Oil fly ash is known as one source of raw materials from which vanadium and nickel metals can be recovered. The current recovery process of valuable metals from oil fly ash is mainly the hydrormetallurgy one. Nevertheless, a great amount about 50~80%, of unburned carbon remains as byproduct after hydrormetallursy process. In Taiwan, if hydrormetallursy processes have proceeded, it can be estimated that the annual production of unburned carbon is 25 thousand tons. From the viewpoint of resource recycling, this study is a preliminary study and investigates in recovery of sub micron- graphitized carbon from unburned carbon by a designed process. The designed process included the following steps: 1.selecting a portion with +400mesh size from unburned carbon; 2.treating the selected in ultrasonic waves; 3.using a 400mesh sieve to obtain the product which is under 400mesh; 4.Removal ash from the product. In regard to treatment by ultrasonic waves in the designed process, treating time of ultrasonic waves is a simple and only variance in this study. The results indicate that the production yields increase with the treating time of ultrasonic waves; the production yield in specific conditions of this study can reach about 23%, in which ash content in product is about 2.5%. According to results of SEM, TEM and XRD, the products from the designed process are flakes in shape, several microns in size and graphitized carbon in carbon crystal phase. Except to graphitized carbon, there are a little carbon blacks, which are graphite 2H in carbon crystal phase in the products. Conclusively, the designed process is possibly applicable, by which comes to the recovery of micron- graphitized carbon.
Gordona sp. MS6, desulfurizing petroleum, can convert dibenzothiophene (DBT) to 2-hydroxybiphenyl (2-HBP) and sulfate. In this study, the effect of DBT degradation product on DBT desulfurization activity was investigated. When $Na_2$SO$_4$ and DBT were simultaneously added in the medium sulfur sources, specific growth rate of strain MS6 was doubled compared to not adding $Na_2$SO$_4$. But, sulfate inhibited DBT desulfurization rate, furthermore, when 0.05 g/L $Na_2$SO$_4$ was supplied DBT desulfurization rate decreased down to 40%. When 2-HBP and its derivative, 2, 2'-dihydroxybiphenyl (DHBP) were not added, DBT desulfurization rate was 5.0 $\mu$mol L$^{-1}$ㆍh$^{-1}$. With the increase of 2-HBP and DHBP concentration, DBT desulfurization rate was decreased. No DBT desulfurization activity of Gordona sp. MS6 was observed when initial concentration was over 0.15 mM 2-HBP and 0.8 mM DHBP [Gordona sp., Desulfurization, Dibenzothiophene, 2-Hydroxybiphenyl, Sulfate].
A study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of petroleum ether extract of leaves of Ficus racemosa Linn. for its antidiarrheal potential against several experimental models of diarrhea in rats. Ficus racemosa leaves extract (FRLE) treated animals showed significant inhibitory activity against castor oil induced diarrhea and inhibited significantly $PGE_2$ induced enteropooling in rats. It also showed significant reduction in gastrointestinal motility following charcoal meal in rats. The results obtained establish the efficacy of FRLE as an antidiarrheal agent.

A better knowledge of emission inventories can serve several important functions such as provision of public information, identification of primary sources, assessment of temporal and spatial trend, and analysis for national modelling studies. The purpose of this paper is to propose the new air emission source categories on the basis of the Korea Standard Industrial Classification. Hence, the paper focuses on reviewing and comparing the air emission sources categories of USEPA, and EU. The new emission source categories compose Tiers 1, 2, and 3. For Tier 1, there are 14 categories; fuel combustion-utilities, industries, and heating and others, chemical and allied product manufacturing, metals processing, and petroleum and related industries, etc. Tier 2 consists of small categories classified minutely in Tier 1. Tier 3 connects the categories of Tier 2 with the Korea Standard Industrial Classification.
There are many methods of obtaining butadiene described in the literature. In the america it is produced largely from petroleum gases, i.e., by catalytic dehydrogenation of butene of butene-butane mixtures. Butadiene can be recovered from the $C_4$ residue of an olefin plant by distilling off a fraction containing most of the butadiene, catalytically hydrogenating the higher acetylenes to olefins and separating the product from other olefins and isobutane by extraction. Also it can be obtained by cracking naphtha and light oil. Among the individual dienes of commercial importance, 1, 3-butadiene is of first importance. It is used primarily for the production of polymers. In the present paper, it was investigated for a effect of the formation and the growth inhibition of popped corn polymer in butadiene extraction unit. As a result of study, inhibitors, $NaNO_2$ and TBC were good effective for inhibition of the formation and growth in popcorn polymer. The rational formula of popcorn polymer obtained was $(C_4H_6)_x$.

