The present study has been undertaken to detect edible medicinal plants with antineoplastic property on the basic of a number of traditional Korean medical literatures, besides studies on development of anti-cancer medical wild plants growing in Korea and to prove experimentally their efficacy by in vitro and in vivo tests.235 species from 45 family 79 genus were screened primarily as edible sources of antitumor effect. Among those the crude. extracts of 40 spp. showed considerable cytotoxicity in vitro and especially Pegangkuen(Patrinia scabiosaefolia), Deod-eog(Codonopsis lanceolata), Okssusu(Zea may), and Geureong(Eragrositis ferru-ginea) exhibited significant antitumor activity against sarcoma 180 asites mice. However, additional researches should be mode for the confirmation of their availability as antitumor plants.

The purpose of this study is to explore sorts and roles of Afro-American music genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, and swing which were shown in post-structural Afro-American literary works: Toni Morrison's novel Jazz, Alice Walker's novel The Color Purple, and August Wilson's play The Piano Lesson. It has been phenomenal for several important Afro-American writers to create their works in which they invite traditional Afro-American music genres. This has made significant effects to depict a wide range of episodes in their works, which are historically and culturally associated with such music genres. This paper analyzes varied ways in which the writers combine these two artistic fields, which are all Afro-American, and express their authenticity and identity as being blackness.

Inharmonicity가 피아노의 음색에 미치는 영향을 가능한 한 객관적으로 평가하기 위해 본 연구 에서는 inharmonicity는 다르면서 음색에 영향을 미치는 다른 모든 요소들은 같게 합성된 여러 샘플들을 이용해 청취평가를 시행하는 방법을 사용한다. 합성된 피아노 음의 부분음들이 가지는 시간 영역 엔벌로프는 실제 녹음된 피아노 음에서 추출되었으며 인위적으로 조절되는 inharmonicity 의 크기 역시 실제 녹음된 피아노 음에서 얻은 데이터에 근거하였다. 청취평가는 피아노의 음색을 표현한다고 생각되는 적절한 형용사들의 쌍으로 만들어진 질문들로 이루어졌으며 평가를 반복해가며 보다 객관성을 높이기 위한 방법들을 시도하였다. 이러한 과정에서 얻은 결과들을 통해 그 동안 막연히 이해되어오던 inharmonicity와 음색의 관계를 보다 세밀하고 객관적으로 분석할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 Google사의 Project glass를 이용한 피아노 연습 어플리케이션을 제안한다. 하지만 아직 이 기기는 발매되지 않았기 때문에 안드로이드 모바일에서 제작중이다. 사용자악보를 database로 간단하게 관리하고, OpenCV라이브러리를 통해 실제 피아노의 위치와 건반을 인식하고, 손가락의 위치 파악과 소리 인식을 통하여 서로 인식한 정보의 일치여부를 확인한다. 그리고 증강현실 기술을 이용하여 게임적인 요소를 추가시켜서 보다 쉽고, 재미있게 실제 피아노 연습을 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 피아노 연주 연습하는 방식에서 IT기술을 접목시켜서, 교육과 기술발전에 기여할 수 있음을 보인다. 그리고 앞으로 영상처리 기술이 널리 사용될 것으로 예상되어 미리 기술을 학습하는 효과도 있다.

수치제어(Numerical control)의 개념은 1800년대부터 시작되었다. 프랑스의 Joseph Jacquard는 1801년에 구멍을 낸 카드(Perforated cards)를 이용하여 베틀기계에 직물의 모양을 Design하는데 자동적으로 Control 하는 방법을 창조해냈다. 그 후 구멍을 낸 카드를 이용하여 페달을 밟아 얻어진 공기를 Air motor와 Valve 를 조정하므로서 자동적으로 Piano를 연주하게 하는 방법도 역시 수치제어다. 이 NC의 개념이 실제 공작기계 에 적용된 것은 제2차 대전후의 일이다. 미공군(US Air force)에서는 복잡한 형상의 항공기부품가공과 그것을 검사할 검사용 Gauge를 고정밀도로 효율있게 제작할 필요성이 절실해졌다. 미국 Michigan주 Traverse시에 있던 Parsons회사도 Helicopter의 Rotor blade의 윤곽을 정확하게 검사하는 Plate gauge를 가공할 수 있는 기계를 개발하고 있었으며 그 회사의 사장 John T. Parsons씨는 Jig boringmachine을 전자적으로 제어하는 Plate gauge를 가공하는 방법을 미공군에 제안을 하였다. 1948년 미공군에서는 설계번경이 수없이 일어나는 Missile 의 부품을 단시간 내로 제작하기 위해서 Persons사와 기술계약을 맺고 새로운 공작기계 개발에 착수하므로서 NC공작기계 연구를 시작한 역사적인 시발점이 되었다.

