Estrogens are critical to the functioning and maintenance of a diverse array of tissues and physiological systems in mammals. The actions of estrogen on such classical targets as the reproductive tract, gonads, mamary tissue, and hypothalamic/pituitary axis have been well characterized. A role in nonreproductive tissues, such as maintenance of bone mineral density and cardiovascular health in woman, as has been described. There were ne significant differences in the average of body weights, testis weights, among the experimental groups. The lumen of rate testis began to dilate from the day 8 and continued to the 59 post-treatment. The average diameter of dilate of rate testis in ICI 182,780 treated group increased 2.3-fold compared to the control group. Epithelical cell height in the rate testis of the treated mice decreased all the time periods, compared to the control.
The natural history of the anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)-deficient knee remains controversial. although numerous investigation have tried to ascertain the course that the knee would follow once the ACL has lost functional integrity. An extensive review of the literature performed according to symptoms. physical examinations, associated surrounding tissue injuries. returns to activity level and radiological changes in the knee joint. An active individual with a non-functioning ACL was susceptible to injury to the menisci and deteriorate the articular cartilage, followed radiographic changes. An activity levels in general also changed after injury. The most common symptom was pain. But instability varied in these individuals. Conclusively we believe that all these factors will eventually, if not initially, result in a symptomatic knee. which will result in significant limitations to the individual's desired level. So we recommend an aggressive approach in person who desired to return to a relatively active life style in young person as well as in middle aged individuals who have significant symptomatic ACL deficient knee.
Micrococcus luteus purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP) has been purified and characterized. The physical and kinetic properties have been described previously. Chemical modification of the enzyme was attempted to gain insight on the active site. The enzyme was inactivated in a time-dependent manner by the arginine- specific modifying reagent phenylglyoxal. There was a linear relationship between the observed rate of inactivation and the phenylglyoxal concentration. At 30 $^{\circ}C$ the bimolecular rate constant for the modification was 0.015 $min^{-1}mM^{-1}$ in 50 mM $NaHCO_3$ buffer, pH 7.5. The plot of logk versus log phenylglyoxal concentration was a strainght line with a slope value of 0.9, indicating that modification of one arginine residue was needed to inactivate the enzyme. Preincubation with saturated solutions of substrates protected the enzyme from inhibition of phenylglyoxal, indicating that reactions with phenylglyoxal were directed at arginyl residues essential for the catalytic functioning of the enzyme.
Maternal depression is known to have important negative effects on mother, child and mother-child relationship. To review current research evidence of association between maternal depression and their children's health and development, relevant studies were identified using Medline and Kiss(Korean studies Information Service System). The majority of research has reported that children of mother with depression are at risk for impaired physical functioning, growth and developmental delays, and behavioral problems compared to general population. From these studies, it is suggested that these kinds of studies are necessary in this country to examine the relation between maternal depression and children's health and development. Recommendations are included for future research and screening programs for maternal depression.
The authors recently experienced a case of ectopic thyroid. A 15-year-old female patient visited to ENT department with the complaint of the submental neck mass. On physical examination, the mass was relatively firm, non tender and 3$\times$2cm in size. Oral cavity examination revealed 0.5$\times$0.5cm sized pink colored mass near the foramen cecum area. Suspecting ectopic thyroid, thyroid function test, thyroid scan, neck computed tomogram scan were performed. Thyroid scan revealed a functioning thyroid on the lingual and submental area without normal uptake in the anterior neck area. Thyroid (unction test was normal. Pre-contrast computed tomogram scan revealed an ectopic thyroid in the lingual and submental area. A review of literature concerning ectopic thyroid was discussed.

Developing smart cities increasingly relies on metaverse technology. This has become much more apparent in the post-COVID-19 pandemic urban environment. The demand for fast processing of huge amounts of data and the convergence of various media types is essential for keeping city residents well-informed and safe. This paper builds on recent research on metaverse, smart cities, and digital outdoor advertising media. It proposes that "space culture media", which collectively functions by using physical or virtual spatial information, will play a key role in the smart city, functioning as an augmented city. Specifically, this paper deals with significant issues related to the smart city changes created by tecoration, a metaverse urban media space facilitated and enhanced through digital outdoor advertising.
