The concurrent injection of cosolvent and air, a cosolvent-air (CA) flood was recently suggested for a dense nonaqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) remediation technology. The objectives of this study were to elucidate the DNAPL removal mechanisms of the CA flood and to quantify mass transfer rate coefficients during CA flooding. DNAPL removal mechanisms were examined by evaluating the effects of air flow rate and DNAPL solubility and visually documented at a pore-scale. Two serial processes, immiscible displacement and dissolution, were experimentally and visually documented during CA flooding. Mass transfer rate coefficients (K) were computed from the data showing PCE saturation versus time. Results showed that CA floods exhibited higher K values than cosolvent floods without concurrent air injection. 3-D shape soft magnetic composite parts can be formed by general compaction method of powder metallurgy. In this study, the results on the high density nanostructured Fe-Si/Fe composite prepared by a warm compaction method were presented. Ball-milled Fe-25 wt.%Si powder, pure Fe powder and Si-polymer were mixed and then the powder mixture was compacted at various temperatures and pressures. Pore free density of samples up to 95% theoretical value has been obtained. The warm compacted sample prepared at 650 MPa and 240$^{\circ}C$ had highest compaction properties in comparison with other compacts prepared at 300, 400 MPa and room temperature and 120$^{\circ}C$. The magnetic properties such as core loss, magnetization saturation and coercivity were measured by B-H curve analyzer and vibration sample magnetometer.
Infiltration of rainfall causes railway slopes to be unstable and may result in failure. Basic relationship between the rainfall and stability of railway embankment is defined to analyze its stability by rainfall. An experimental study for defining of infiltration rate of rainfall into slope is conducted in the lab. The results of Rainfall infiltration show that rainfall infiltration is not equal to infiltration as like reservoir because rate of rainfall infiltration is controlled by slope angle. Based on these results, boundary condition of rainfall is altered and various numerical analysis are performed. The variation of shear strength, the degree of saturation and pore-water pressure for railway slope during rainfall can be predicted and the safety factor of railway slope can be expressed as the function of rainfall amount, namely rainfall index. And suggested rainfall index is compared with the rail transport operation control which is used in KORAIL. It is judged that this rainfall index can be a good tool for the rail-transport operation control.

The effect of oil on convective boiling of R-123 in an enhanced tube bundle is experimentally investigated at $26.7^{\circ}C$ saturation temperature. The enhanced tube had pores (0.23 mm diameter) and connecting gaps (0.07 mm width), which had been optimized using pure R-123. The effects of oil concentration (0 to 5%), heat flux (10 to $40\;kW/m^2$), mass velocity (8 to $26\;kg/m2^s$) and vapor quality are investigated. The oil significantly reduces the bundle boiling heat transfer coefficient. With 1% oil, the reduction is approximately 35%. Further addition of oil further reduces the heat transfer coefficient. The data are also compared with the pool boiling counterpart. The reduction in the heat transfer coefficient is smaller in a bundle (convective boiling) than in a pool (single-tube pool boiling), with larger difference at a smaller heat flux. Similar to pure R-123 case, the effects of mass velocity and vapor quality are negligible for the convective boiling of R-123/oil mixture.
It is reported that the flooding rate in low permeability sandstones is low and the oil recovery is hard to increase after water breakthrough. Understanding characteristics of waterflood is hence important for the recovery improvement. In this work, flooding tests on low permeability sandstones were conducted. The corresponding flooding characteristics were investigated by means of CT scanning and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. Effects of irreducible water and different rates were also discussed in detail. Experimental results reveal a piston-like displacement at a low rate in low permeability samples. The saturation profile is steep and almost vertical to the forward direction. The results at a low rate confirm that once water broke through, increasing the flooding rate or flooding time can hardly reduce the remaining oil inside the sample. It is probably due to the high pore-throat ratio proven by rate-controlled mercury. Results also confirm that the presence of initial water enhanced sweep efficiency substantially. On one hand, because water had previously occupied the small pores, the subsequent oil can only invade relatively large pores and became more movable. On the other hand, stable collars can not form due to the steep front, which may suppress the snap-off.
Na,K-ET(A)S-10에서의 THT와 TBM의 흡착량과 흡착능은 Na,K-ET(A)S-10의 결정성이 좋을수록 증가하였다. Na,K-ET(A)S-10의 THT에 대한 파과 용량은 1.19 mmol/g 이었다.
