상대속도를 고려한 포텐셜 필드 기반 군집 무인수상선의 대형 제어 (A Formation Control of Swarm Unmanned Surface Vehicles Using Potential Field Considering Relative Velocity)

  • With the advancement of autonomous navigation technology in maritime domain, there is an active research on swarming Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) that can fulfill missions with low cost and high efficiency. In this study, we propose a formation control algorithm that maintains a certain shape when multiple unmanned surface vehicles operate in a swarm. In the case of swarming, individual USVs need to be able to accurately follow the target state and avoid collisions with obstacles or other vessels in the swarm. In order to generate guidance commands for swarm formation control, the potential field method has been a major focus of swarm control research, but the method using the potential field only uses the position information of obstacles or other ships, so it cannot effectively respond to moving targets and obstacles. In situations such as the formation change of a swarm of ships, the formation control is performed in a dense environment, so the position and velocity information of the target and nearby obstacles must be considered to effectively change the formation. In order to overcome these limitations, this paper applies a method that considers relative velocity to the potential field-based guidance law to improve target following and collision avoidance performance. Considering the relative velocity of the moving target, the potential field for nearby obstacles is newly defined by utilizing the concept of Velocity Obstacle (VO), and the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method is verified through swarm control simulation, and swarm control experiments using a small scaled unmanned surface vehicle platform.

지반의 불균질성을 고려한 GPR 신호의 자동탐지모델 성능 비교 (Comparison of performance of automatic detection model of GPR signal considering the heterogeneous ground)

  • 도심지에는 많은 지중 매설관이 설치되어 있으며, 이러한 지중 관로의 위치(깊이, 방향 등)은 굴착을 수행하기 전에 특정되어야 한다. 지중 매설관을 탐지하기 위해 다양한 지구물리학적인 방법을 사용할 수 있으나, 지반의 불균질성으로 인해 정확한 위치정보를 파악하는 것은 어렵다. 다양한 비파괴 탐사 방법 중 GPR (ground penetrating radar)는 고속으로 실험이 가능하며, 다른 탐사 방법에 비해 상대적으로 저렴한 탐사비용 등의 장점을 갖는다. 그러나 GPR의 탐사 데이터는 해석이 직관적이지 않아 상당한 전문적 지식이 요구된다. 최근 딥러닝을 이용한 탐사 데이터의 자동판독 기술에 대한 연구가 증가하고 있으나, 매설물의 위치를 정확히 알고 있는 탐사 데이터가 부족하여 학습모델 구축에 어려움이 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 FDTD (finite difference time domain)수치해석을 통해 해결하고 자동탐지 학습 모델의 성능을 향상시키기 위한 기초연구를 수행하였다. 첫째, 단일유전율로 구성된 균질지반을 구성하고 해석을 수행하였다. 불균질 지반의 경우 프랙탈 기법을 이용하여 모델을 구성하고 해석을 수행하였다. 둘째, 합성곱 신경망을 이용하여 딥러닝 학습을 수행하였다. Model-A는 균질 지반 해석 데이터만 이용하여 학습을 수행하였으며, Model-B는 균질 및 불균질 지반 해석 데이터를 이용하여 학습을 수행하였다. 그 결과 Model-B가 Model-A보다 탐지성능이 우수한 것을 확인하였다. 이는 자동탐지 모델의 학습 시, 지반의 불균질성을 포함하여 학습을 수행하면 탐지 모델의 성능이 개선됨을 의미한다.

저급 센서를 고려한 GPS/INS 결합기법 연구 (A Study on GPS/INS Integration Considering Low-Grade Sensors)

  • This paper proposes an efficient integration method for GPS (Global Positioning System) and INS (Inertial Navigation System). To obtain accuracy and computational conveniency at the same time with low cost global positioning system receivers and micro mechanical inertial sensors, a new mechanization method and a new filter architecture are proposed. The proposed mechanization method simplifies velocity and attitude computation by eliminating the need to compute complex transport rate related to the locally-level frame which continuously changes due to unpredictable vehicle motions. The proposed filter architecture adopts two heterogeneous filters, i.e. position-domain Hatch filter and velocity-aided Kalman filter. Due to distict characteristics of the two filters and the distribution of computation into the two hetegrogeneous filters, it eliminates the cascaded filter problem of the conventional loosly-coupled integration method and mitigates the computational burden of the conventional tightly-coupled integration method. An experiment result with field-collected measurements verifies the feasibility of the proposed method.

웨이브렛 변환과 신경회로망을 이용한 SMD IC 패턴인식 (Pattern recognition of SMD IC using wavelet transform and neural network)

  • In this paper, a patern recognition method of surface mount device(SMD) IC using wavelet transform and neural network is proposed. We chose the feature parameter according to the characteristics of coefficient matrix which is obtained from four level discrete wavelet transform (DWT). These feature parameters are normalized and then used for the input vector of neural network which is capable of adapting the surroundings such as variation of illumination, arrangement of objects and translation. Experimental results show that when the same form of feature pattern, as is used for learning, is put into neural network and gained 100% rate ofrecognition irrespective of SMD IC kinds, location and variation of illumination. In the case of unused feature pattern for learning, the recognition rate is 85.9% under the similar surroundings, where as an average recognition rate is 96.87% for the case of reregulated value of illumination. Proosed method is relatively simple compared with the traditional space domain method in extracting the feature parameter and is also well suited for recognizing the pattern's class, position and existence. It can also shorten the processing tiem better than method extracting feature parameter with the use of discrete cosine transform(DCT) and adapt the surroundings such as variation of illumination, the arrangement and the translation of SMD IC.

