리 릿나워와 래리 칼튼은 같은 세대를 풍미한 기타리스트이다. 그런 만큼 둘의 공통점을 찾아볼 수 있다. 또한 많은 경험과 노하우로 본인들의 음악을 퓨전 재즈라는 장르로 완성 시켰다. 퓨전이라는 장르의 특성을 살려 늘 새로운 시도를 해왔고, 시대적 상황에 맞춰 음악적 융합을 만들어 내는 컨템포러리 재즈(Contemporary Jazz)의 선두주자 임을 알 수 있다. 재즈라는 장르로 예술성과 상업성을 이룬 이 두 기타리스트의 업적은 매우 의미가 있다. 같은 장르, 같은 파트의 뮤지션이 이 같은 성공을 이룰 수 있었다는 것은 본인들의 음악적 표현 방식이 많은 사람들에게 공감을 주었다는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이 두 기타리스트의 작품에서 나타나는 화성적인 부분과 편곡적인 부분을 분석하고, 이들의 대표적인 앨범이 가지고 있는 의미와 음악적 방향들을 살펴보았다. 그리고 이 두 기타리스트의 관계를 통해 어떠한 음악적 성장이 있었는지 중점을 두고 분석 했다.

시주파수 표현법은 시간과 주파수의 2차원 평면에 대하여 신호의 크기 혹은 에너지 밀도의 분포를 표현하는 방법이다. 이러한 기술은 시변 신호(Time-varying signal)의 특성 분석에 유용하다. 연주음은 대표적인 시변신호이며 특성 분석을 위하여 시주파수 표현법을 사용할 수 있다. 최근 악기에 사운더를 부착하여 음질을 변화시키는 작업이 주목 받고 있다. 비교적 저렴한 비용을 지불하고 음질을 변화시켜 주관적인 평가를 개선하려는 시도로 시행되고 있다. 이러한 연주신호는 시간영역에서는 사운더가 없는 악기 원형으로 연주한 경우와 차이점을 찾기가 어렵지만 주파수 영역, 그리고 시간-주파수 영역에서 분석하면 차이점을 쉽게 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 사운더를 부착한 악기의 연주신호를 주파수 영역에서 분석하여 사운더의 효과를 확인하고 더 나아가 시주파수 표현법을 활용하여 사운더의 영향을 분석한다. 악기에 따라 사운더의 효과는 다르지만 대체로 인간의 주관적인 평가에 영향을 주는 중간주파수대에서 강화된 효과를 확인할 수 있다.

캄보디아의 대중음악은 크메르 루즈 정권 기간 동안 예술가의 90 %가 사망 한 이래로 완전히 잊혀졌다. 1979 년부터 전쟁에서 회복 한 후 1990 년 음악은 다시 성장하기 시작했다. 그러나 캄보디아 대중 음악의 역 동성과 흐름은 다면적 사회 경제적, 정치적, 창조적 세력에 의해 관찰 되고 있지만, 표절과 불법 복제로 수년간 대중음악산업에서 널리 퍼져 많은 문제가 되어왔다. 최근에는 크메르(캄보디아언어) 전통 음악을 팬과 아티스트 모두에게 보존해야 할 필요성에 대한 의식이 높아져 캄보디아 젊은 인구의 새로운 트렌드가 되었으나, 음악 품질은 여전히 한계상태에 봉착해 있고, 전통 대중 음악의 전문성을 높이기 위해서는 대중의 드백과 영감이 필요하다. 이 연구는 캄보디아에서 가장 많은 대중음악 관련 사이트인 페이스 북 페이지의 게시물과 코멘트에서 수집 된 문장들을 감정분석을 사용하여 음악 순위 차트(웹 사이트)를 구현하였다. 크메르어에서 영어로 번역하고 감정 분석을 수행하고 순위를 생성하는 알고리즘 개발하였다. 그 결과로 제안 된 시스템에서 번역 및 감정분석의 정확도가 80 %임을 보여주었다. 순위에서 높이 평가된 노래는 크메르(캄보디아언어)로 된 전통대중음악으로 이 논문의 취지와 부합이 되었다. 캄보디아 전통대중음악을 다시 부활하기 위해서 제안 된 시스템과 순위 알고리즘을 사용하여 음악제작의 경쟁 우위를 높이고 제작자가 특정 활동 및 이벤트에 맞는 새 노래를 작곡하는 데 도움이 될것으로 사료된다.

