실감형 모델링을 위한 볼륨 햅틱 렌더링 알고리즘 (Volume Haptic Rendering Algorithm for Realistic Modeling)

  • Realistic Modeling is to maximize the reality of the environment in which perception is made by virtual environment or remote control using two or more senses of human. Especially, the field of haptic rendering, which provides reality through interaction of visual and tactual sense in realistic model, has brought attention. Haptic rendering calculates the force caused by model deformation during interaction with a virtual model and returns it to the user. Deformable model in the haptic rendering has more complexity than a rigid body because the deformation is calculated inside as well as the outside the model. For this model, Gibson suggested the 3D ChainMail algorithm using volumetric data. However, in case of the deformable model with non-homogeneous materials, there were some discordances between visual and tactual sense information when calculating the force-feedback in real time. Therefore, we propose an algorithm for the Volume Haptic Rendering of non-homogeneous deformable object that reflects the force-feedback consistently in real time, depending on visual information (the amount of deformation), without any post-processing.

  • 볼륨렌더링은 주로 의학 및 과학 분야에서 사용되는 기법이었으나, 하드웨어의 발달과 더불어 다양한 응용프로그램에서의 적용이 가능해짐에 따라 볼륨렌더링에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 볼륨렌더링의 시각화에 있어서 쉐이딩은 물체의 깊이 정보를 효율적으로 전달하여 시각적 인지에 큰 도움이 된다. 전역조명을 사용하면 시각적 인지를 향상시킬 수 있지만, 많은 GPU 메모리의 사용과 긴 연산시간으로 인해 프로그램과의 상호작용에 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 렌더링 속도의 저하를 최소화하며 볼륨렌더링에 사실적인 쉐이딩을 적용하기 위하여 이미지 공간 폐색 쉐이딩 모델을 제안하고자 한다.

The Effects of Training on the Proper Use of Respiratory Rate Measurement Devices for Providing High-Quality Artificial Ventilation

  • 본 연구는 2급 응급구조사가 호흡부전 및 호흡정지 환자에게 백-밸브 마스크(BVM) 인공호흡 시 호흡량 측정기를 사용하여 적정량의 호흡량과 및 성공률을 알아보고자 한다. 연구는 2023년 12월 11일부터 12일까지 D 대학교에 재학 중인 2급 응급구조사를 대상으로 20명을 선정하여 10명은 호흡량 측정기를 이용하여 BVM 인공호흡을 교육한 실험군으로, 다른 10명은 호흡량 측정기 없이 BVM 인공호흡을 교육한 대조군으로 선정하여 2분간 인공호흡을 제공하는 실험을 하였다. 연구 결과, 대조군에서는 정확한 호흡량을 제공하지 못하였고(p=.025), 호흡 성공률 역시 실험군에서는 2분간 호흡 성공률이 높았으나 대조군에서는 유의한 차이를 보였으며(p=.001), 주관적 호흡량과 측정된 객관적 호흡량이 대조군에서 유의한 차이를 보였다(p=.010). 따라서 호흡량 측정기를 사용한 교육은 2급 응급구조사가 느끼는 주관적 호흡량을 객관적 호흡량과 일치시키고 호흡 성공률을 높여 호흡부전 및 호흡정지와 심폐소생술 시 심장정지 환자의 생존율을 높이는 데 도움이 될 것이다.

40세 이상 여성의 요실금 유병률, 1회 배뇨량, 잔뇨량, 빈뇨 및 야뇨 (Prevalence of Urinary Incontinence, Single Voided Volume, Post Void Residual Volume, Daytime Frequency, and Nocturia in Women over 40 Years)

  • Purpose: This prospective study was designed to investigate the prevalence of urinary incontinence (UI), voided volume, post void residual volume (PVRV), daytime frequency and nocturia in women over 40 years. Methods: The sample comprised of 302 women over 40 years.The study lasted from February 2008 to November 2009. Data about daytime frequency and nocturia were gathered from 48 hour bladder diary. Further, a PVRV was assessed through a bladder ultrasonography. Data were analyzed using the t-test, Mann Whitney test, Kruskal Wallis test and multiple regression. Results: Although the prevalence of UI among the women was as high as 70.5%, the perception rate of UI was as low as 10.8%.Single voided volume of women without or with UI was 223 mL or 198 mL (p<.001), respectively; PVRV, 25.8 mL or 23.6 mL (p=.055); daytime frequency, 5.89 or 6.96 (p<.001); nocturia, 0.99 or 1.23 (p=.040). Age (${\beta}$=0.19, p=.001), single voided volume (${\beta}$=-0.16, p=.006), and nocturia (${\beta}$=0.12, p=.034) were associated with UI. Conclusion: The prevalence of UI was found to be 70.5% among the participants. The assessment of single urinary volume and nocturia through a bladder diary lends support to identifying UI for women over 40 years.

