A High-efficiency Buck-boost Half-bridge Inverter for Single-phase Photovoltaic Generation (단상 태양광 발전용 고효율 벅부스트 하프브리지 인버터)

  • Among single-phase photovoltaic inverters that can avoid excessive leakage current caused by the large parasitic capacitance of photovoltaic panels, a boost converter followed by a half-bridge inverter is the simplest and has the smallest leakage current. However, due to the high DC-link voltage, the rated voltage of the switching devices is high and the switching loss is large. This paper proposes a new circuit topology which can operate as a buck-boost inverter by adding two bidirectional switches to the output side of the half-bridge inverter instead of removing the boost converter. By reducing two stages of power conversion through the high-voltage DC-link to one stage, power loss can be reduced without increasing costs and leakage current. The feasibility of the proposed circuit topology is verified by computer simulation and power loss calculation.

  • Strategies to facilitate carrier transfer/transport while preserving confined characteristics of isolated nanocrystal quantum dots (NQDs) will be discussed. Specifically, synthesis and characterizations of 1) the fabrication of neat NQD solids (assembled NQD films) with modified surfaces by attaching ligands or by applying physical processes such as heat annealing [J. Phys. Chem. C (2011), 115(3), 607] and 2) coupling NQDs to one-dimensional nanostructures such as single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) [ACS Nano, (2010) 4(1), 324] will be presented. Further, recent achievement ours of fabricating NQDs assemblies into photovoltaic devices for elucidating transfer mechanism witll be discussed.

  • New C60 fullerenes derivatives [G1]-C60 (1) and [G2]-C60 (2) comprising of phenylenevinylene bridges and phenylquinoline peripheral surface groups were synthesized by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of fullerene C60 with azomethine ylide in situ generated from [Gx]-CHO dendrons (x = 1 and 2) and sarcosine.

  • 저온 공정을 통한 저가형의 태양전지를 만들기 위해 ALD 공정 법으로 Zinc oxide의 전도성을 조절하여 전기 증착법을 통해 성장시킨 Cuprous oxide와 p-n heterojunction을 구성하고 태양전지를 제작하였을 때 최적의 효율을 확인하였다. 전도성이 낮아질수록 전착법과의 p-n junction에서의 Jsc값이 증가하여 100도의 Zinc oxide의 경우 0.13%의 태양전지 효율을 보였다.

  • Atomic layer deposition (ALD) 방법으로 증착시킨 ZnO 기반의 박막물질들을 다양한 종류의 태양전지에서 TCO, Buffer Layer 등으로 활용하기 위한 노력이 최근 이루어지고 있다. 본 발표에서는 ALD를 이용한 ZnO 기반 박막물질들의 광전소자로의 적용을 위한 요구물성을 맞추기 위한 precursor/reactant의 selection을 포함한 공정 parameter가 박막의 물성에 미치는 영향 및 생산성 향상을 위한 ALD 공정장치 개발 예를 소개하고, 광전소자 특성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다.

  • In this paper, the authors propose a DC-DC boost converter of high efficiency by partial resonant switching mode, the switching devices in a proposed circuit are operated with soft switching and the control technique of those is simplified for switch to drive in constant duty cycle. The circuit has a merit which is taken to increase of efficiency, as it makes to a regeneration at input source of accumulated energy in snubber condenser without loss of snubber inconventional circuit. The proposed converter is deemed the most suitable for high power applications where the power switching devices are used.
