The purpose of this study was to analyze self-expression and facilitative communication in university students according the their enneagram personality type. The subjects included 241 university students selected from universities in Seoul and Cheonan. The research tools of this study were the enneagram personality type scale, the assertiveness rating scale(self-expression) and facilitative communication rating scale. The statistics used from this data were one-way ANOVA(Post-hoc Duncan). The results were as follows; first, the self-expression was meaningfully different in content, paralinguistic and nonverbal assertive behavior characteristics by enneagram personality type university students. Second, immediacy, the sub factor of the facilitative communication rating scale varied depending upon the enneagram personality type(enneatype) of university students, Several suggestions were made concerning a study on self-expression and facilitative communication according to the enneagram personality type of university students.
Purpose: This study was conducted to determine factors related to self-esteem, personality, general characteristics and dating affecting positive affect in female college students. Methods: The subjects were 335 female students attending the three colleges in Chungnam Province. Data were collected using PANAS, Self-esteem, and DISC questionnaires. Hierarchical Multiple Regression Analysis was mainly used. Results: The factors affecting positive affect were self-esteem, personality-dominance type, personality -consciousness type, economic status and boyfriend presence in female college students. These 5 factors accounted for 30.3% of positive affect of female students. In cases of having a boyfriend, factors affecting positive affect were self-esteem, economic status, boyfriend's height, and boyfriend's economic status. These 4 factors accounted for 30.5% of positive affect of female students who have a boyfriend. Conclusion: The positive affect levels of female students should be raised in practice through intervention such as a self-esteem improvement program, personality traits intervention program, and counseling on dating.
This research explored links between mother/child personality characteristics based on their diagnostic and clinical pathology. The 232 participants, selected from mother-child pairs receiving psychological care in a hospital setting, were tested and interviewed by clinical practitioners. Correlations were found between mothers' Psychopathic Deviate, Paranoia, Psychasthenia, and Schizophrenia and sons' Psychasthenia, aggression, alienation, depression, and anger. Mothers classified with Hysteria were likely to have aggressive children. Mothers with low self-esteem, repression, frustration, and strong levels of extroversion had daughters with anger/rage issues. Sons of mothers diagnosed with Hypochondriasis, Depression, Hysteria, Psychopathic Deviate, Paranoia, and Psychasthenia had high rates of Oppositional Defiant Disorder and ADHD. Children of mothers diagnosed with depression had high rates of ADHD. Specifically, mothers with Hypochondriasis, Hysteria, and Psychopathic Deviate had daughters with high rates of ADHD.

The purpose of this study is to recognize the differences of visual evaluation by variations in width of hem line and waistline position of the bell buttom pants. The stimuli are 9 samples: One control group, 3 variations of the width of hem line and 3 variations of the waistline position. The data has been obtained from 56 fashion students. The data has been analyzed by Factor Analysis, Anova, Scheffe's Test and the MCA method. The results of the study are as follows: The visual evaluation by the width of hem line and waistline position of bell buttom pants are composed of 5 factors : comfort, personality, physical characteristics, stiffness and modern. Among these factors, the comfort is evaluated to be the most important factor. As a visual evaluation result of changes in the width of hern line, 62cm in width (the narrowest width) was highly evaluated in comfort and stiffness factors, 78cm in width (the widest width) was highly evaluated in personality and physical characteristics factors. For the result of changes in the waistline position, high-waisted bell buttom pants were was highly evaluated in personality and stiffness factors, low-waisted bell buttom pants were was highly evaluated in comfort, physical characteristics and modern factors. The width of hem line and waistline position of the bell buttom pants interacted to the comfort factor. The width of hem line had more influence on visual evaluation in personality factors while physical characteristics, stiffness and modern factors were affected by the waistline position.
Public officials are volunteers for the people, and the police are in charge of the safety of the people. In particular, the marine safety of Korea, which has three sides of the sea, is very important. The education of maritime police is a very important factor due to the specificity and risk of the sea. In particular, since the new curriculum is linked to the job while in office, factors related to educational performance are more important. In this study, the relationship between personality characteristics and academic burnout was examined for 200 new maritime police officials. Among the five factors of personality characteristics, extroversion factors, neurotic factors, and emotional exhaustion factors were extroversion factors, neurotic factors, and cynicism factors, and extroversion factors, neurotic factors, and integrity factors. In particular, the five factors of personality characteristics that have the greatest influence on academic burnout were neurotic. For the educational satisfaction and effectiveness of the new maritime police officer, it is necessary to minimize the psychological margin and stress of the new maritime police officer.
The purpose of study is to provide efficient initial approaches for counseling in social work practice settings. First, it attempts to identify the correlation between the Myers-Brigg's Type Indicator(MBTI), a personality index based on the theory of psychological typology, and Personality Adaptation Types(PAT) models. Second, it attempts to develop a counseling method which can be applied to the initial interview, using the paradigm of door to therapy such as "Open Door", "Target Door", and "Trap Door" based on the PAT theory. The result of the quantitative study showed the correlation between MBTI and PAT as follows: MBTI Extrovert and Feeling(E, F) type was statistically correlated to hysterical PAT. MBTI Extrovert, Intuition and Perceiving(E, N, P) type was statistically correlated to Obsessive-Compulsive PAT. In conclusion, this study finds that when a clinical social worker approaches a client with the client's MBTI personality type and an interventional personality adaptation theory approach such as "Open Door", "Target Door", or "Trap Door", the efficiency of communication is increased significantly.
