This paper focuses on the numerical prediction of airflow-induced sound in DVD drives. As a first step, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is conducted to evaluate flow field characteristics due to the high-speed disk rotation, and to support the acoustic analysis. Acoustic analogy based on Ffowcs Wi1liams-Hawkings (FW-H) equation is adopted to predict aeroacoustic noise patterns. The integral solution for quadrupole volume source is included to identify the turbulence noise generated inside the DVD tray. The strength of sound pressure revel with respect to rotating speed is discussed to meet upfront demand on the high fidelity product development. The present study also focuses on the noise directivity and examines how much the sound noise is sensitive to change in rotating speed. Near-field noise is strongly affected by the flow field characteristic, which is caused by the complex shape of the tray. For a mid-field, the quadrupole noise play as a counterpart of thickness noise or loading noise, so it generates different sound noise Patterns compared with those in the near field.

There is no doubt that agents play an increasingly predominant role in e-commerce, whether these are business-to-consumer or business-to-business applications. However most of the current e-commerce agents only support a single bid for a product at a fixed price. Although price is an important factor, it is not the only concern of both business and consumer. There is doubt as to whether such agents satisfv both parties. Negotiation on a variety of issues is needed in order to reach an agreement. In this paper, a computational agent negotiation(CAN) model is proposed to facilitate multiple-issue negotiation via an agent. The main contribution of the CAN model is it enables agent to participate actively in the negotiation with various feedback instead of simply an agreement or rejection.

This study was conducted to find some differences in infant feeding pattems between well educated Koreans and local populations living in Texas, USA. Initiation rate of exclusive breastfeeding in the hospital was 35.9% in Koreans and 60.4% in Americans. At 2, 4 and 6 months, exclusive breastfeeding rates were 34.0%, 20.8% and 13.2% for Koreans and 47.2%, 34.0% and 27.2% for Americans respectively. There was a significant difference in age of weaning from breast between these two groups(p<0.01). In Koreans the most common reason for the early termination before 4 months was maternal report of milk insufficiency. 55.6% of Koreans and 42.3% of Americans fed infants on scheduled rather on demand feeding. Primary sources of advice about feeding were medical professionals in Americans while baby's grandmother was the main source in Koreans. In Americans, choice of breastfeeding was not associated with ethnicity, maternal education, and family income in the study. Interventions to promote and support participants of Women Infants and Children(WIC) may play a role in Americans. It might be suggested that effective nutrition education programs targeting for Korean mothers to promote breastfeeding should be needed urgently and systematically.

Phosphorylation is a major post-translational modification of proteins that regulate diverse signal transduction pathways in eukaryotic cells. 14-3-3 proteins are regulatory proteins that bind to target proteins in a phosphorylation-dependent manner and have been shown to play an important role in plant growth and development, primary metabolism, and signal transduction. Because phosphorylation plays a critical role in signal transduction pathways to trigger plant immunity, involvement of 14-3-3 proteins in plant immunity has been suggested for a long time. Recent studies have provided new evidence to support a role for 14-3-3 proteins in plant immunity. This review will briefly discuss general characteristics of 14-3-3 proteins and their involvement in plant immunity.

본 논문에서는 한국어 기본 유니트 단위로 WPM을 활용한 구글 플레이 스토어 앱의 댓글 감정분석을 수행하였다. 먼저 자동 띄어쓰기 시스템을 적용한 후, 어절단위, 형태소 분석기, WPM을 각각 적용하여 모델을 생성하고, 로지스틱 회귀(Logistic Regression), 소프트맥스 회귀(Softmax Regression), 서포트 벡터머신(Support Vector Machine, SVM)등의 알고리즘을 이용하여 댓글 감정(긍정과 부정)을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 어절단위, 형태소 분석기보다 WPM이 최대 25%의 향상된 결과를 얻었다. 또한 분류 과정에서 로지스틱회귀, 소프트맥스 회귀보다는 SVM 성능이 우수했으며, SVM의 기본 파라미터({'kernel':('linear'), 'c':[4]})보다 최적의 파라미터를 적용({'kernel': ('linear','rbf', 'sigmoid', 'poly'), 'C':[0.01, 0.1, 1.4.5]} 하였을 때, 최대 91%의 성능이 나타났다.

This study is an attempt to encourage the establishment of Friends groups in Korean public libraries and to provide library staff and local people some details on how friends groups were being developed in public libraries in other countries. friends groups can be established by those who are library volunteers and are willing to support their library. Public library personnel and particularly the Korean Library Association play an important role in initiating and operating Friends groups in Korean public libraries.

At recent, the Internet is evolving into the directions which is capable of incorporating stream-type services such as voice and video services due to the remarkable growth of WWW service and the development of new multimedia application services. However, the existing Internet can only support a best-effort delivery model and thus it is difficult to satisfy these requirements as well as to provide the QoS beyond a certain degree. Accordingly, it is imperative to develop QoS-based routing algorithm in order to allow flexible routing by the Internet user's QoS demand and to be applied into wide area networks. In this paper, we presented new routing algorithms for next generation Internet services and made performance evaluations. The proposed algorithms allow the routing by the user's QoS demand level in order to provide the diverse Internet application services based on ATM network environment that is expected to play a role as an infrastructure of next Generation Internet Services.

A newly devised linear flexure bearing (KIMM-LFB) for reciprocating machines is disclosed having improved tight gas clearance maintaining capability for better system performance. KIMM-LFB is an integrated device comprising an axially moving diaphragm with circumferentially arranged arc-shaped flexure blades secured between rim and hub spacers, which turn out to have higher radial stiffness than the one with circumferential tangent cantilever flexure blades. It is expected for KIMM-LFB to play a key role in designing long life, special purpose reciprocating machines such as spacecraft borne cryogenic refrigerators (cryocoolers) by providing frictionless, non-wearing, linear movement and radial support for the machines as well as a gas clearance seal by maintaining extremely tight clearances between piston and cylinder.

The purpose of this study was to determine the behavioral interaction between glutamatergic and serotonergic receptors. In the present study, both the competitive (AP-5 and D-CPP) and the noncompetitive (MK-801, ketamine, dextrorphan and dextromethorphan) N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonists markedly enhanced 5-HT(5-hydroxytryptamine)-induced selective serotonergic behavior, head-twitch response (HTR), in mice. These results suggest that the glutamatergic neurotransmission may modulate serotonergic function at the 5-HT receptor. The precise relationship between glutamatergic and serotonergic system is as yet undefined. However, these are the first data available regarding glutamatergic modulation of serotonergic function at the 5-HT receptor in intact mice, and the present results support the notion that the NMDA receptors may play important roles in the glutamatergic modulation of serotonergic function at the 5-HT receptor.

This paper discusses the potential of system dynamics modelling to support balanced scorecard. The balanced scorecard is a conceptual framework for translating an organisation's strategy into a set of performance indicators. These performance indicators are distributed across the 'classic'model's four perspective: Customers, Internal Business Processes, Financial, and Learning and Growth. This balanced scorecard, whilst having significant strength, suffers from the limitation of all performance indicator systems, namely that the interrelationships between indicators are overlooked and there is no way of taking into account the impact of delayed feedback which flows from introduction of new policy and legislative changes. System Dynamics is a methodology for understanding complex problems where there is dynamic behaviour and where feedback impacts significantly on system outcomes. System dynamics provides a rigorous basis for qualitative testing of the effects of performance indicators in complex environments such as health or social security. This can be supplemented with quantitative system dynamics simulation tools that further test the validity of indicators and the business rules implicit in them. System dynamics modelling has an important role to play in extending feedback cycle in performance measurements to a full systems approach.