실용이란 용어는 배운 그것 자체를 실제 사용 할 수 있는 실제로 사용한다는 뜻이다. 그런데 그와는 다르게 일부교수들의 특정한 전공 분야에 맞춰 교육과정이 운영되는 것을 여러 학교를 통해 볼 수 있다. 재즈가 그 대표적인 사례로 대중음악 현장에서 연주할 수 있는 공간이 턱없이 부족한, 일부 메니아만을 위한 장르가 실용음악을 대표하는 학문으로 포장되어 있다. 이러한 현상은 입시 학원에 까지 영향을 미쳐 대학 입시를 준비하는 중, 고등학생들도 재즈를 배우고 연주하며 입시를 준비하고 있다. 물론 재즈도 음악의 한 분야이긴 하지만 절대로 대중음악의 주류가 될 수 없음을 볼 때 이는 매우 안타까운 현실이다. 실용음악과가 4년제 대학에 개설 된지도 20여년의 세월이 흘렀다. 그동안 배출된 졸업생 숫자도 매우 많을 것으로 판단된다. 대학의 역할이 취업과 연관되는 요즘, 과연 그 졸업생들의 취업은 어떻게 되고 있는지, 음악관련 분야에 종사하고 있는지도 살펴볼 시기가 되었다. 그리고 학과의 교육과정은 취업과 연결 될 수 있도록 현실에 맞게 합리적으로 운영되고 있는지도 중요할 것이다. 실용학문은 시장의 변화에 즉각적인 대응을 해야 한다. 교육과정의 개설과 운영등도 이에 맞춰 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 대학에서의 보컬 교육과정과 실제 운영 사례, 그리고 취업으로 연결 될 수 있는 합리적인 보컬 교육과정에 대해 논해 보도록 하겠다.

추천 시스템은 인터넷의 발달로 급격하게 증가하는 정보의 양으로 인해 생긴 정보 선택의 어려움을 소비자에게 덜어주고 각 개인의 취향에 맞는 정보를 효율적으로 보여주는 중요한 역할을 한다. 특히, E-commerce와 OTT 기업은 상품과 콘텐츠 양이 급격하게 증가하면서 추천 시스템의 도움 없이는 인기 있는 상품만 소비되는 현상을 극복하지 못한다. 이러한 현상을 극복하고 고객 개인 취향에 맞는 정보 혹은 콘텐츠를 제공해 고객의 소비를 유도하기 위해 추천 시스템의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 일반적으로 유저(user)의 과거 행동 이력을 활용한 협업 필터링이 유저가 선호한 콘텐츠의 정보를 활용하는 콘텐츠 기반 필터링에 비해 높은 성능을 보여준다. 하지만 협업 필터링은 과거 행동 데이터가 부족한 유저에 대해서는 추천의 성능이 낮아지는 콜드 스타트(Cold Start) 문제를 겪게 된다. 본 논문에서는 카카오 아레나 경진대회에서 주어진 음악 스트리밍 서비스 멜론의 플레이리스트 데이터를 기반으로 앞에서 언급한 콜드 스타트 문제를 해결할 수 있는 하이브리드 음악 추천 시스템을 제시했다. 본 연구에서는 플레이리스트에 수록된 곡 목록과 각 음악과 플레이리스트의 메타데이터를 활용해 절반 혹은 전부 가려진 플레이리스트의 다른 수록 곡을 예측하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 이를 위해 플레이리스트 안에 곡이 있는 경우와 아예 곡이 없는 경우를 나눠서 추천을 진행하였다. 플레이리스트 안에 곡이 있는 경우에는 해당 플레이리스트의 곡 목록과 각 곡의 메타데이터를 활용하기 위해 LightFM을 활용하였다. 그 다음에 Item2Vec을 활용해 플레이리스트에 있는 수록 곡과 태그 및 제목의 임베딩 벡터를 생성하고 이를 추천에 활용하였다. 최종적으로 LightFM과 Item2Vec 모델의 앙상블을 통해 최종 추천 결과를 생성하였다. 플레이리스트 안에 곡이 없고 태그 혹은 제목만이 존재할 경우에는 플레이리스트의 메타데이터인 태그와 제목을 FastText를 활용해 사전 학습을 시켜 생성된 플레이리스트 벡터를 기반으로 플레이리스트 간의 유사도를 활용하여 추천을 진행하였다. 이렇게 추천한 결과, 기존 Matrix Factorization(MF)에서 해결하지 못한 콜드 스타트 문제를 해결할 수 있었을 뿐만 아니라 곡과 플레이리스트의 메타데이터를 활용해 기존 MF 모델인 ALS와 BPR 그리고 Word2Vec 기반으로 추천해 주는 Item2Vec 기술보다 높은 추천 성능을 낼 수 있었다. 또한, LightFM을 토대로 다양한 곡의 메타데이터를 실험한 결과, 여러 메타데이터 중에서 아티스트 정보를 단독으로 활용한 LightFM 모델이 다른 메타데이터를 활용한 LightFM 모델들과 비교해 가장 높은 성능을 보여준다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Contemporary people can form a broad social sympathy on cultural products based on the present Korean image. K-pop is good material to use to share korean culture, and fans who are enthusiastic here are increasingly demanding cultural products. The visual materials of Bangtan Boys are collected from their album covers, and a concept book, and divided into specific and symbolic images. Based on this motif, three specific images: 'bulletproof vest', 'army house + superhero extract image', and 'Wings symbol', six designs were proposed. In addition, six motifs from the music videos for recent popular songs, 'Spring Day', 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' and 'Burning Up' were selected as symbolic images. Each selected image is divided into a normal line and a special line. The former is a relatively small, stable, and popular style, and the latter is a large, original, and bold style. By drawing and transforming extracted images and motifs using Adobe Illustrator CS6 and Adobe Photoshop CS6 program, a full-width umbrella design was developed. The messages that the Bangtan Boys wants to convey through their music are put into cultural products that contemporaries can sympathize with. By developing umbrellas, a variety of items and design goods can become desirable points of consumption as high-value products by domestic and foreign fandom. If designs that incorporate various elements of future K-pop contents as well as other Korean Wave contents are developed, it will be possible to develop original design products that will form global understanding.

