition of Body Positive Movement and an analysis of its formation and rise. The research findings confirm the impact TikTok content on Body Positive Movement has on the fashion industry in addressing external factors (i.e., 'Appearance', 'Race', 'Aging', 'Physical Disability') and intrinsic factors (i.e., 'Acceptance of Diversity', 'Self-Esteem', 'Rejection of Stereotypes', 'Appropriate Representation', 'Information Provision'). The key external factor , 'Appearance', includes subcategories such as 'Body Shape', 'Body Hair', 'Skin', and 'Facial Features'. TikTok content creators on fashion creatively combine music, emojis, and visual storytelling to exhibit positive self-perception concerning these factors. A significant finding of the study is that short clips predominantly manifesting external factors differentiate into informative or enlightening videos associated with intrinsic factors. The study underscores Body Positive Movement's important influence on the fashion industry from design to presentation.