공항지상업무시스템에 대한 서비스 수준의 평가 (Service Level Evaluation for the Airport Landside System)

  • The new concept of level of service for the airport system indicates that there must be strong stimulation to proceed with the current stereotyped service standards which are being criticised due to their being based on, either physical capacity/volume or temporal/spatial standards that directly incorporates the perception of passengers. Quantitative factors have been dealt with the main service measurements when evaluating level of service. However, the passenger's perception for the provision service at the airport system is definitely important consideration to assess level of service. To enhance the reliability of service level evaluation from the passenger's point of view, this study has adopted three main evaluation factors ; temporal/spatial factors as quantitative measurements and comfort and reasonable service factors as qualitative measurements. The multi-decision model was constructed using Fuzzy Set Theory and applied to a case study at Seoul Kimpo International Airport. Results are presented in terms of passenger satisfaction with a variety of different values.

기업의 정보처리문화와 기업 정보활동의 효과성에 관한 탐색적 연구 (Information Processing Culture and Information Processing Effectiveness : An Exploratory Study)

  • Information processing culture is presented as an integrative concept for representing the cultural aspects of organizational information processing, and its effects on organizational information processing effectiveness are investigated. Based upon a review of literature on organizational culture, the dimensions of information processing culture are drawn and validated empirically. It is found that information processing culture consists of two dimensions, information value perception and information processing rituals, the latter being further consisting of the volume of formal information processing, the structural support for information processing, and the degree of formalization for information recording and transmission. It is also found that information value perception has a strong effect on organizational information processing effectiveness. The implications of the findings are discussed.

경기화주들의 평택항에 대한 인식도와 발전전략 (A Study on the perception of shippers on the port of Pyeongtaek and its development strategies)

  • The fact that Pyeongtaek Port is located ideally at the central point of the Yellow Sea's Economic Zone and it is very close to the metropolitan area of South Korea which occupies more than 50 percent of the total trade volume in terms of tonnage is providing a good prospect of development for the Port of Pyeongtaek. This study examines the perception of shippers in Kyonggi-do on the development of Pyeongtaek Port, giving some suggestions to the Pyeongtaek Port Authority. It begins with a description of the port such as current economic status, statistics on the economy, trade and investment regarding the Port of Pyeongtaek. According to a particular questionnaire survey conducted in December 2001, the major obstacles to the utilization of the port are as follows: a shortage of liner shipping routes, lack of container handling facilities including container terminal, crane etc., and port sales promotion activity. Therefore the port should make aggressive efforts to attract container cargoes to and from China by expanding port facilities, implementing effective marketing strategies, introducing a customs-free zone/free trade zone, and strengthening port sales etc.

깻잎의 이용실태에 관한 조사 연구 (A Survey on Perilla Leaves Uses)

  • This study was focused on the analysis of questionnaire that surveyed the preference and perception on perilla leaves, known as kkaennip. 31.6% of total respondents answered that they had purchased perilla leares once or twice a month, and the volume of their purchases was offen limited to one or two bundles. Among those respondents, 50.4% surveyed that they had usually taken less than ten leaves in each meal. In the preference survey, 59.2% of total subjects responded 'like' or 'very like' on perilla leaves, and 60.5% of those subjects who favorably responded liked the flavor of the perilla leaves. On the other hand, 51.2% showed unfavorable responses due to the concern of agricultural chemicals. The favorite dishes using perilla leaves were 'kkaennip kimchi'. 'kkaennip ssam'and'kkaennip jon'in the order. The perceptions on the kkaennip kimchi in the market were considered as 'convenient'. 'not affectionate', 'fast', 'expensive' etc.

국내 중소형 컨테이너항만 물동량에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Influencing Cargo Volume of Small & Medium Container Port in Korea)

  • 항만은 우리나라와 같이 국가경제에서 수출입 의존도가 높은 국가에서는 중요기간시설이자 많은 부가가치를 창출하는 매우 중요한 역할을 맡고 있다. 중요한 시설임에도 불구하고 과거에는 항만에 대한 인식이 미흡했었으나 2000년대에 들어 세계 컨테이너 물동량이 증가하고 중국의 경제가 발전함에 따라 동북아 지역에 물동량이 많이 발생하게 되어 항만의 역할의 중요성과 인식도 변화하였다. 본 연구는 우리나라 항만 기본계획 및 항만 구분에 따른 항만 역할을 검토하여 항만 물동량에 영향을 미치는 결정요인을 연구하고자 한다. 연구의 대상으로는 부산항과 광양항 같이 글로벌 환적항만을 제외한 배후지역 물동량의 영향을 많이 받는 국내 중소형 컨테이너항만을 대상으로 정하였다. 분석결과 항만물동량에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 접안능력, 활성화정도, 연결국가수, GRDP, 제조업체수로 나타났다.

Volumetric 3D Display System Based on Rotating Dot-Matrix LEDs

  • A volumetric three-dimensional (3D) display system was presented, which utilizes a rotating two-dimensional (2D) display panel of light emitting diodes (LEDs) to generate more than 10 million volume pixels (voxels) within a cylindrical volume of 165 mm in height and 292 mm in diameter. Due to persistence of vision, momentarily addressed voxel information is perceived and fused into a 3D image. Important cues for depth perception, such as binocular parallax, accommodation, convergence and motion parallax are satisfied automatically and naturally, thus it is suitable for individual or group viewing, without the need for any special visual aids.
