Currently marketing researchers are investigating the causal variables affecting to salesforces' performances. Some researchers found personal and organizational affecting variables as well as structural context of variables. But almost affecting variables examined in salesforce performance researches are personal characteristics. Such organizational variables like leadership, organization's market orientation would be worth to examine in salesforce performance researches. Thus this research is intended to analyze effects of personal and organizational characteristics on salesforces' performances. Data for this research were elicited from sales representatives of motor companies. Data collected were analyzed by regression analysis using SPSSWIN Ver.10.0. The following are major findings of this research. 1. Leadership whether transformational or transactional affected on salesforces' performances. But it was not accepted that transformational leadership would be superior than transactional leadership. 2. Market Orientation of organization affected on its salesforces' performances. 3. Personal characteristics such as need for achievement, compensation predispositon, self efficacy, learning goal orientation were affect on salesforces' performances. But it found that effects of intrinsic compensation predisposition on salesforces, performances were reverser (-). Based on the above findings, the following conclusion could be drawn: 1. Organizational variables like leadership and market orientation are key managerial variables in the sales organization, meaning that sales manager development and organization's market-driven culture are important. 2. Through recruiting and educating, raising salesforces' self-esteem is necessitated.

The purpose of this study was to show the expected age of retirement of the couple, husband and wife, individually, the difference between the expected age of retirement of the husband and that of the wife, and to analyze contributing variables. The sample in this study numbered 517, of which 229 were husbands and 288 were wives. The independent variables were divided into three factors including personal, financial, and work related variables. The results of this study were as follows. Among two earner households, both husbands and wives expected the husband's age of retirement to be higher than of the wife. The difference between the husband's expected age of retirement and the wife's expected age of retirement was five years, on average. For the husband, personal, financial, and work related variables had effects on his expected age of retirement. However, for the wife it was only the perception of future work life and expected age of retirement of the partner which had very significant effects statistically. The variables affecting the difference between the expected age of retirement of the husband and that of the wife included the personal variables as well as interaction of the couple related variables. The results showed that first of all, the planning of retirement among two earner households needs to be focused on the couple rather than on the individual.
Based on the theoretical framework of the Double ABCX model of family stress and adaptation, this study was to analysis the causal relationships of stressors (psychological sexual, and physical wife abuse), personal resources (self-efficacy and self-esteem) and social support(emotional and informational support), appraisal(positive appraisal and downward comparisons) with adaptation (psychological well-being and somatic symptoms). Self-administered questionnaire method was used to collect data from 264 wives residing in Chonbuk-do and Kyonggi-do area. The causal model was tested and modified by the maximum likelihood method using UISREL 7 program. Results showed that wife abuse had effect on adaptation indirectly through the latent variables of personal resource and appraisal, which influenced the adaptation directly. In addition, social support indirectly affect the adaptation through personal resource and appraisal. It was also found that all these variables explained 27.6% of the total variance of wives'adaptation, and that personal resources was the most powerful variable in predicting the adaptation of the wives.
Not much attention has been paid to the characteristics of successful MIS in small business in Korea. This study compares the characteristics of successful MIS with those of less successful MIS of manufacturing industry in Korea in terms of micro level, macro level, and personal level. The micro level consists of those variables relating to the system development and maintenance while the macro level consists of the environmental variables relating to the information systems. The personal level measures a personal EDP experience. A mail survey was sent to small manufacturing companies to collect the data for the hypothesis tests. And 81 usable questionnaires were returned for data analysis. This study performs the validity of the categorization of variables in terms of three levels. The results shows that this categorization is appropriate but the personal level. As the personal experiences of EDP in Korea used to come up with those of the organization, the variables in the personal level have high correlations with those in the macro level in empirical testing. As the personal level, however, is different dimension from the macro level in theoretical aspect, the level is maintained separately throughout the study. The data were analyzed with MANOVA and two group discriminant analysis. The analyses reveal that the characteristics of successful MIS are different from those of less successful MIS in terms of three levels. And the micro level is more important than the macro level to develop successful MIS. That is because the organizations have relatively few experience in dealing with information systems, they have not developed unique information systems which are adjusted to their organizational characteristics. Those findings seems to be important determinants of success for the MIS in a firm.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of personal and parental variables on perfectionism of gifted children. The study subjects were 113 gifted children who were taking a special educational program at D academy of Gifted Education, located in the city of Taegu. They were in the 5th and 6th grades at elementary school. The instruments of measurement were Perfectionism Scale, Achievement Goal Scale, and Parenting Behavior Scale. The major findings of this study are as follows 1) The gifted children's perfectionism didn't have any significant difference according to nx, grade, and parent's educational level. 2) There were significant correlations between the gifted children's perfectionism and achievement goal. 3) There were significant correlations between the gifted children's perfectionism and parent's perfectionism. 4) There were significant correlations between the gifted children's perfectionism and parenting behavior.5) Achievement goal affected perfectionism.

