광기여 필름 LED 팬던트 작업조명시스템 주관평가와 성능검증 (Study of Efficiency Test and Subjective Responses about Pendent Task Lighting System Using Phosphor Luminescent Film LED)

  • For a long time work or study, pendent task lighting system prepared with phosphor luminescent film LED was developed for eye protection and working efficiency improvement. Developed lighting system was used together with pendent and ambient lighting. Such as, we made comfortable lighting environment system. Evaluation for developed lighting system, that had proceeded to Mock-up test and subjective evaluation. Also It had proceeded that lighting environment analyzed and compatibility valuation of installation. In subjective evaluation, the students have expressed themselves satisfied to phosphor luminescent film LED lighting system. In Mock-up test, It is not problem to intensity of illumination, luminance and color temperature. Therefore, developed LED lighting system was installed at the Daegu apartment. It is having a P.O.E study progress to phosphor luminescent film LED lighting system.

  • Plasma display Panels(PDPs) are one of the leading technologies currently under development for large-area high-brightness flat panel displays. However, the luminance and luminous efficiency of at PDPs should be improved. Especially, one of the main factors affecting on the luminance and luminous efficiency of ac PDP may be the phosphor thickness and size of discharge space. In this study, we examined into addressing time, electrical and optical properties as a parameter of the phosphor thickness and the size of discharge space during the display period of ac PDP. It is found out that the optimum phosphor thickness was $50{\mu}m$ and height of discharge space was about $100{\mu}m$.

저온소성 형광체 페이스트의 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Low Temperature Calcined Phosphor Paste)

  • 본 연구에서는 LCD BLU에 적용 가능한 면광원용 저온소성 형광체 페이스트(paste)를 제조하여 그 특성을 검토하였다. 형광체 paste에는 저온 소성용 아크릴 레진을 바인더로 사용하였으며, 그 열분해특성을 검토한 결과 $400^{\circ}C$에서 잔탄이 0.1 wt% 이하인 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제조한 paste로 스크린 인쇄를 통해 면광원용 device를 제작한 결과, 형광체 휘도에 대해 100%에 가까운 발광특성을 나타내었다.

$EU^{2+}$ Activated Green Phosphor $Ba_{2}CaMgSi_{2}O_{8}:Eu^{2+}$

  • We report $EU^{2+}$ activated green phosphor $Ba_{2}CaMgSi_{2}O_{8}:Eu^{2+}$. The phosphor absorbs ultroviolet radation and emits a green visible light. The phosphors were synthesized by conventional solid state reaction method. The high purity $BaCO_3$, $CaCO_3$, MgO, $SiO_2$, $Eu_{2}O_{3}$ were used as raw materials. The raw materials were mixed thoroughly with an appropriate amount of ethanol in an agate mortar and then dried at $90^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours. The mixture was sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours and reheated at the mild reducing atmosphere 5% $H_2$ gas mixed with 95% $N_2$ gas at about $900^{\circ}C$ to $1200^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours. The photoluminescence spectra of the phosphor powders were measured by a fluorescent spectrophotometer. The crystal structure of phosphor powders were investigated by X -ray diffractometer.

분산형 전계발광 소자의 발광 특성 (Emission Characteristics of Power Type Electroluminescent Device)

  • Powder type electroluminescent device(P-ELD) in this study was prepared by printing method. P-ELDs were basically composed of phosphor, insulator and transparent conducting layer. The phosphor powder was prepared by sintering the mixture of ZnS as a host, Cu as an activator, and NaCl as a flux for co-activator and enhancement of growth of the phosphor particles. The phosphor layer was made by printing the paste of the cyanoethylpullan as a binder and the ZnS system phosphor powder. In order to evaluate the luminescence characteristics of ZnS P-ELD, applied voltage - luminance(V-L), frequency-luminance(f-L), and relative luminance spectra(L- .lambda.) characteristics were measured. The experimental results show that luminance increased with increasing the applied voltage and frequency. It can be explained in terms of the potential barrier formed between ZnS and CuS. Two emission peaks in luminance-wavelength spectra measured at applied voltage of 100 $V_{rms}$ were observed at 500nm as a primary peak and 460nm as a secondary peak, respectively.y.

백색 레이저 조명용 Y3Al5O12:Ce3+,Pr3+ 단결정 특성 (Properties of Y3Al5O12:Ce3+,Pr3+ Single Crystal for White Laser Lightings)

  • $Y_3A_{l5}O_{12}:Ce^{3+},Pr^{3+}$ single crystal phosphor was prepared by floating zone method. single crystal was confirmed to have a Ia-3d (230) space group of cubic structure and showed regular morphology. The optical properties, single crystal exhibited a emission band from green, yellow wide wavelength and 610nm, 640nm red wavelength vicinity. The luminance maintenance rate was decreased by phonon with increasing temperature, but high luminance is maintained more than powder phosphor. In addition, $Y_3A_{l5}O_{12}:Ce^{3+},Pr^{3+}$ single crystal phosphor was applied to a high power blue laser diode, we implemented high power white laser lightings. and it was confirmed that thermal properties over time, due to the effective heat transfer of complete crystal structure. We confirmed that excellent radiant heat properties than powder phosphor was applied to a high power white laser diode.

  • In order to synthesize LED phosphor materials, we have applied three novel synthesis techniques, "melt synthesis", "fluidized bed synthesis" and "vapor-solid hybrid synthesis", in contrast with the conventional solid state reaction technique. These synthesis techniques are also a general and powerful tool for rapid screening and improvements of new phosphor materials.

  • BGR mixture phosphor pumped by 400 nm is developed for white-light-emitting diode of liquid crystal display backlight. White-emitting phosphor is prepared by mixing $Ba_2SiO_4:Eu^{2+}$ and $(Ba,Sr)_3MgSi_2O_8:Eu^{2+},Mn^{2+}$ phosphors.

  • In this paper, to implement the electrical equivalent modeling of powder electroluminescent device, capacitate equation of device was chosen. The conventional structure device which have dielectric and phosphor layer between electrodes, and the single emission structure device which means that dielectric and phosphor were mixed between electrodes, were investigated. As a result, it was possible to make the equation that is transferred capacitance to phosphor layer, and using measured brightness efficiency and conductivity of devices was calculated.

Emission Characteristic of PtOEP Phosphor in Single- and Multi-layer Electroluminescence Devices

  • We report the electroluminescence properties of single- and multi-layer electroluminescence devices using PtOEP phosphor. Weak emission bands with peaks at 540 and 567 nm are observed in the former and latter devices, respectively, besides the well-known 648 nm PtOEP emission. The 540 nm emission increases in proportion to the third power of current density, while the 648 nm emission band increases linearly. Discussion is made on a reason for a much smaller luminance of PtOEP compared with $Ir(ppy)_{3}$ phosphor.
