  • 접지된 유전체슬랩 위에 주기적으로 스트립이 놓여있는 격자구조에 대한 전자파 산란현상을 반사격자(reflection grating) 관점과 누설파안테나(leaky wave antenna) 관점에서 조사하였다. 수치해석 결과로 입사파의 편파에 무관한 Bragg blazing 현실과 동시에 Bragg 및 off-Bragg blazing 현상이 확인되는 경우를 조사하였으며 그 특성(복소전파상수, 복사패턴, 산란특성)에 대하여 논의하였다.

  • This paper presents calculated results for the infinite phased arrays of the probe-fed rectagualr microstrip patches. A numerical model that is based on a rigorous Green's function and galerkin solutionsis is described. In an arbitrary scan plane, the input impedance and the input reflection coefficient versus the scand angle are calculated. The effects of substrate parameters on the phased arry antenna are considered. The scan blindness phenomenon due to the surface wave is observed and the input impedance bandwidth in the arbitrary scan plane is calculated.

  • The problem of Smith-Purcell radiation by a strip grating over a groundeddielectric slabl is analyzed by use of the equivalence principle, Floquet's theorem, and the method of moment. the relative radiation intensities of the space harmonics, computed by use of the proposed method, for the appropriately chosen charge velocities and grating dimensions are presented. In particular, some relationships between the smith-purcell radiation and the leaky-wave radiation in the proposed geometry are investigated.

  • It is suggested that the light extraction efficiency of the display device can be improved by adoption of periodic array of sub-wavelength scale structures. The relief of the total reflection has been investigated using the rigorous coupled wave analysis (RCWA). Various shape of the sub-wavelength scale structure allowed to have non vanishing transmittance for the light rays with the incident angle bigger than the critical angle.

  • 본 논문에서는 격자구조의 유전체에 수직으로 입사된 전자기파의 산란, 투과 특성을 얇은 위상 막 근사화 이론을 이용하여 분석하였다. 위상 막 근사화 이론은 격자구조가 입사되는 전자기파의 위상 변화만을 주는 것으로 간주하는 것으로 이를 이용하여 격자구조를 통과한 직후인 근거리 필드 분포를 TE 모드에서 계산하였다. 기존의 제시된 이론에 비해 비교적 간단하고 빠르게 산란 필드를 분석할 수 있다.

  • It is generally known that many cases of pathological rough voice are characterized not by simple random perturbations but by quasi-periodic perturbations in the speech wave. However, there are few studies on the characteristics of perturbations in vocal fold vibrations associated with this type of voice. We have been conducting studies of pathological vocal fold vibration using a high-speed digital image recording system developed by our institute, Compared to the ordinary high-speed-motion picture system, the present system is compact and simple to operate and thus, it suited for pathological data collection. PCB-Embedded Antenna for 80 GHz Chip-to-Chip Communication

  • We propose a printed circuit board (PCB)-embedded antenna for millimeter-wave chip-to-chip communication. The antenna is 0.18 mm in height which is 1/20 wavelength at 80 GHz. In order to realize such a low profile, a zeroth-order resonator antenna with a periodic array of four unit cells is employed, and its geometry is optimized to cover an 8-GHz bandwidth from 76 to 84 GHz. With this;the antenna is capable of radiating in a direction parallel to the board length despite the short distance between the ground and the radiator. Simulation and measurement results show that the optimized design has low reflection coefficients and consistent radiation patterns throughout the target bandwidth.

  • Inkjet printing technology with a drop-on-demand (DOD) inkget head technology has been recognized as one of versatile and low cost manufacturing tools in the electronics industry. Concerned with control of driving signal, however, general strategy to optimize jetting stability has not been understood well, because of the inherent complex multi-physics nature in inkjet phenomena. Motivated by this, present study investigates the effect of driving waveforms of piezoelectric head on jetting characteristics of DOD inkjet system focused on jetting stability with phase matching of pressure waves in the print head. The results show that velocities and volumes of the ink jetted droplets were linear relations with the driving signal's maximum voltage, while periodic behaviors are observed with the driving signal's pulse widths.
