  • These days cities are in the stage of inter-competition and emboss the placeness which they have. The marketing is emphasized for urban regeneration in backward cities and the dominant position in the urban competition. This study focuses on the place marketing with potential factors which the places have. In addition, this study intends to research the marketing through showing centers and the method to commercialize the places with the factors to success, Planning-Group, Place Identity and Place Image, and Public-private Partnerships, in the case of the Dongdaemun Market. Finally, the study intends to show politic significance for preferable objects of place marketing for the network of the fashion-cluster, differentiation of the rapid productivity, the foreign information centers, the dongdaemun sewing association, and the merchant association as the consequence of comparable analysis.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze trade environment and examine a commercial practices for a successful launching of Indian market In general, Indian trade environment is composed of a natural environment, religious peculiarity, history and politic and economic prospect. In order to understand Indian commercial practices and secure business achievements, its national character, mode of living, customs related to foods and social relations such as exchange of gifts, religious taboos, tendency of product preference should be recognized. The results of the study indicate mostly that even though an excellent brand image, a good quality and an efficient sales network are a basic factor for making of a successful business, practically it is more important to understand a business customs and national character of indian people. Because business is accomplished through relationship between human beings eventually.

  • After the Kyoto Protocol has been ratitied in Feb. 16 2005, the developed countries which is involved in Annex-1 have tried to mitigate GHG to the reduction objective. To accomplish this objective, EU developed EU-ETS, CDM project, and so on. Korea has faced pressure to be a member of Annex-1, because Korea and Mexico are only non-Annex-1 countries in the OECD nations. This study is intended to examine unfolding transition on negotiations of Conference of Parties(COP), the Kyoto Mechanism referred as a cost-effective tool to meet a targeted level of greenhouse gas decrease, and trends in responses of developed countries to the Kyoto Protocol, and finally suggests legal and politic counterplans responding to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(hereafter, UNFCCC).

  • A objective of this study is to examine a commercial practices and analyze a trade environment for a successful launch of Indonesian market.   • The defence industry of the Republic of Korea(ROK) has grown up since 1970, however it is facing a growth hindrance due to its structural problem. Many professionals of defense industry has developed some measures to upgrade and energize the defence industry of ROK, and also the current government is implementing various transformations and new policies under the initiative of cooperative independence defence. But most of papers published so far have some limitations resulting from their qualitative contents. And also it is true for them not to show policy alternatives devised by the system thinking. This paper identifies essential factors of defense industry, then analyze the causal relation among those factors. It also shows the causal loop to identify the politic leverages, on which concrete measures to resolve the structural problems are based.

Re-examining on Ascending the Throne of King Thibaw and Its Effects

  • This paper is attempted to clarify the controversial event King Thibaw ascending the throne. Moreover it was presented with the purpose of how important "Trust Building" is in politic. After ascending the throne, King Thibaw faced external threat as well as internal weakness. The Hluttaw ministers and counselors did not support effectively and King Thibaw lost trust his ministers and counselors. Therefore mass killing of royal prince took place after the ascending the throne and it made discredit to King Thibaw. Senior minister like Kinwun Mingyi and Hsinphyumashin secretly contact with Prince Nyaung Yan whom was staying under the protection of British. On the other hand Prince Myingun took refuge under protection of the French and was trying to seize the power with the supporters from lower Myanmar as well as taking the financial help from Hsinphyu Mashin. They were external strength for the British and French. In this way King Thibaw's administration became deteriorated and finally the British anxious about Franco-Myanmar treaty so they exaggerated the Bombay-Burma Teak company's problem. In this way King Thibaw was taken away by the British due to the internal weakness and external strength.

해양환경영향평가 관련 협의에 의한 연안이용분석 (Analysis of Coastal Area Utilization by Consultation of Marine Environmental Impact Assessment Related-Systems)

