A Diet Prescription System for U-Healthcare Personalized Services (유헬스케어 개인화 서비스를 위한 식단 처방 시스템)

  • U-Healthcare provides healthcare and medical services, such as prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services whenever and wherever it is needed, and its ultimate goal is to improve quality of life. This study defines the figure of U-Healthcare personalized services for providing U-Healthcare personalized services and proposes a healthcare model. A diet prescription system for personalized services can draw customized calories and rates of nutrition factors and represent a personalized diet through analyzing the personal preference in foods. This system changes the personal preference by monitoring the diet selection behavior of users. Also, this system is designed to be interactively operated with some sensors and devices in various environments using Java-based OSGi middleware.

PReAmacy: A Personalized Recommendation Algorithm considering Contents and Intimacy between Users in Social Network Services (PReAmacy: 소셜 네트워크 서비스에서 콘텐츠와 사용자의 친밀도를 고려한 개인화 추천 알고리즘)

  • Various characteristics of social network contents such as real-time, people relationship and big data can help to improve personalized recommender systems. Among them, 'people relationship' is a key factor of recommendation, so many personalized recommender systems utilizing it have been proposed. However, existing researches can not reflect personal tendency and are unable to provide precise recommendations in various domains, because they do not consider intimacy among people. In this paper, to solve these problems, we propose PReAmacy, a Personalized Recommendation Algorithm, considering intimacy among users and various characteristics of social network contents. Our experimental results indicate that not only the precision of PReAmacy is higher than that of existing algorithms, but intimacy is of great importance in PReAmacy.

  • In this paper, we propose a new network architecture for the future broadband personalized multimedia network. We first consider the service and technical requirements for supporting future advanced services such as personalized and intelligent communication services. In addition, we consider the design and implementation of the future network. Considering these requirements. we propose a new network architecture and its control scheme that can efficiently support the future personalized and intelligent services as well as broadband multimedia services. The network provides only a relatively simple core set of functions such as basic end-to-end connectivity, integrated access, and primitive network intelligence of user location. More intelligent features (e.g., personalized calling, virtual private networking and so on) can be offered through the additional network facilities or computing devices through an intelligent network.

  • In accordance with the development of broadcasting, the style of using medium by users has been personalized in the propensity to consume. Recent advent of media convergence allowed users of medium to decide the received environment for their needs, thereby the position of users has become more important in the medium consumption. IPTV has the most advanced form of personalized information media. However, IPTV was made by media convergence, which has relation with a variety of interested parties, so there are a few troubles among them in the way of commercializing IPTV. As a matter of fact, although users play a leading role in the IPTV industry, there are still few discussions on the welfare of users. IPTV should be remained the characteristic of the medium of personalized information, and it should include the welfare of users in various fields of media convergence. That is Universal Service. It is necessary to be guaranteed the access right and the variety of contents in using IPTV. Moreover, in terms of telecommunication, IPTV should insure the reasonable fare system as a pay-services. On the basis of the analysis in local and international IPTV circumstances, in terms of content as a medium of personalized information, in terms of fares as a pay-services, and in terms of digital literacy as a new medium of digital access, policies for welfare of users are suggested.

Examining Success Factors of Online P2P Lending Service Using Kano Model and Fuzzy-AHP (Kano 모형과 Fuzzy-AHP를 이용한 온라인 P2P 금융 서비스 성공요인 도출)

  • Recently, new financial services related to FinTech has gained attention more and more. Online P2P financial services transactions such as FinTech require careful examination of the constituents of information systems as an investment is made based on the information presented on the online platform without direct face-to-face contact. The purpose of this study is to find out the success factors of online P2P Lending service among FinTech. To serve the purpose, we build IS (information system) success model, and then use Kano model and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (Fuzzy-AHP) to find out factors for the success of online P2P Lending service. In particular, this study uses Kano model to classify information system satisfaction factors and to calculate the satisfaction coefficient. The Kano model, however, has a drawback of evaluating single criterion. Therefore, we use multi-criteria decision-making technique such as Fuzzy-AHP to derive the relative importance of the factors. The analysis results show different results depending on the analysis technique. In the Kano model, most of the information system factors are a one-dimensional quality attribute. The satisfaction coefficient is highest for personalized service, followed by the responsiveness of service, ease of using a system, understanding of information, usefulness of information' reliability. The service reliability is the highest in dissatisfaction coefficient, followed by system security, service responsiveness, system stability, and personalized service. The results of the Fuzzy-AHP analysis shows that the usefulness of information quality, the personalization of service quality, and the security of system quality are the significant factors and the stability of system quality was a secondary factor.

