간헐포기 소화 슬러지의 고분자 응집제에 의한 개량과 입도 분포 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Conditioning with Polymer and the Particle Size Distribution of Intermittent Aerobic Digestion Sludge)

  • Synthetic organic polyelectrolytes can be used to condition sludges to enhance their dewaterability. Intermittent aerobic digestion is an useful digestion technology and has many advantages like neutral pH, low installation cost and easiness to operation. The objectives of this study were to investigate the dewaterability of intemittent aerobic digestion sludge and to find the relationship between dewaterability and particle size distribution change under the conditioning of intermittent aerobic digestion sludge by cationic polyelectrolyte. Digested sludge from intermittent aerobic digestion was used and cationic polyacrylamide polymer was added as a conditioner. CST(capillary suction time), TTF(time-to-filtration) were tested as a dewaterability index and the number of particle distribution was analyzed using particle size analyzer. The results indicate that cationic polyelectrolytes is useful to enhance dewaterability of intermittent aerobic digestion sludge. Mean particle diameter was increased as polymer dosage increased and its value was reached up to 100 mm on the condition of optimal cationic polymer dosage. CST and TTF are well correlated with mean particle diameter when the weighting order is 1.7. By the optimal conditioning with cationic polymer, particles in the filtrate are also reduced significantly and this means that conditioning is helpful to main stream by reducing SS loading from return flow.

PAC를 이용한 인제거 공정에서 음이온계 고분자 첨가가 입도 분포에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Anionic Polymer on Particle Size Distribution in PAC Coagulation Process for Phosphorus Removal)

  • Achieving very low phosphorus levels in treated wastewater will require the installation of additional treatment. Phosphorus removal experiments by chemical coagulation were carried out for the effluent of wastewater treatment plant in this study. TP (total phosphorus) or phosphate were highly related to the addition of PAC (poly aluminium chloride) which is one of the inorganic coagulants. But, organic polymer did not significantly affect the phosphorus removal efficiency. Polymer affected the flocculation of particle especially particle matter less than 10 micrometer so, the number of micro particles was decreased by polymer dose. Chlorination would not affect on chemical coagulation process and TP and turbidity could be effectively removed by the co-addition of PAC and polymer.

안료 잉크용 바인더의 입자 크기가 직물의 태에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Particle Sizes of Polymer Binders for Pigment Inks on Touch of Fabrics)

  • This study investigated effect of particle sizes of polymer binders for digital textile printing(DTP) pigment inks on touch of fabrics. The polymer binders were synthesized via miniemulsion polymerization of methyl methacrylate(MMA), butyl acrylate(BA), N-ethylolacrylamide(NEA) and methacrylic acid(MAA). The prepared binders were applied to black pigment inks and those black pigment inks were used to dye cotton fabrics. Then, color strength, rubbing fastness, stiffness, surface and bending properties of the dyed fabrics were investigated. Depending on the particle size of the polymer binder used, color strength, friction fastness, stiffness, surface and bending properties change. Generally, the larger the particle size of the polymer binder, the softer properties.

분별침전에서 친수성 고분자 물질을 이용한 (+)-dihydromyricetin의 입자크기 감소 (Decreasing Particle Size of (+)-Dihydromyricetin Using Hydrophilic Polymer in Fractional Precipitation)

  • 본 연구에서는 생리활성물질 (+)-dihydromyricetin의 입자크기 감소를 위하여 친수성 고분자 물질을 첨가하여 분별침전을 수행하였다. 고분자 물질(HPMC 2910, PVP K90, PVA)이 첨가된 분별침전을 통해 (+)-dihydromyricetin 입자크기를 감소시킬 수 있었다. 특히 분별침전 시 HPMC 2910 (0.1%, w/v)을 첨가할 경우, 대조군에 비하여 입자크기가 $38-68{\mu}m$ (32-40%) 정도 감소하여 입자크기 감소에 가장 효과적이었다. 또한 (+)-dihydromyricetin침전물의 입자크기는 친수성 고분자 물질 첨가에 따른 침전용액의 제타전위 절대값에 반비례함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 역상 현탁중합법을 이용하여 폴리(아크릴산 포타슘-co-아크릴아마이드) 고흡수성 수지를 입자형태로 제조하였다. 제조된 고분자의 평균 입자 지름은 50~300 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위 내에서 계면활성제의 양이 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 중량측정법을 이용하여 흡수 및 증발 과정에서의 동적, 평형 팽윤 특성을 살펴보았다. 수용액 내에서의 흡수에 따른 입자의 팽윤도는 가교밀도뿐만 아니라 입자의 크기, 외부수용액의 염 농도, 공중합체 조성 등에 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 입자 크기, 첨가된 가교제의 농도, 그리고 외부의 이온농도가 감소함에 따라 흡수되는 물의 양이 증가하였다. 수분증발거동은 흡수거동과는 달리 입자의 크기나 공중합체의 조성, 가교제 양 등에 많은 영향을 받지 않았다.