  • This study presented politic proposals and diverse utilization-type in coastal areas by analyzing results of reviewed related-statements of marine environment during the one year period of 2007 by Marine Environmental Impact Assessment Center. Total of 358 cases were reviewed, which was a significant increase from 270 in 2006. Consultation on the utilization of sea areas (CUSA) accounted for the largest number of 165 (46.1%) and it was followed by 104 cases of environmental impact assessment (EIA) (29.0%) and 89 cases of prior environmental review (PER) (24.9%). As such, evaluation statements (EIA+PER) related to consultations of the Ministry of Environment accounted for approximately 54% of the entire cases reviewed. To analyze the overall results of reviewing marine-related evaluation statements, utilization and planning were conducted by 47.9%, 38.4% and 13.7% in the South Sea, West Sea and East Sea of Korea, respectively. In evaluation statements (EIA+PER), port construction, industrial complex construction, urban management plan and road construction took up most of the part by 40.9%, 20.2%, 10.4% and 7.3%, respectively. In terms of CUSA-statement, it was evaluated that consultations were mostly carried out on use and reclamation of public water surface in coastal areas and on sea aggregate extraction process in EEZ. The largest number of plans for coastal use were established for Jeollanam-do, followed by Gyeongsangnam-do, Chungcheongnam-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeonggi-do. In particular, development plans were concentrated on Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do with stable marine environment and outstanding view of the nature. In most cases, these regions are adjacent to the areas designated as a sea area for environmental management and fisheries resources protection zone. Therefore, conflicts exist between development and preservation. Also, rather than random development, more detailed marine environmental impact assessment, gathering of public opinions and politic harmony are essentially required. For efficient coastal management and environmentally sound and sustainable development, fulfilling consistent and transparent coastal policies as well as active and reliable decision making to center on coastal environment by management bodies will be important.

  • 본격적인 지방화시대를 맞이하여 현재 경기북부 가구산업은 지역의 몇몇 가구산업단지 를 중심으로 영세적으로 이루어지고 있으나, 보다 경쟁력 있는 산업으로 육성하기 위하여 이를 가구산업의 전체적인 관점에서 조명하여야 한다. 이러한 차원에서 경기도에서 경기북부지역에 폭넓게 기반을 두고 있는 가구산업을 방관하기보다는 먼저 구조적 측면이나 제도적인 측면에서 경기북부지역을 중심으로 한 가구산업 현황을 분석한 결과를 통하여 경기북부에 연계된 다양한 산업과의 클러스터 화를 추진하며 적극적인 지원, 체계적인 정책마련 등을 통하여 문제를 해결하며 국제적으로 경쟁력 있는 산업으로서 총체적으로 개발육성 방안이 필요하다고 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구는 경기북부 지역에 각 가구업체의 네트워크를 총괄할 수 있는 전담 기구로서 가구산업센타와 세계화에 맞추어 국제적으로 경쟁할 수 있는 첨단가구산업단지 신설 그리고 기술적 차원에서 협업을 이룰 수 있는 가구관련 공동브랜드사업을 제시하였다. 또한 이러한 제시들이 활성화되기 위하여 경기도는 물론이거니와 산업의 주체라 할 수 있는 가구업체와 지역 대학의 관련학과 전문가들의 네트워크가 절실하게 필요하다.

  • 오늘날 스마트융합이 급속도로 진척되면서 소프트웨어(software : SW)의 시장이 크게 성장하고 있다. 그러나 세계시장에서 우리나라의 SW가 차지하는 비중은 2.2%에 불과하다. 특히 패키지SW는 글로벌 기업의 그것에 비해 매우 취약한 실정이며, 임베디드SW에 비해서도 그 비중이 낮은 수준에 머물러 있다. 이는 국산 패키지SW의 취약한 경쟁력에 기인하지만, 정부의 정책적 지원도 상대적으로 미약한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 국산 패키지SW산업 실태를 자료 및 사례연구를 통해 파악하고 패키지SW 지원정책의 개선 과제를 도출한 다음, 이를 토대로 국산 패키지SW산업의 육성에 관한 정책 대안을 제언하고자 한다.

대중국 소자본 농업투자 진출 방안에 관한 연구 (Strategies for Korean Agribusiness Investment in China)

  • Korea and China have a similar agricultural background and they have an analogical culture and custom of food. In addition, they are located close. Thus, their agricultural sectors easily have effected each other. The purpose of this study is to review the history and situation of Chinese agribusiness, to analyze the status of Chinese investing policy which is varied after China joining in WTO, and to suggest the ways that Korean companies can successfully invest in the Chinese agribusiness sector. In addition, we explore the cases that foreign companies in Hongkong invest in the Chinese agribusiness sector. Korean companies must have a special knowledge about Chinese laws and custom of business. They also have to make a good partners who help their business. Second, before Korean companies investing in the Chinese agribusiness sector, they must carefully choice investing items. These items have to satisfy several conditions, accessing to international market as well as Chinese market and that politic assistance of Chines government is rendered. Third, when Korean companies invest in the Chinese agribusiness sector, the scale of invest would better not be large. In addition, Korean companies have to make a joint-venture company in China and build vertical integration.