In the present study, the roots of Sesbania grandiflora L. Poiret (Papilionaceae) were successively extracted with petroleum ether (PE), chloroform (CE), methanol (ME) and water (AE) by soxhlet extraction. The extracts were vacuum dried and screened for analgesic, antidiarrhoeal, antibacterial (Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Micrococcus luteus, Bacillus cereus, and Klebsiella pneumonia) and antifungal (Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger) activity. All the extracts exhibited potent, dose dependant (40 and 80 mg/kg) and significant analgesic and antidiarrhoeal activity in the order of AE>PE>CE>ME and ME>PE>AE>CE respectively. AE at the experimental dose was found to exhibit more potent analgesic activity than standard drug. All the extracts exhibited significant antibacterial $(100\;{\mu}g/ml)$ and antifungal activity $(50\;and\;100\;{\mu}g/ml)$. ME exhibited the most potent antibacterial activity.

Nine triterpenes were isolated from the petroleum ether and MeOH extract of Perilla frutescens var. acuta leaves. Their structures were determined to be arjunic acid (1), maslinic acid (2), oleanolic acid (3), euscaphic acid (4), tormentic acid (5), 3-O-trans-p-coumaroyltormentic acid (6), 28-formyloxy-$3{\beta}$-hydroxy-urs-12-ene (7), ursolic acid (8), and corosolic acid (9) by spectroscopic methods. The compounds 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7 were isolated for the first time from this plant and the Genus Labiatae. The isolated compounds (1-9) were tested for cytotoxicity against four human tumor cell lines (A549, SK-OV-3, SK-MEL-2, and HCT-15) in vitro using a Sulforhodamin B bioassay.
To investigate the characteristics of pyrolysis for LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE, the low temperature pyrolysis was carried out in the range of 425 to $500^{\circ}C$ for 35 to 65 min. The liquid products formed during pyrolysis were classified into gasoline, kerosene, light oil and wax according to the distillation temperatures based on the petroleum product quality standard of Korea Petroleum Quality Inspection Institute. TGA experiments for three PE samples showed that the onset temperature of pyrolysis increased with increasing heating rate, and the onset temperature of pyrolysis at a fixed heating rate was in the order of LDPE$475^{\circ}C$. Yields of gasoline and kerosene were highest at $450^{\circ}C$, 65 min and decreased slightly at above $475^{\circ}C$.
For Indonesia, sustainable energy supply is an important factor to preserve the stable economic growth. One important strategy is development of renewable energy, which has not been fully exploited yet. The paper examines the potency of renewable energy in Indonesia. Currently, biomass composes 23% of total primary energy supply, while geothermal and hydropower has a combined share of 3%. But according to the overall potency of renewable energy, hydropower is found to have the highest available resource of 76 GW, followed by biomass and geothermal by 49.81 GW and 28.53 GW, respectively. Although the solar radiation is only at modest level ($4.80kWh/m^2/day$), the tropical all year sunlight can boost the competitiveness of solar photovoltaic and thermal application. As for wind energy, the average speed of 3-6 m/s requires the development of low speed wind turbine. The examination of electricity and petroleum product prices through international comparison for non-OECD countries shows fifth lowest price level for both of petroleum products and electricity for industrial use. As for household electricity price, Indonesia is placed the second among all the countries compared. The energy subsidy and price structure are examined in detail because it could be a source of hindrance to renewable energy promotion. The examination of renewable energy potency in this study could provide insights about recent development of renewable energy in Indonesia. As an outcome of policy examination, the price comparison analysis suggests Indonesia to reduce or even remove the energy subsidies in the long run. These findings can be utilized to formulate effective policies for renewable energy promotion.