방탄소년단(BTS)은 전 세계 주류 음악 시장에서 한국의 대중음악을 선도하는 그룹으로 자리매김하고 있으며, BTS가 선보이는 다채로운 패션 스타일은 해외 매체나 대중들의 쇼셜 네트워크에 집중 조명될 정도로 큰 관심을 받고 있다. 본 연구는 BTS의 패션 스타일의 분석을 토대로 그들의 패션 경향을 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 및 범위는 BTS 및 BTS의 패션이 미치는 영향력에 관련된 이론적 연구와 함께 최근 5년간 방탄소년단의 이미지 자료를 토대로 한 내용 분석 연구를 병행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직선적인 실루엣이 강조된 슈트, 무채색의 활용, 간소화된 장식을 통하여 클래식하면서도 모던한 스타일을 추구하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 둥근 어깨선이 강조된 봄버 재킷, 톤 다운된 스키니 진, 후드 티셔츠, 레터링 패턴, 비비드한 색상을 매치하여 자유분방하고 편안한 감성의 캐주얼 스타일을 선호하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 슬리브리스의 베스킷볼 셔츠, 라운드 네크라인의 베이스볼 셔츠와 반바지, 트레이닝팬츠, 레터링 패턴이 강조된 오버핏 맨투맨을 활용하여 역동적이고 활동적인 스포티한 스타일을 추구하는 것으로 나타났다.

Black street style has made unique fashion in popular music such as Jazz, Soul, Rhythm Il Blues. Reggae, and Rap, and it is counterculture and subculture against white. Furthermore, the black street style has played a starring role in the development of white culture as well as black culture, which emerged in direct opposition to the dominant cultures practised by a fraction of fellow countrymen within the black diaspora. The objectives of this study are to examine the social chronology of the black street style and the contemporary fashion, and the influences of the black street style on white culture. The seeds of black's style were sown in the late forties, developing throughout the fifties with the arrival of black immigrants from the west Indies and its examples were zooties, hip cats 8l hipsters, modernists. Rude boy & two-tone was anti·fashion style in sixties and then rastafarians continued in seventies costume is used to convey an essential symbolic class and ethnic message. The latest black's street fashion is hip-hop dress, which is pluralistic and electric, and funk is also erratic. During its ten-year reign as an international style, it has undergone numerous shifts because it is decline of racism B-boy & flygirls toraggamuffins & bhangra style to acid Jazz. These have played a crucial part in influencing the gigh fashion and avant-grade fashion designers' work. Today's street fashion has characteristics of postmodern culture without a racism in global village. Moreover, pop music stars take an effect on the street style continuously. With the opening of a new century, the study of the street style will overcast popular fashion and suggest the direction of fashion design.

