Purpose - This study attempted to construct and validate a structural model of the relationship between the quality of medical services, perceived risk, reputation and customer satisfaction, which is the main concept of the relationship between large hospitals as well as small and medium hospitals and medical consumers. Through this verification, the small and medium hospitals are to find the way for wise coping in competitive situation with large hospitals. Research design, data, and methodology - This research developed a hypothesis by constructing a structural equation that reaches the satisfaction and the relationship between reputation of perceived risk and perceived risk of service quality perceptions of customers of small and medium hospitals. Research data were collected through a questionnaire survey of respondents who had medical service experience from small and medium hospital. A total data of 252 respondents were used as the sample for the final analysis and analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23. Results - As a result, the relationship of quality of medical service, reputation, and customer satisfaction among small and medium hospitals was consistent with the results of precedent studies, and the perceived risk has a significant impact on reputation, so the greater the perceived risk, the higher the preference for reputable medical institutions as large hospitals. In addition, it was found that the direct route from perceived risk to customer satisfaction was not significant, and reputation was found to have a full mediating effect on perceived risk and customer satisfaction. Customers who use small and medium hospitals prefer to use reputable medical institutions if their perceived risk is high, which is different from risk perception when specific targets are specified. Conclusions - In terms of the effect from customer satisfaction, not only the path of perceived risk → reputation → customer satisfaction, but also the quality of service quality → reputation → customer satisfaction. These findings suggest that small and medium hospitals are appropriately responding to competition with large hospitals, rather than focusing on the perceived risks and reputation of customers in establishing and utilizing competitive strategies to create new customers and preserve existing customers.
BRIS has been established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs since 2011 under Article 21 of the Act on the Preservation, Management and Utilization of Agricultural Life Resources. It is an information service that provides information related to agricultural life resources in connection with the Rural Development Administration, the Forest Service, and Korea Seed & Variety Service, Agricultural Resources and Agricultural and Livestock Quarantine Headquarters. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how the users assess the information system quality (information quality, system quality) for the current Bio Resource Information Service (BRIS). Ultimately, the structural equation modeling analyzes the causal relationship between each variable and how it responds to the user's continuous use intention. As a result, information quality among information system quality and information quality among system quality used as the main variables for the evaluation of BRIS were statistically positively influenced by users' perceived usefulness, while system quality It has been analyzed to have a positive effect on the sustained use intention. The user's continuous use intention is positively influenced by the information system quality and perceived usefulness at a statistically significant level. Especially, the perceived usefulness plays a role in mediating the user's continuous use intention.
The objective of this study is to analyze the causal relationship of hospital inpatient's perceived quality, overall satisfaction, service value, and future intention to revisit. To carry out this objective, first we analyzed the dimensions of inpatient care service quality using SERVQUAL scale. The SERVQUAL scale is based on the gap theory, that is, the difference of patients' expectations and the actually received medical care service in hospital. On the basis of this theory, we measured the inpatient's perceived service quality and overall patient satisfaction. Data was gathered from a self-administered questionnaire at a 980 bed university hospital in Inchon City. These questionnaire measuring the service quality were distributed to 250 inpatients. The response rate was 66.4%. A total of 166 questionnaires was finally analyzed. To categorize medical service quality, the factor analysis was performed on 42 items. The reliability and validity of these items was evaluated. Finally to test 6 hypotheses, we analyzed the causal relationship of service quality, overall satisfaction, service value, and intention to revisit through the structural equation modeling(SEM). The major results of this study are as follows. First, the dimension of inpatient service quality was categorized into 7 dimensions, that is, personal caring, communication, access, physical environment, facilities and equipment, cleanliness, appropriateness and health status. Second, the reliability and validity of inpatient service quality items was satisfied. Third, as a result of structural equation modeling, the effect of inpatient's perceived service quality on overall satisfaction, service value, and intention to revisit was statistically significant. And total effect on intention to revisit as the core endogenous variable was perceived service quality(1.100), patient satisfaction(0.006), and service value(0.605).