원심펌프의 성능에 대한 더블 볼류트의 영향 (Effects of Double Volute on Performance of A Centrifugal Pump)

  • In this study, a parametric study of a centrifugal pump with double volute has been performed numerically using three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations. The shear stress transport model was selected as turbulence closure through turbulence model test. The finite volume method and unstructured grid system were used for the numerical analysis. The optimal grid system in the computational domain was determined through a grid dependency test. The expansion coefficient, circumferential and radial starting positions and length of divider were selected as the geometric parameters to be tested. And, the hydraulic efficiency and the radial thrust coefficient were considered as performance parameters. It was found that the radial thrust and hydrualic efficiency are more sensitive to the expansion angle and circumferential starting position of the divider than the other geometrical parameters.

Assessment of Tip Shape Effect on Rotor Aerodynamic Performance in Hover

  • In the present study, an unstructured mixed mesh flow solver was used to conduct a numerical prediction of the aerodynamic performance of the S-76 rotor in hover. For the present mixed mesh methodology, the near-body flow domain was modeled by using body-fitted prismatic/tetrahedral cells while Cartesian mesh cells were filled in the off-body region. A high-order accurate weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) scheme was employed to better resolve the flow characteristics in the off-body flow region. An overset mesh technique was adopted to transfer the flow variables between the two different mesh regions, and computations were carried out for three different blade configurations including swept-taper, rectangular, and swept-taper-anhedral tip shapes. The results of the simulation were compared against experimental data, and the computations were also made to investigate the effect of the blade tip Mach number. The detailed flow characteristics were also examined, including the tip-vortex trajectory, vortex core size, and first-passing tip vortex position that depended on the tip shape.

Direct Stator Flux Vector Control Strategy for IPMSM using a Full-order State Observer

  • A direct stator flux vector control scheme in discrete-time domain is proposed in this paper for the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drive to remove the proportional-integral (PI) controller from the direct torque control (DTC) scheme applied to IPMSM and to obtain faster dynamic response and lower torque ripple output. The output of speed outer loop is used as the desired torque angle instead of the desired torque in the proposed scheme. The desired stator flux vector in dq coordinate is calculated with a given amplitude. The state-space equations in discrete-time for IPMSM are established, the actual stator flux vector is estimated in deadbeat manner by a full-order state observer, and then the closed-loop control is achieved by the pole placement. The stator flux error vector is utilized to calculate the reference stator voltage vector. Extracting the angle position and amplitude from the estimated stator flux vector and estimating the output torque are eliminated for the direct feedback control of the stator flux vector. The proposed scheme is comparatively investigated with a PI-SVM DTC scheme by experiment results. Experimental results show the feasibility and advantages of the proposed control scheme.

Analysis of Starting Torque and Speed Characteristics for Squirrel Cage Induction Motor According to Material Properties of Rotor Slot

  • Squirrel cage induction motors have mostly been used for their small capacity because the starting torque is smaller than the starting current during start-up. However, as more and more mid-to-large capacity motors are developed, the demands for improvements in performance characteristics have also increased. In this study, the starting characteristics of squirrel cage induction motors were analyzed based on the rotor materials and shapes using a finite element method to provide design data suitable for different use purposes and capacities. We further completed analysis by combining electromagnetic equations deduced from Maxwell’s equations and the circuit equations of stators and rotors. A moving coordinator was introduced to rotate the rotor during the analysis, and the torques calculated via the finite element method were combined with the motion equations to calculate the position and angular velocity of the rotors at the next time, thereby analyzing the transient characteristics. The analysis results of the transient characteristics were applied to a 3-phase 4-pole 5-hp induction motor to calculate the starting torque, speed, and rotation angle of the rotors. In the reference model, the materials and shapes of the rotor slot were changed to copper and silicon copper and a deep slot, shallow slot, and long-neck-shaped slot.

  • The research to predict the resistance performance of the ship using the CFD analysis is increasing. For the CFD numerical analysis the computational mesh, which is proper to computational model, has to be made before the analysis is begun. In the parametric study, even though the deformation of each case is not very sharp, the whole computational mesh should be regenerated according to the conventional way. Hence, lots of effort is needed to repeated mesh generation work. To solve these problems, the automatic mesh generation method using the macro function of commercial CAD program and mesh generation program is introduced in this study. First, in the CAD program, by using the macro function and putting the deformation rate of bow and stern in lengthwise, the repeated modeling work is performed automatically. Next, the generated geometries are read by the mesh generation program and the proper mesh for the geometry is created automatically also using the macro function. The hybrid mesh which has unstructured grid near the bow and stern and structured grid in the remaining part of domain is used. The verification of the developed method is done by applying the method to predict the resistance performance of the podded propulsion cruise ship of the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in the cases of different length of bow and stern and pod set in different position. The author believes that the introduced method can help to make the database to optimize the resistance performance of the ship in various cases can be constructed without difficulty.

다상 유체 시스템의 다중 스케일 시뮬레이션 기법에 관한 연구 (Development of Multiscale Simulation Technique for Multiphase Fluid System)

  • 다상 유체 시스템에 적용할 수 있는 다중스케일 입자 시뮬레이션 기법을 개발하였다. 거시 모델과 미시모델이 만나는 경계영역에서 세가지로 구별되는 기능을 수행하도록 하였다. 먼저, 기상과 액상을 분리하여 연결하기 위해 벽을 설정하였다. 또 경계영역을 근처에서 경계의 위치를 측정하고 이것에 벽의 각도와 위치가 연동하여 접촉각 값을 미시모델에서 거시모델로 전달하게 하였다. 마지막으로, 입자의 삽입과 제거를 통해 경계영역의 질량과 온도를 거시적 조건에 맞추도록 하였다. 이 알고리즘들을 적용한 완전습윤과 부분습윤시스템들은 좋은 결합 결과를 보였다.
