  • PTT[poly(trimethylene terephthalate)] fiber was annealed by passing on the plate heater to illuminate the effects of annealing on the mechanical properties and dyeability with varying the treatment temperature for 0.5 second. The apparent crystal sizes and crystallinity were increased with increases in temperature. With the increases of the temperature, the dynamic viscoelastic behaviors were analyzed to be reduction in $T_{max} (tan{\delta})$. The initial modulus were observed to be a small enhanced. The shrinkage in hot water were reduced. The dyeability for disperse dye enhanced dramatically, for example, a satisfactory degree of exhaustion was obtained by dyeing at $95^\circ{C}$ for 30 min with the PTT fibers heat treated at $180^\circ{C}$.

  • PTT[Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)] fibers was annealed by passing on the plate heater to illuminate the effects of annealing on the alkaline hydrolysis behavior properties with varying the treatment temperature for 0.5 second. The L010 and crystallinity were increased with increases in temperature. With the increases of the temperature, the dynamic viscoelastic behaviors were analyzed to be reduction in $T_{max}(tan\;\delta)$. The weight loss in alkaline solution was two times more rapid for the PTT annealed at $200^\circ{C}$ than the control samples. The kinetics of hydrolysis was confirmed that the hydrolysis of the PTT fibers in the alkaline solution was started from the surface of the fibers and selective to the amorphous region in continuation, on the basis of the results of the increase in crystallinity and the decrease in dye uptake at the initial stage of the hydrolysis.

  • Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT) fibers were treated by passing on the plate heater to study the annealing effect on the change of morphological structure and physical properties. In the X-ray diffraction curves of PTT annealed, a sharp peak at 2$\theta$=15.6$^{\circ}$ appeared and the peak intensity became stronger with the increase of annealing temperature and time. This peak was based on the (010) plane of PTT crystals. The crystallinity determined by density measurement was also increased by annealing. With the increases of temperature and time, the dynamic viscoelastic behaviors were shown to be a large reduction in T(tan $\delta$$_{max}$). The birefringence and $T_g$ were also reduced, but the melting temperature was the same. These results mean that the molecular chains in armorphous region are transfered into the crystalline legion, making the remained chains relaxed during annealing at tensionless state.

  • In this paper, we fabricated the micro hotplate which consisted of a thin film heater(Pt/Cr bilayers) sandwiched with the thermal oxide and E-beam evaporated oxide. And we studied the electrical and the structural properties of Pt/Cr bilayers due to annealing temperature. When we compared the temperature measured from type k thermocouples with the temperature acquired from I.R. thermo-vision system according to the variations of emissivity, the emissivity of I-beam evaporated oxide was 0.5. The sheet resistance of Pt/Cr bilayers didn't depend on the Cr layer thickness, and it was considered as the existence of CrO between the Pt and the Cr layer. When the annealing temperature was increased from $500^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$, the out-diffusions of Cr were increased(which was confirmed by AES depth profile) and the grain size of Pt(220) phase was enlarged also(analyzed by XRD and SEM photographs). From the results of XRD analysis and AES depth profile, the Pt/Cr bilayers annealed at $500^{\circ}C$ were more stable than any other cases in structural properties.