  • According to 2005 Korea National Health and Nutrition Survey, it has been reported that 32.9% men and 31.8% women have Metabolic syndrome among the population of age 30 and over. The importance of prevention and management is being emphasized in Metabolic syndrome which is a complex disease related to various generic and environmental factors like other chronical disease. In this study we suggest an service based on the data using the system architecture, ontology and Jena2.0 inference engine and organizing the disease-related guideline. The study also arrives at the result through proper interpretation and reasoning process using health management service model based on ontology. The accuracy according to the situation was tested and 930 data samples were selected and experimented. We drew a conclusion that the much personalized data is available, the more personalized services are possible. Since the risk factors of Metabolic syndrome are various, it would be effective to suggest customized services based on various personalized data.

Push Service Technique based on Semantic Web for Personalized Services (개인화서비스를 위한 시맨틱웹 기반 푸시서비스 기법)

  • Many personalized services that provide users with adaptive information according to users' preferences have been researched and developed. Push services are especially expected to be more economic impact because push services satisfy user's potential needs even if the user does not require anything. In this paper, we propose Semantic Web approach in order to enhance the performance of push services. Our approach provides infrastructure to recommend contents based on semantic association by enabling information of contents and user preferences to be described on service-specific ontologies that reflect features of each service. In addition, our approach can recommend users with adaptive information based on information represented in our description model. Our approach enables information of contents and user preferences to be described with rich expressiveness, and it provides semantic interoperability.

Personalized diet and exercise management service based on PHR (PHR기반 개인 맞춤형 식이·운동 관리 서비스 개발)

  • We developed a Smartphone application based on PHR(Personal Health Records) provided by a tertiary hospital to provide users personalized diet, exercise contents. It uses Relevance ratio algorithm of diet and excercise being correlated with diseases listed on PHR to provide personalized contents to management of individual diseases and record the amounts of food taken and exercise along with calories consumed through exercise. Besides, developed U-Health Service also considering users' conditions and conveniences, as a service to use contents and record suitable for the individuals who share the information on restaurants locations, their menus, and nutrition based on users' location information.

  • With the advance of information technologies and the spread of Internet use, the volume of usable information is increasing explosively. A content recommendation system provides the services of filtering out information that users do not want and recommending useful information. Existing recommendation systems analyze the records and patterns of Web connection and information demanded by users through data mining techniques and provide contents from the service provider's viewpoint. Because it is hard to express information on the users' side such as users' preference and lifestyle, only limited services can be provided. The semantic Web technology can define meaningful relations among data so that information can be collected, processed and applied according to purpose for all objects including images and documents. The present study proposes a content recommendation search system that can update and reflect personalized profiles dynamically in semantic Web environment. A personalized profile is composed of Collector that contains the characteristics of the profile, Aggregator that collects profile data from various collectors, and Resolver that interprets profile collectors specific to profile characteristic. The personalized module helps the content recommendation server make regular synchronization with the personalized profile. Choosing music as a recommended content, we conduct an experience on whether the personalized profile delivers the content to the content recommendation server according to a service scenario and the server provides a recommendation list reflecting the user's preference and lifestyle.

An Adaptive Recommendation Service Scheme Using Context-Aware Information in Ubiquitous Environment (유비쿼터스 환경에서 상황 인지 정보를 이용한 적응형 추천 서비스 기법)

  • With the emergence of ubiquitous computing era, various models for providing personalized service have been proposed, and, especially, several recommendation service schemes have been proposed to give tailored services to users proactively. However, the previous recommendation service schemes utilize a wide range of data without and filtering and consider the limited context-aware information to predict user preferences so that they are not adequate to provide personalized service to users. In this paper, we propose an adaptive recommendation service scheme which proactively provides suitable services based on the current context. We use accumulated interaction contexts (IC) between users and devices for predicting the user's preferences and recommend adaptive service based on the current context by utilizing clustering and collaborative filtering. The clustering algorithm improves efficiency of the recommendation service by focusing and analyzing the data that is collected from the locations nearby the users. Collaborative filtering guarantees an accurate recommendation, even when the data is insufficient. Finally, we evaluate the performance and the reliability of the proposed scheme by simulations.
