In this paper, we described an approach to design of precision optical system for visual inspection of solder joint defects of SMC(surface mount components) on PCBs(Printed Circuit Board). The illumination system, consisting of three tiered LED lamps and one main camera and four side view camera, is implemented to generated iso-contour on the solder joint according to gradient of the soldered surface. We analyze LED design parameter such as incident angle, diameter of LED ring, and so on to acquire uniform illumination.

Digital hearing aids enclose $6{\sim}8$ tiny components. Those electromechanical components are individually wired by soldering which is a manual labor and sometimes causes components' damage by heating. This paper suggests a PCB design for overcome these problems. Several PCBs are designed and manufactured and circuited to produce ITE(In The Ear) type hearing aids which are inserted in the ear canal. The most optimal size of the PCB design for the ITE hearing aid is presented in this paper.

In terms of the risk assessment, qualitative and quantitative informations are needed to estimate the exposures of environmental pollutants, which may be potentiality of risks, and those are the information about the changes caused by the chemical transportation among environmental media and transformation in environmental media by duration. The various fate mechanism of chemical is possible for estimation of chemical concentration in environmental media. Since there are limitations in measuring the change of chemical concentration within all medium according to the time period, estimating method through modeling are developed.

월남전 고엽제 피해와 도시 폐기물 소각로 문제로 일반에게 알려진 다이옥신(Dioxins and Furans)은 기존의 연구결과 토양, 호수와 강의 바닥, 대기, 수계생물, 동식물 및 인체조직 등 거의 모든 자연환경에 존재하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 특히 도시의 대기는 도시 폐기물 소각로나 자동차 등 화것 연료의 연소에 의해 배출되는 다이옥신, PCBs, PAH 등 많은 오염 물질을 함유하고 있는데 이 중 독성이 가장 높은 물질이 다이옥신이다.(중략)

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are ubiquitous environmental contaminants, and many of their toxic effects, including their immunotoxicities, are mediated by the activation of aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR). We previously reported that Aroclor 1254, one of the most widely used PCB mixtures, increased DNA fragmentation in mouse spleen cells, suggesting that apoptosis was correlated with the immunotoxicity of PCB (Yoo et al., 1997).(omitted)

수계환경의 오염 실상을 파악하기 위해서 어류의 혈액화학적 변화는 수중의 오염물질에 의해서 그 구성이 변동되므로, 수계환경의 오염수준을 감시하는 유용한 수단으로 활용되고 있다(Khattak and Hafeez, 1996). PCBs(Polychlorinated biphenyls)는 열에 안전하고 전기 절연성이 좋은 특성을 가지고 있어 1929년부터 미국의 Monsanto사에서 Arochlor란 이름으로 시판되어 상업적으로 이용되기 시작하였다(Hutzinger. et al., 1986). (중략)