이 논문에서는 피아노 건반을 연주하거나 악보 위의 음을 누르는 방식의 새로운 멜로디 패스워드 인증기법을 제안한다. 등록단계에서 사용자는 피아노 건반을 치거나, 악보 위를 터치하는 방법을 통해 사용자의 멜로디를 생성하여 이를 암호로 설정한다. 인증단계에서는 등록한 멜로디를 다시 생성하면 암호가 해제된다. 이 기법은 암호공간의 확대를 통하여 안전성을 강화하고, 피아노를 연주하는 재미를 유발하여 인증방법의 친화성을 향상시킬 수 있다.

Finger reconstruction involves paramount significance of both functional and aesthetic aspects, due to its great impact on quality of life. The options range from primary closure, skin grafts, local flaps, pedicled flaps, and free flaps. The optimal method should consider various circumstances of the patient and surgeon. We would like to report a case of a young woman who initially presented with cellulitis and necrosis of the left second finger-tip who underwent reconstruction with bilateral toe pulp free flap. The patient could successfully return to her job that involves keyboard typing and playing the piano, with acceptable donor site morbidity.

This study aimed at examining the music world of the composer Muczynski, who played an important and meaningful role in the various experimental trends of music which began to appear in the early $20^{th}$ century, and his works, thereby understanding his relationship with the development of music of various genres today. In the study, his pieces of piano music among his works, which formed the basis for his music, were analyzed. The study examined stylistic characteristics, that is techniques of various types including form, melody, harmony, tonality, rhythm and structure, and introduced the composer's growth in terms of music and philosophical background. Muczynski, the composer who showed the characteristics of neoclassicism, neoromanticism and neobaroque in contrast to the various forms of the $20^{th}$ music, namely music of free styles including atonal music, twelve-tone technique, avant-garde music and electronic music, used traditional forms. However, the characteristics of his works are very free. In addition, in the 1960s, he participated in the production of documentary movie music, creating very creative and sensational music. Muczynski's music has the features of tonality and shows neoclassic and neoromantic features including economical idea, lyrical melody, bitonality and nine-note scale. His music, therefore, is being evaluated as very creative and valuable and is largely significant in that it has provided a good basis for the development of modern movie music and jazz music today.

22,000 Ton hydraulic press was developed using wire winding method. The hydraulic press consists of three piece of frame type. The outer layers of yoke-column frame and main cylinder linear were wound with piano wire(1mm${\times}$4mm) under controlled tension and the total length of wound wire was about 450Km. The developed hydraulic press is used for the forming of heat plate with ultra-large size. To obtain large force with relative small apparatus, high pressure of $1,500 Kgf/cm^2$ was supplied to main cylinder through pressure amplification by booster pump. Therefore sealing technique of main cylinder is so crucial that the seals were made of mitre ring type with super-elastic metal. The press total weight is about 150 tons, which is quite light and compact relative to that of conventional hydraulic press.

The purpose of this study is to examine the musical preference of autistic children. Based on the written responses of the questionnaire from mothers, therapists and teachers of 60 autistic children the music preference of the autistic children were analyzed. The results showed that the autistic children prefer music listening rather than playing or singing. The keyboard and piano are the most preferred instruments by these children. In music genre they prefer children's song and commercial music. Though they all have language disorder, they have a strong tendency toward music with text. It was also found that there is a relationship between music preference and behavior. The hyperactive and oppositional children have a tendency to enjoy more stimulative music compared to other autistic children.