  • 원료의약품의 활용도를 향상시키기 위하여 입자 크기의 감소는 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 식물세포 유래 항암물질 파클리탁셀의 입자크기 감소를 위하여 친수성 고분자물질을 첨가하여 분별침전을 수행하였다. 고분자물질이 첨가된 분별침전을 통해 입자크기를 감소시킬 수 있었다. 특히 고분자물질 HPMC 2910을 이용한 분별침전의 경우 침전물 성장을 가장 효과적으로 저해함을 알 수 있었다. 고분자물질 HPMC 2910농도 0.2%에서 가장 작은 입자크기의 침전물을 얻을 수 있었는데, 대조군 대비 ~35% 정도로 입자크기를 감소시킬 수 있었다. 또한 파클리탁셀 침전물의 입자크기는 친수성 고분자물질 첨가에 따른 침전용액의 제타전위 절대값에 반비례함을 알 수 있었다.

스티렌/노말 부틸 메타크릴레이트와 알루미나의 분산 공중합에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dispersion Copolymerization of Styrene/n-Butylmethacrylate and Alumina)

  • 분산중합법에 의해 고분자 미립자를 합성하기 위해 스티렌과 n-butylmethacrylate가 알루미나와 함께 중합되었다. 스티렌과 n-butylmethacrylate의 비는 3 : 1이었고, 입자안정제는 poly (N-vinyl pyrrolidon), 중합 개시제로는 2,2'-azobis(isobutyronitrile)를 커플링제는 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane을, 분산매로 이소프로판올과 이온교환수를 70 : 30의 비로 사용하였다. TEM 사진을 통해 알루미나가 고분자 미립자에 분산되어 있음을 확인하였고 알루미나의 농도가 증가함에 따라 평균 입자경이 증가하였으며 입자경 분포는 감소되는 경향을 보였다. XRD 측정에 의해 알루미나의 농도 증가는 피크 강도와 2$\theta$값의 증가를 보였으며 TGA 측정으로 알루미나의 농도의 증가는 고분자 미립자의 내열성을 증가시킴을 알 수 있었다. 사용한 개시제의 반감기가 길수록 입자경은 감소하였고 입자인정제의 농도가 증가할수록 반응초기의 핵생성이 증가하여 입자경이 또한 감소함을 알 수 있었다.

Effect of Reaction Conditions on the Preparation of Nano-sized Ni Powders inside a Nonionic Polymer

  • Monodispersed and nano-sized Ni powders were synthesized from aqueous nickel sulfate hexahydrate $(NiSO_4{\cdot}6H_2O)$ inside nonionic polymer network by using wet chemical reduction process. The sucrose was used as a nonionic polymer network source. The effect of reaction conditions such as the amount of sucrose and a various reaction temperature, nickel sulfate hexahydrate molarity. The influence of a nonionic polymer network on the particle size of the prepared Ni powders was characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and particle size analysis (PSA). The results showed that the obtained Ni powders were strong by dependent of the reaction conditions. In particular, the Ni powders prepared inside a nonionic polymer network had smooth spherical shape and narrow particle size distribution.

간헐포기 소화슬러지의 개량과 탈수 특성에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Conditioning and Dewaterability of Digested Sludge from Intermittent Aerobic Digestion)

  • Synthetic organic polyelectrolytes can be used to condition sludges to enhance their dewaterability. When conditioning biological sludges, the charge on the polymer has a significant impact on the effectiveness of the polymer as a conditioner. The objectives of this investigation were to determine the most effective type and dosage of polymer for conditioning digested sludge prior to dewatering, and to investigate the relationship between dewaterability and particle size. 3 types of digested sludge were used under the different digestion processes like anaerobic digestion, aerobic digestion and intermittent aerobic digestion. CST(capillary suction time), TTF(time-to-filter) and SRF(specific resistance to filtration) were tested as a dewaterability index and the number of particle distribution was analyzed using particle size analyzer. The results indicate that cationic polymer appears to be required for effective conditioning of these 3 types digested sludge and the optimal polymer dosage is about 0.6% of SS. CST and TTF are well correlated with mean particle diameter of which the dimension order is 1.7.

입자의 크기에 따른 흑연 보강 전도성 고분자 복합재료의 특성 연구 (Effect of particle size on graphite reinforced conductive polymer composites)

  • Graphite reinforced conductive polymer composites were fabricated by the compression molding technique. Graphite powder was mixed with an phenol resin to impart electrical property in composites. The ratio and particle size of graphite powder were varied to investigate electrical conductivity of cured composites. In this study, graphite reinforced conductive polymer composites with high filler loadings(>66wt.%) were manufactured to accomplish high electrical conductivity. With increasing the loading ratio of graphite powder, the electrical conductivity and flexural strength increased. However. above 80wt.% filler loadings, flexural strength decreased due to lack of resin. Regardless of graphite particle size, electrical conductivity wasn’t varied. On the other hand, with decreasing particle size, flexural strength increased due to high specific surface area.