Among the styles of performing arts, perhaps the genre that has attracted the largest audience would be musical. Popularity of musical has brought diverse changes in our performing arts market, and, upon emerging another musical genre, called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy,' it has been well-received by the audiences. 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' is a word that are formed by merging two other terms such as 'Korean Traditional Music' and 'Musical (Comedy).' In the meantime, however, it has yet some problems in order to be defined as the genre that has concrete concepts. It is because the term such as Korean Traditional Musical Comedy was created being closely associated with a marketing purpose rather than a term that defines the characteristics of a genre of performing arts. Although this new musical genre has drawn attentions of many audiences by adding 'Musical Comedy' to 'Korean Traditional Music' that was not quite popular to the public, it still does not have any established forms so that there is a fine line between "Korean Traditional Musical Comedy" and another genre like traditional style folk opera ("Changgeuk"). Looking at the characteristics of the musical work called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy, in general, first of all, it is a performance where music and drama are played. Here, the distinctive characteristic of this musical is that 'Korean Traditional Music' is sung. And the kinds of Korean traditional musics being sung are mainly Pansori (dramatic story-singing) and folk-songs, and, in most cases, Korean traditional musical instruments are being used as accompanying music. In this paper, the researcher investigated the aspects of experiment centering around Korean Musical Group, Taroo. These days, various experiments has been repeated not only for the works of Taroo but other musical work presently called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' also. Having encompassed overall performance factors including use of musical instruments, dance, acting, materials for drama as well as music in drama, the researcher has gone through experiments repeatedly. Meanwhile, however, the subject matters that make 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' mostly attractive to the audiences are music and songs or sounds. ["Sori" also called "Chang" (唱)] Particularly, under the current situation of our musicals, the role of "Sori" is extremely important. The factor that plays absolutely most important role in acceptance and transformation of "Sori" is the created Pansori. Since the created Pansori is composed with new rhythmic patterns and new narrative poems, it tells the present story. Also it draws good responses from the audiences owing to easy conveyance of dialogues. And, its new style brings diversification to organization of musical instruments, so then this leads to the arrangements of music for Korean traditional music instruments, as well as instrumental music ensemble, orchestra, and jazz band, etc. Likewise, upon appearing creative musics in 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy,' professional music and vocal compositions have begun to emerge naturally. And, the song specialist and writer, of course, staffs including direction, lighting, and sounds, etc are required. That is, professional composition method are forced to be introduced to all areas. Other than this, there are many music pieces which are based on our unique songs and sounds ("Sori") and such traditional factors as use of lead singer for ceremony or chorus, and the method that puts weight on Pansori. Accordingly many things accomplished. However, it is required that 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' go through numerous discussions and more experiments. Above all, the most important things are the role of actor and actress, and their changes, and training of actor and actress further. Good news is there are good audience responses. 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' is an open genre. As musicals are divided into several domains according to the characteristics thereof, 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' will be able to show its distinctive features in various styles according to embodiment.

1900년대 항구도시인 뉴올리언즈에는 다양한 민족과 인종들이 뒤섞여 대혼란을 이루고 있는 시기였다. 아프리카에서 끌려온 흑인노예들이 불렀던 노동요, 영가, 블루스와 영국 민요, 프랑스의 민속음악과 발레음악, 스페인의 춤곡, 군악대의 행진곡 등이 크레올의 래그타임(Rag Time)등과 뒤섞여 문화적인 다양성을 가지게 되었고 이러한 상황이 초기의 재즈로 발전하는 계기가 되었다. 20세기 역사상 가장 대중적이고 대중들의 사랑을 많이 받았던 스윙 재즈, 즉 비밥은 빅 밴드의 편곡 위주로 연주되던 스윙 재즈와는 달리 소규모 악기편성을 선호하였고 '즉흥연주'가 전면으로 나서게 된 재즈의 변형된 형태로 발전하게 되었다. 비밥의 빠르고 복잡한 코드진행에 반기를 들고 새로운 스타일을 개척한 쿨 재즈를 비롯해 20년 전의 비밥보다 훨씬 더 강도 높게 재즈의 전통으로 부터 근본적인 단절을 꾀한 양식으로 받아들여진 프리 재즈가 탄생하게 된다. 재즈의 역사의 중심에 있었던 마일스 데이비스가 재즈에 록(Rock) 비트를 도입하면서 시작된 퓨전 재즈 등으로 발전되었다. 이렇게 시대별로 각기 다른 이름으로 발전해온 재즈의 매력은 '즉흥연주'에 있다고 볼 수 있다. 시대별로 코드 진행과 스케일, 리듬 등에 약간의 스타일적인 변화가 있었지만 결국 21세기를 살고 있는 지금의 연주자들도 재즈의 연주에서 제일 중요하게 생각하는 것은 다름 아닌 '즉흥연주'이다. 같은 시대에 살면서 음악활동을 했던 유명 연주자들도 그 시대의 전체적인 분위기를 따라 가면서 각기 다른 자신만의 연주 스타일을 가지고 있었다. 그렇기 때문에 똑같은 곡을 연주해도 헤드는 비슷하게 연주 하지만 솔로 부분에서는 각기 다른 자기만의 즉흥연주 스타일을 표현하게 되는 것이다.