The purpose of this study was to examine the personality change of rooks that would possibly result from kitchen environment. It's basically meant to determine the relationship of environment to personality, by investigating how cooks felt about their own personality before and after working as a cook and conducting a self-diagnostic personality test based on theories on kitchen environment and personality. The subjects in this study were the cooks who served af top-rated hotels in Seoul, and the survey was carried out from April 8 through 12, 2002. The collected data were encoded and analyzed with SPSS 10.0 program. To identify the characteristics of the subjects, frequency analysis was implemented, and reliability analysis, T-test and ANOVA were employee. To verify the reliability of the questionnaire items, Cronbach's Alpha that represented internal consistency was calculated, and factor analysis was fulfilled to minimize related variables about cuisine environment and eliminate irrelevant ones. The findings of this study were as below: Out of total 27 cuisine environment variables, 22 ones boiled down to six factors. Factor 1 was conflicts, and factor 2 was job performance. Factor 3 was work, and factor 4 was environment. Factor 5 was facilities, and factor 6 was social. To make better cuisine environment each and every part of kitchen environment that affects cook personality should be improved, and further, what causes employee turnover should be eliminated. In the future, there is a need for broader research effort that could cover more extensive region and a wider variety of subjects other than cooks at the top-rated hotels.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to study the personality traits and cognitive characteristics of the Sasang constitution by comparing the Personality Test and Neuropsychological Test. Methods: A total of 121 subjects were analyzed with the results of a Two Step Questionnaire for the Sasang Constitution Diagnosis (TS-QSCD). Among them, the Personality Tests (SPQ, EPQ, TCI) and the Neuropsychological Tests (A-VLT, CPM, Stroop-CWIT, WCST) were processed and analyzed for Soyangin, Taeeumin, Soeumin. Results: 1. In the results of the SPQ, the Soyangin showed a significantly higher score than did the Taeeumin and Soeumin in Behavior, Emotionality, Cognition, as well as the Total Score. The SPQ-C score and SPQ-T were significantly higher for Soyangin, Soeumin and Taeeumin, in that order. 2. In the results of the EPQ, the Soyangin showed a significantly higher score than did the Taeeumin and Soeumin in Extraversion - introversion. Soeumin showed a significantly higher score than did the Soyangin and Taeeumin in Neuroticism. Soyangin also showed a significantly higher score than Taeeumin in Venturesomeness. 3. For the results of the TCI, the Soyangin showed a significantly lower score than did Taeeumin and Soeumin in Harm-Avoidance, but a significantly higher score in Persistence and Self-Directedness. Soyangin and Taeeumin showed a significantly higher score than did Soeumin for the total score of Self-Directedness+Cooperativeness. 4. The results of the Computerized Neuropsychological Tests (A-VLT, CPM, Stroop-CWIT, WCST) showed no significant differences between the Sasang constitution. Conclusions: The EPQ, TCI score showed significant differences between the Sasang constitution. But the Computerized Neuropsychological Tests developed to evaluate cognitive abilities did not show differences between the constitutional individuals and showed limitations as a research tool. Further studies are needed to devise a research method for ascertaining the cognitive behavioral characteristics of the Sasang constitution.

The purpose of this study is to reduce the costs required to proactively prevent the turnover intention by the results of personality type of locus of control. which is the behavioral outcome of the members of the organization. Based on this problem consciousness, the present study focused on the personal characteristics of the members of the organization in the enterprise. Among the individual characteristics, the intentions, which are distinct from others, are called personality, Focusing on the locus of control among these types of characteristics of the organization members, the study about how these control positions affect their job involvement and their turnover intention. The results validated in this study are summarized as follows. Among the personality types of the organization's members, internals are found to have higher job involvement than externals. In addition, it was found that internals among the personality types of the members of the organization lower the meaning of turnover intention than external member. In order to overcome uncertain management environment and create and sustain a competitive advantage in the organization, management has a weight-oriented trend and Increasing job involvement in organizational members and lowering their turnover intention will lead to continued productivity, among other things, important management items that managers and managers should pursue. Given these aspects, it is deemed necessary to analyze the personality aspects of the members of the organization and to transform and manage a new management mindset that leads to the enhancement of the personality as an internal rather than an external one and the task immersion of the members of the organization based on it.
Background: A study was conducted to check the occupational personality competency status of students enrolled in the three-year dental hygiene department and to understand the contents of vocational personality education to be prepared according to these results. Methods: For 240 students enrolled in the Department of Dental Hygiene in Area, Daegu, the College Student Occupational Personality Scale (OPSU) was administered. Results: The higher the major satisfaction (F=10.589, p<0.000) and the higher the major performance (F=3.704, p<0.01), the higher the vocational personality competency. The average occupational personality competency for job adaptation was 3.96±0.47 points (out of 5 points). As for the average for each sub-area, consideration was the highest at 4.51±0.42, and confidence was the lowest at 3.54±0.84. Among professional personality competencies, the average of each sub-area showed the highest positive correlation in the order of positivity (r=0.835, p<0.00), reliability (r=0.769, p<0.00), and community consciousness (r=0.767, p<0.00), and consideration (r=0.696, p<0.00) showed the lowest correlation. Conclusions: Personalized career and employment education should be provided in consideration of the individual occupational personality level of dental hygiene students considering the characteristics of the health and medical fields, and individual counseling should be provided in areas that are insufficient or supplemented. In addition, dental hygiene ethics education is necessary for the development of vocational personality competencies in the dental hygiene curriculum, and universities should spare no support for completing vocational personality education programs in preparation for the future society by using comparative programs.