The purpose of this study is to find out the level of digital stress that people experience and to investigate the effects of socio-economic variables on that. To collect data, structured questionnaire was developed and 1,200 questionnaires were distributed through internet. There were 2 dimensions in this study to examine digital stress. First dimension was about the devices themselves: computers and the other digital goods. Second dimension was about the time digital stress occurring in consumers' decision-making process: purchasing and using. Based on Yeo&Kim(2004), sub-dimensions of purchasing and using aspects were chosen. 5 sub-dimensions in purchasing side were new technology, cost, variety of alternatives, warranty service, and informational problem 6 sub-dimensions in using field were mal(or impaired)-functioning. physical aspects, immaturity in use, pressure to use, addiction to use, and informational problem. As independent variables, sex, age, educational level, digitalization acceptability and computer usability were used. The overall level of digital stress was around the average point which was not as high as expected. Digital stress of purchasing was higher than that of using. First, in purchasing aspects, the level of digital stress was relatively high in cost, variety of alternatives and warranty service. Hence, clear communications with consumers about the distinctive aspects and cost of digital devices in market are needed. Secondly, in using side, mal-functioning and physical aspects were relatively more powerful stressors. In the other words, the more serious problems were not from the characteristics of individual consumers but from those of products. Producers should put their best efforts to reduce imperfection (defectiveness) and develop user-friendly digital devices. Also, users' individual efforts to overcome the problems that can be solved privately are necessary. Finally, it was discovered that sex and computer usability were very important variables on digital stress. To extend computer usability of consumers and get over digital illiteracy, it is essential to expand the paths to give chances for people to contact with computers and other digital goods. Still there are lots of people whore computer-illiterate or low-skilled at computers. In policies or educational programs made by government, communities, or schools, more attention should be paid to the digitally vulnerable groups.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in nutrient intake according to using diuretics, symptom severity and degree of physical functioning in heart failure patients. Methods: A secondary data analysis was conducted by using baseline data of an intervention study for heart failure patients. In this study, 131 heart failure patients were included. Data were collected using medical records, NYHA (New York Heart Association functional classification) class, and 6-minute-walking test and 24-hour diet recall. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Chi-square test by SPSS 21.0. Nutrient intake was assessed using CAN-pro 2.0. Results: Majority of the participants consumed total calorie less than Estimated Energy Requirement (EER) and consumed carbohydrates more than 65% of their total calorie intakes. 24.4% of the participants consumed fat more than 30% of their total calorie intakes and 23.7% consumed saturated fat more than 7% of their total calorie intakes. 100.0% of the participants consumed protein less than 7% of their total calorie intakes and 73.3% of the participants consumed more than recommended intakes of sodium. More than 90.0% of the participants consumed less than adequate intakes of potassium (90.1%) and Vitamin D (91.6%), respectively. 100% and 62.6% of the participants consumed less than Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) of magnesium and Vitamin $B_1$, respectively. Nutrient intakes in heart failure patients were different for potassium intake according to the usage of diuretics. The participants with symptom severity tended to intake protein less properly and the participants walking more than 300.0 m tended to intake sodium improperly high. Conclusions: The findings of this study indicated the need for screening nutrient intakes of heart failure patients. It is necessary to increase the intake of total calories and most nutrients and to restrict sodium intakes among heart failure patients.

To examine the difference of health-related quality of life (QoL) of obese patients between before and after treatment of Korean traditional medicine. This study was assessed in 18 obese-women (age 29.72${\pm}$7.38) treated by acupuncture and herbal medicine using SF-36 quality of life questionnaire between January and July 2006, a 36 item instrument yielding 8 dimensions (Social functioning, Role limitation-Physical, Role limitation-Emotion, Mental health, Vitality, Bodily pain, and General health) and a total score. Their weight was measured by Inbody 3.0 (Biospace co. Korea). QoL and body composition was assessed twice at baseline (B) and 4 weeks after treatment. Auricular acupuncture and electrical needle stimulation to abdomen, thigh, and arm fat was used twice a week and complex herb formula was prescribed according to their constitution and symptoms for 4 weeks. Herb medication was taken 2 times a day. Respective variables were analyzed with Wilcoxon signed ranks test and the level set for statistical significance was p <0.05. The mean of the body weight (P=0.000;B64,68${\pm}$6.86, 4 WKs 60.47${\pm}$5.69), fat percentage (P=0.000;B33.14${\pm}$4.86, 4 WKs 30.16${\pm}$5.34), body mass index (P=0.000;B25.18${\pm}$2.44, 4 WKs 23.46${\pm}$2.09) and fat weight (P=0.000;B21.66${\pm}$5.06, 4 WKs 18.41${\pm}$4.57) of some obese patients decreased significantly between before and after treatment for 4 weeks. Physical functioning (P=0.48;B27.06${\pm}$3.17, 4 WKs 28.00${\pm}$1.71), Mental health (P=0.01 ;B18.83${\pm}$5.25, 4 WKs 22.00${\pm}$3.73), Vitality (P=0.028;B13.89${\pm}$3.03, 4 WKs 15.44${\pm}$2.53), Bodily pain (P=.0014;B8.84${\pm}$1.75, 4 WKs 10.15${\pm}$1.78), and the total scores (P=0.001;B104.99${\pm}$12.60, 4 WKs 114.58${\pm}$11.11) of SF-36 were increased significantly after treatments. These data show some differences in QoL and BMI between before and after treatment on obesity and suggest that the treatment with acupuncture and herbal medicine have a positive impact on several domains of QoL of some obese patients. Further randomized clinical trials (RCTs) including follow-up are needed to examine whether acupuncture and herb medicine have a positive effect on QoL of treatment group compared with control group.