This study explores the variables that predict the job satisfaction of clothing salespeople. A total of 270 questionnaires obtained from clothing salespeople were submitted for analysis. The results show that job stress was a negative influence whereas customer-orientation and self-efficacy were positive influences on the job satisfaction of clothing salespeople. The relationships were repeatedly investigated by the groups divided by personal and store characteristics. Job stress was not different by job experience, job position, and the price level of the products for sale; however, customer orientation, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction were different by those factors. In the case of more experienced salespeople with high positions, job stress would not be a predictor of job satisfaction. The study findings confirmed variables predicting job satisfaction, as well as revealed some personal and store characteristics that can affect the relationships of the variables.

The purpose of this study is to find personal characteristics that affect users' cognitive characteristics of system, and to verify correlations between this users' cognitive characteristics and selection of system usage in using end -user searching systems (EUSS), For corroborative analysis of this study, preliminary model was constructed referring to Davis' Technology Acceptance Model. The model consists of exogenous variables (personal characteristics) , parameter variables (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use), and effect variables (selection of system usage), When exogenous variables affect parameter variables, exogenous variables are independent variables and parameter variables are dependent variables. In addition, in correlation of parameter variables, which have been affected by exogenous variables, with effect variables, parameter variables are independent variables and effect variables are dependent variables, As for the research methodology, this study regards the Academic Information System connected with the Internet as EUSS, So questionnaires have been sent to researchers in universities who were conducting direct searching for the system. 229 valid responses to questionnaires have been analyzed according to Pearson Correlation Analysis and Stepwise Selection of Multiple Regression in the statistical software packages, 'SPSS PC+'. The findings and conclusions made in this study are summarized as follows; 1. Among the personal characteristics (age, disciplinary, computer literacy level, perceived usefulness of use education and training, perceived satisfaction of end-user searching, perceived satisfaction of system characteristics), all characteristics but age affect perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Specifically, perceived satisfaction of end user searching and perceived satisfaction of system characteristics most affect perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use respectively. 2. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have a direct effect on selection of system usage in using EUSS. 3, Perceived usefulness more affect selection of system usage than perceived ease of use in using EUSS.
The purpose of this study was to find out conflict of preservice teachers affected by the role recognition and performance of cooperating teachers in the early childhood education practicum. The following research questions were established in order to achieve this purpose. First, Is there any differences in conflict of preservice teachers according to their personal variables? Second, Is there any differences in the role recognition and performance of cooperating teachers according to their personal variables? Third, Is there any differences in conflict of preservice teachers according to the role recognition and performance of cooperating teachers? The subjects of this study were 214 pairs of cooperating teachers who taught preservice teachers. The data were collected with the role recognition and performance of cooperating teachers and conflict of preservice teacher instrument and analyzed by t-test and ANOVA using SPSS 14.0 software. The results show that there was significantly difference conflict of preservice teachers according to their personal variables. Second, there was significantly differences the role recognition and performance of cooperating teachers according to their personal variables. Third, there was significantly differences conflict of preservice teachers affected by the role recognition and performance of cooperating teachers in the early childhood education practicum.
Understanding consumers' being well and stylishly dressed is a key for marketers' success in ever changing fashion industry. The purpose of this study is to identify the antecedents of dressing style. As antecedents, personal values and clothing-related variables were considered: this study included physical appearance, materialism, and individualism as personal values and quality conscious, price conscious, and brand conscious as clothing related variables. It was hypothesized that personal values influence dressing style both directly and indirectly through clothing related variables. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul, using convenience sampling. Three hundred eleven questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis, exploratory factor analysis using SPSS and confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis using structural equation modeling. The results showed that all the fit statistics for the variable measures were quite acceptable. In addition, the overall fits of the model suggest that the model fits the data well. The hypothesized relationship test also showed that individualism among personal values directly influences dressing style and that only price consciousness among clothing-related variables influences dressing style. With respect to the relative importance, individualism showed the largest standardized regression weight. The results suggest effective product, price, and promotion strategies for marketers whose target market is style conscious consumers.
Objectives: The study aims to examine the influence of university students' sociodemographic variables, parents' variables, and personal variables on their level of depression. Method: The study included a total of 334 university students enrolled in Busan. The data were used to perform correlational analysis and hierarchical regression analysis and were processed using the SPSS 23.0 program. Results: The main results of this study were as follows: First, the hierarchical regression analyses revealed that the most influential model was the model of personal variables. Among the personal variables, self-esteem was the most influential factor responsible for university students developing depression - the higher their level of self-esteem, the lower their level of depression. Among the parent variables, attachment to their father was the second most significant influence on the depression level of university students. Conclusions: This study showed that, in addition to attachment to their father, their self-esteem was highly significant in predicting university students' depression. The results of these findings have implications for future research in the form of programs and education to improve the relationship with fathers. Furthermore, the results of this study could be used to help and provide basic resources to alleviate and prevent university students' depression by strengthening their self-esteem.