The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the customers' perceived service quality and response in the field of hotel industry. The subjects of survey for this empirical analyses are limited to the customers of deluxe hotels in Korea; data are collected from the 16 deluxe hotels amongst 27 of its kind in the Seoul, Pusan, Cheju and Kyongju area. SAS package is used for Simple Regression, Multiple Regression and the results are as follows: First, the perceived service quality shows significantly positive effect upon the customers' satisfaction; Second, the customers' perceived service quality shows significantly positive with respect to the customers' response; Third, the customers' satisfaction shows significantly positive regarding the customers' response, and the customers' satisfaction have greater influence upon the customers' response than the customers' perceived service quality; On the basis of the above empirical analyses, I propose the management implication as follows: First, the hotel management staffs should have a close relation with their customers through the customers' positive, and eventually be concemed about improving service quality and customers' satisfaction to maximize the enterprise's performance; Second, the hotel management staffs, to induce and build up the positive customers' response, should have interest in serving high-quality products and service and enforcing the proper price policy.
This study suggested a theoretical research system on the effects of corporate social responsibility in the foodservice industry upon perceived service quality. Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 509 customers and the data were analysed by frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The primary results are as follows - Three corporate social responsibility (CSR) factors were obtained - economic responsibility, legal.ethical responsibility and philanthropic responsibility. In addition, five factors were obtained from the factor analysis of perceived service quality - tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Correlation analysis showed a significant correlation between the CSR factors and the customers' perceived service quality factors. Multiple regression analysis, to verify the hypothesis, showed that CSR in the foodservice industry had a significant influence upon customers' perceived service quality; therefore, the research hypothesis was adopted. CSR, which had an effect on tangibility out of the minutely-perceived service quality factors, was indicated in the order of economic responsibility, legal ethical responsibility and philanthropic responsibility. Responsiveness, reliability, and assurance were influenced by legal ethical responsibility, economic responsibility and philanthropic responsibility, respectively, in order. Also, empathy was surveyed to be influenced by legal ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility and economic responsibility in order. Consequently, customers' evaluations of perceived service quality may be inferred to have positive effects when the customer recognizes whether the foodservice company performs social responsibility.
In recent years, speedy development of Taiwan's hotel industry intensifies market competition, customers' demands on hotel services quality also increase with the increase of their consumption consciousness, and their demands on hotel types diversify, therefore hotel industry should concern on their unique management services quality brought by their different hotel types. The current designed service system or service transmission process may fail to meet customers' demands owing to emphasizing degree gap in service quality. What is worse, it is difficult for hotel industry to actualize complete customer segregation and to provide customized services, therefore comprehensive understanding of customers' demands on the service quality of different types hotels would contribute to operating management improvement of Taiwan hotel industry. This paper divides Taiwan hotels into three types: international tourism commercial type, holiday type and motel, the general hotels. It studies the emphasize degree gap in service quality between the industry and the customers. Data analysis shows that service quality gap (perceived gap) of hotels of different types exists in several quality aspects; what's more, the perceived gaps, service quality aspects, and its items of different types of hotel are also different. After an integrated analysis, this paper puts forward a general and customer-oriented quality item suitable for hotel industry to shorten the perceived gap of service quality, so that the hotel industry could design a service system and service transfer system, which could meet most lodging customers' demands in the context of pluralized customer sources.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a tool that measures the quality of nursing service, to measure the quality of nursing service perceived by consumers, and to identify the gaps between ideal and actual nursing services. Method: A questionnaire was developed and distributed to 300 people who had been hospitalized in one of six general hospitals with quality of nursing services in five provincial cities in Korea. For data analysis, the SPSS/WIN(ver 10.0) program was used. Result: The 20 attributes included in the instrument of quality of nursing service is abstracted into 2 factors: tangibility and intangibility. In quality analysis, 15 of 20 attributes are minus scores, meaning that those nursing services are perceived as generally low. However among the minus scores' attributes, only two attributes are significant statistically. Gaps between importance and performance of the nursing service exists in 19 among 20 attributes. Conclusion: Nursing service quality (performance-expectation) needs to be improved, and Gaps (importance-performance) reduced. In addition, a tool measuring nursing service quality has to be developed so nurses can deal successfully with the quality and gaps of nursing service perceived by consumers.
