This study analyzes the cool-down process of liquid hydrogen storage tanks, which have advantages in terms of large-capacity transfer, storage, and utilization as hydrogen demand increases. A hydrogen liquefaction plant is selected for analysis and an efficient tank cooling method is sought by comparing the time required for the cool-down process with the gas consumption in connection with the gassing-up process required for the operation of the liquid hydrogen storage tank. The results of this study can be referred to in the operation process after the initial start-up and maintenance of the hydrogen liquefaction plant.

To evaluate the risk of leakage when using liquid hydrogen, a leakage test was conducted using liquid nitrogen in an outdoor environment rather than a laboratory environment. To assume a real-scale continuous leak, liquid nitrogen was allowed to leak for 5 minutes through a pipe with a diameter of 25.4 mm at a design spill rate of 60 L/min. The measurement system consisted of devices for climate conditions, LN2 spread and vapor clouds. The main experimental results are the liquid pool radius and the concentration of vapor cloud, and the radius of the liquid pool was compared with the numerical analysis results.

The investigation of cryogenic liquid pool spreading is an essential procedure to assess the hazard of cryogenic liquid usage. In this experimental study, to measure the evaporation velocity when the pool is spreading, liquid nitrogen was continuously released onto unconfined concrete ground. Almost all of the reported results are based on a non-spreading pool in which cryogenic liquid is instantaneously poured onto bounded ground for a very short period of time. A simultaneous measurement of the pool location using thermocouples and of the pool mass using a digital balance was carried out to measure the evaporation velocity and the pool radius. A greater release flow rate was found to result in a greater average evaporation velocity, and the evaporation velocity decreased with the spreading time and the pool radius.

To investigate plant protection, pathogenesis-related (PR) proteins and plant defense enzymes related to cell wall lignification were studied in pepper plants inoculated with antagonistic Bacillus subtilis HJ927 and pathogenic strain Phytophthora capsici. Phytophthora blight disease was reduced by $53\%$ in pepper roots when preinoculated with B. subtilis HJ927 against P. capsici. The activities of PR proteins (chitinase and ${\beta}$-1,3,-glucanase) and defense-related enzymes (peroxidase, polyphenoloxidase, and phenylalanine ammonia lyase) decreased in roots of B. subtilis+P capsid-treated plants, but increased in leaves with time. The decrease and increase were much greater in P. capsici-treated plants than in B. subtilis HJ927+P capsici-treated plants, although P. capsici-treated plants had more severe damage. Therefore, changes of enzyme activities do not seem to be directly related to plant protection. We suggest that the change of these enzymes in pathogen-treated plants may be related to plant response rather than to resistance against pathogen attacks.

This study reviewed the current data presented in the literature on developing meat analogs using plant-, insect-, and protein-derived materials and presents a conclusion on future perspectives. As a result of this study, it was found that the current products developed using plant-, insect-, and mycoprotein-derived materials still did not provide the quality of traditional meat products. Plant-derived meat analogs have been shown to use soybean-derived materials and beta-glucan or gluten, while insect-derived materials have been studied by mixing them with plant-derived materials. It is reported that the development of meat analogs using mycoprotein is somewhat insufficient compared to other materials, and safety issues should also be considered. Growth in the meat analog market, which includes products made using plant-, insect-, and mycoprotein-derived materials is reliant upon further research being conducted, as well as increased efforts for it to coexist alongside the traditional livestock industry. Additionally, it will become necessary to clearly define legal standards for meat analogs, such as their classification, characteristics, and product-labeling methods.

The present study discussed the thermodynamic analysis of the hydrogen liquefaction process to build a hydrogen liquefaction pilot plant with a small capacity (0.5 ton/day). A 2-stage Brayton cycle utilizing LNG/LN2 cold energy was suggested to be built in Korea for the hydrogen liquefaction pilot plant with a small capacity. Thermodynamic analysis on the effect of various variables on the efficiency of hydrogen liquefaction process was performed. As a result, the CASE in which the ortho-para conversion catalyst was infiltrated inside the heat exchanger showed the best process efficiency. Finally, thermodynamic analysis was performed on the effect of turbo expander compression ratio on the hydrogen liquefaction process and it was confirmed that an optimal turbo expander compression ratio exists.

As the development of construction technology and new materials, building requirements has been varied gadually. Comfortable environment and serviceability of production activity and energy conservation are being dealt with very seriously. Recently localization of engineering technology of Power Plant, however, construction materials and domestic technology are being developed forcingly. According to above topics this thes is going to study roof waterproofing, thermal insulation and evaluate adiabatic performance and evaluation of properties of waterproofing materials and energy conservation. The results of studying and evaluating of roof waterproofing, thermal insulation and adiabatic performance of Power Plant are as follows. 1. Sheet waterproofing method is better than that of asphalt waterproofing method in that adaptability of wearhertight, thermal resistant, contraction and expansion. 2. It is required to replace polyurethane or ethylene used as thermal insulation with rock wool which is noncombustible materials. 3. It is recommended to usd outer insulation method than inner insulation method due to superioty of outer insulation method. Efficiency of insulation materials used in power plant is generally good except perlite mortar used in the power plant(YGN 1-2, GRI 1-2).

Flow distribution of fuel nozzles for a combustor in a micro gas turbine is numerically investigated. The fuel supply system for the present study has 12 single nozzles with a diameter of several hundred micrometers. A uniform temperature distribution of a combustor outlet should be achieved for maximizing the lives of the turbine blades and nozzle guide vanes. For this, it is very important to uniformly supply fuel to a combustor. In order to investigate flow distributions of fuel nozzles, numerical models for fuel nozzles are made and solved by a commercial code, ANSYS FLUENT. An effect of a fuel nozzle diameter and fuel flow rates on flow distribution of fuel nozzles is numerically investigated. As a result, non-uniformity is increasing as a diameter of a single fuel nozzle increases. Finally, an appropriate diameter of a single fuel nozzle is suggested.
