Gamete intrafollopian transfer, a varient of IVF, is becoming increasingly popular as a treatment modality for infertility in women with at least one healthy follopian tube. Although GIFT has recently been poprlarized as a safe and effective treatment in selected infertile couples, little discussion of potential complications has been published. Whereas a tubal pregnancy rate of approximately 5% has been noted for IVF, early reports of GIFT have noted ectopic pregnancy to be relativiely rare. We experienced a case of combined pregnancy following GIFT with microsurgery and now present it with brief review of related literatures.

Humans have used acceleration sensors to perceive behavior. Using the application principles of inertia sensor such as acceleration and gyro sensors, the sensor indirectly measures movement through forces applied on a three-dimensional axis. This may result in different results depending on the location of the sensor in possession, even in the same way. The sensor, which is also mounted on popular smartphones, measured different values of acceleration sensors, whether in hand or in pocket, which are commonly used by people.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are a popular research topic because of a great ripple effect in the future. However, current UAV technologies cannot be applied to manual aerial vehicles without any modification. As an alternative to current UAV technology, humanoid robots are adopted as pilots. If a humanoid robot controls an aerial vehicle autonomously, not only could manual aerial vehicles be utilized as UAVs, but the humanoid robot would also be put into an environment created for humans and conduct some missions suitable for humans. Humanoid robots are also able to handle tools and equipment designed for humans. In order to prove that a humanoid robot can pilot an airplane, an experiment is performed and the results of this experiment are shown in this paper.

Shear wall-frame system is one of the most, if not the most, popular system for resisting lateral loads. The core is the primary lateral load-resisting systems, the perimeter frame is designed for gravity loads, and the connection between perimeter frame and core is generally a shear connection. Specially, single plate shear connection have gained considerable popularity in recent years due to their ease of fabrication and erection. Single plate shear connection should be designed to satisfy the dual criteria of shear strength and rotational ductility. An experimental program was undertaken to evaluate seismic behavior of single plate shear connection. The main test variable is the reinforcing detail of connection. Through the experimental program, the cyclic behavior of typical and reinforcing single plate shear connection was established.

Titanium implant is used as the most popular dental material for replacement of missing teeth recently. A lot of studies on the surface modification of titanium implant have been carried out for enhancing osseointegration. The surface modification techniques could be classified as follows; topographic modifications which provide roughness and porosity, chemical surface modificationss or deposition of osseoconductive materials, and biochemical modifications to immobilize bone growth factors on titanium surface. In this study, the current and ongoing surface modification techniques and its typical characteristics used in clinics were reviewed. In the future, study and implication about biochemical modifications including patient' s individual characteristics will be important.

Peer conflicts between school-aged children were observed to examine differences in conflict resolution strategies according to children's sex, peer status, and friendship. One hundred and forty eight dyads in 4th grade were selected for the study. The dyads' interactions in a small room while playing a Domino game were videotaped. Strategies the children used to resolve peer conflicts were analyzed by frequencies, and ANOVAs. School-aged children used reasoning and insistences to the partners frequently to resolve conflicts. Conflict resolution strategies were different by children's status among peers. Popular children used reasoning and listening more frequently. Rejected children used standing firm, behaving aggressively, ignoring, and withdrawing more frequently, and explaining and listening less frequently. Rejected children, especially rejected boys, used aggressive strategies more frequently.

This study discusses the conceptual meanings of 'healthy families' by examining four popular misunderstandings regarding the concept. These misunderstandings are based partly on the lack of consensus on the use of the concepts of 'health' and 'families' and partly on the intentional misreading of the 'Healthy Fanulies Act' To correspond to the Concerns related to the Act, we need to clarify various meanings of the concept of family and to confirm the theoretical pounds of 'healthy families' based on the multidisciplinary consensus. To build consensus, it might be necessary to review some of the articles of the Act that have been misinterpreted.

The pushover analysis is becoming a popular tool for seismic design of building structures. In this paper the state-of-art on static nonlinear analysis of building structures is presented with the emphasis on the effects of analysis parameters; i. e., lateral load patterns, modeling of members, and analysis computer programs. The analysed results may have variation even if a same structure is analysed. This paper is to investigate how large the variation is and what the main causes of the variation are. The difference of analysed results, the resultant variation of lateral story shear force and flexural strength of structural members are discussed. The pushover analysis procedure are routinely used in the seismic design of building structures, but some problems must yet be clarified, such as the effects to evaluate the parameters of analysis on the basis of a lateral load patterns and modeling of members.