This paper is aimed to exam factors in the perceived service quality of web portal site and to analyze their effects on customer satisfaction. And this paper analysis satisfaction effects on revisit intention. To accomplish this purpose, this study examined previous studies and summarized core factors of service quality. Form literature survey, we drawn core factors. They are convenience, technologies, valuable of contents and service, communication, positioning. These core factors will affect on customer trust, satisfaction and satisfaction will affect on revisit intention. This study examined previous studies and summarized core factor in perceived service quality of web portal site. Fourteenth hypothesis were developed. Data for empirical testing were collected through survey to portal sites user. The results of this study are as follows; First, we find that service, communication and positioning have positive influence on the trust. Second, convenience, valuable of contents and postioning factors have a positive influence on the satisfaction. Third, it is shown that satisfaction have a positive influence on the revisit intention.
The purpose of this study was to measure the effects of the perceived sacrifice, service quality, value and satisfaction on the intention to revisit restaurants. A total of 273 questionnaires were completed. The equation model was used to measure the causal effects. The results demonstrated that the confirmatory factor analysis model provided an excellent model fit. The modified model yielded a significantly better fit to the data than the service quality model, and accounted for a greater share of the variance in intention to revisit than the service quality model. The effects of value and service quality on intention to revisit were statistically significant in both the service quality model and modified model. The effects of perceived sacrifice and service quality on value were statistically significant in the service quality model and modified model. As expected, service quality had a significant effect on satisfaction in the modified model. Satisfaction had a significant effect on intention to revisit in the modified model. Satisfaction also had a significant effect on service quality in the service quality model. Moreover, service quality had an indirect influence on intention to revisit through value and satisfaction in the modified model. Service quality had an indirect influence on the intention to revisit through value in the service quality model. The overall findings offer strong empirical support for the intuitive notion that improving service quality can increase favorable intention to revisit, and decrease unfavorable intention to revisit.
Due to the diversification of the food industry and its heightened competition, the marketing strategy to be required the most would be to improve competitiveness by enhancing customer loyalty as a resulting variable of customer satisfaction. Thus, this study, taking a food service provider as a subject, is to find factors and the scope of the perceived quality ; and to analyze how far the perceived service quality factor as such could explain customer′s overall satisfaction and customer loyalty ; finally to provide basic data for establishing a customer satisfaction marketing strategy as related to customer loyalty. The results of the study are as below. 1) 25 factors of service quality perceived by a food service provider have been categorized into 8 independent dimensions through factor analysis. Each of them are named ′Employee attitude′, ′Cleanliness′, ′Reputation′, ′Reliability′, ′Food′, ′Price′, ′Convenience′, ′Variety′, all of which explain 64.3% of the service again quality perception level. 2) After classifying customers into 3 groups according to two criteria -"will buy the service again" and "will suggest it to others" and making a pair of service providers with each customer, each customer loyalty group compared the service quality perception factor of the food service provider. The result was that the group having both the " will buy the service again" and "will suggest to others" criteria, that is, with higher loyalty, tend to have higher points than other group s in the dimension of ′Employee attitude′ and ′ Cleanliness′(p〈0.05), which means these two dimensions are closely related to customer loyalty. 3) From a regression analysis for the service quality perception level of the food service provider and overall satisfaction, it has been found that : the regression models are different for each group, that ′Employee attitude′ seems to be related more closely to the group with higher loyalty(p〈0.05); that the ′Price′dimension is found to be a meaningful factor to the group categorized not having "will buy the service again" and "will suggest to others" criteria(p〈0.05).
