  • The purpose of this work is to analyze the factors, criteria and importance that shippers in the international logistics industry take into account in choosing third-party logistics, and thereby to propose the directions of the areas and functions that third-party logistics will need to enhance on the basis of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology. To do that, this work collected and analyzed materials about changing environments of logistic industry and previous studies, and especially conducted a questionnaire survey on the factors to choose third-party logistics with the study subjects of shippers in the international logistics industry. To draw attribute factors, this work repeatedly chose and classified candidate factors through Delphi technique on the basis of the data of previous studies. The analysis results are presented as follows: regarding pairwise comparison between logistic cost and logistic service in relation of conflict, logistic service was recognized to be more important than logistic cost; regarding pairwise comparison between corporate capability and logistic cost, logistic cost was recognized to be more important; and regarding comprehensive evaluation, logistic service factors, including accuracy of order handling, service reliability, freight damage and compensation, a degree of fulfillment of promise, quality of transportation, and problem-solving ability, were found to be in high position.

  • As to the sphere of application, Article 78 CISG undoubtedly applies to interest on the purchase price. Furthermore, the provision also applies to "any other sum that is in arrears". This language has been interpreted to encompass expenses that one party had on behalf of the other as well as reimbursements when the purchase price is reduced according to Article 50 CISG. However, it is questionable whether this language also extends to claims for damages. Legal scholars seem to agree that one has a right to interest on damage claims under Article 78 if the amount in question has been liquidated vis-a-vis the other party. Whether this right to interest also applies to unliquidated sums, is controversial, however. In this study, as a result of taking into account the puspose of Article 78, we could find the fact that regardless of whether the exact amount of damages has been specified yet, the breaching party still owes compensation to the other party from the time of the breach and, accordingly, the non-breaching party should be entitled to interest payments on the loss from that time. Consequently, Article 78 applies not only to liquidated but also to unliquidated damages.

  • B2C e-commerce is now sufficiently stable. Judging from its success, we can expect B2B to similarly improve business processes for a better return on investment. To achieve B2B e-commerce, many consortia have been trying to develop a B2B framework. As a result, the ebXML is started as an international standard for B2B e- commerce based on XML. The exchange of information between two parties requires each party to know the other party's supported business collaborations, the other party's role in the business collaboration, and the technology details about how the other party sends and receive messages. In some cases, it is necessary for the two parties to reach agreement on some of the details. The ebXML CPP and CPA specification defines how to describe these. In this paper, we'll describe our design and implementation of an ebXML CPP and CPA editor which enables each party to create and edit his profiles and which automatically composites two CPPs. Although it is possible to create and edit CPP and CPA documents with general-purpose XML editor, it is not easy to create and edit CPP and CPA documents with a general-purpose XML editor. Moreover, the detailed procedures for CPA formation from CPPs are currently not provided in the specification. Therefore, we propose two approaches for a CPA formation in addition to easy-to-use user interface.

  • Recently farming succession has become an important topic in agriculture in order to secure agricultural manpower in response to the aging of farming households and declining population. This study investigates farmers and agricultural college students' perception of farming succession in Korea, especially of farming succession to a third party. Farmers and agricultural college students are potential farming transferors and successors, respectively. We surveyed 146 farmers and 95 students who graduated or were studying at the Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries. The questions of the survey are largely divided into four categories: 1) the will and scope of farming transfer and succession, 2) the requirements for the successors of farming, 3) the perception on the succession to third-parties, and 4) the farming succession policy. According to the survey results 41.4% of farmers and 46.3% of potential farming successors have willingness to accept a farming succession to a third party. When farming succession was carried out through the Farming Succession Exchange, 46.8% of farmers and 54.7% of successors said they are willing to carry out third-party farming succession. This means that a third-party farming succession could be activated if the reliability issue that may arise during the farming succession is resolved through the Farming Succession Exchange. Other implications for farming succession are suggested at the end of this study.

  • In an effort to gain competitiveness, recently many companies are trying to outsource their logistics activities to the logistics specialists, while concentrating on their core and strategic business area. Because of this trend, the third party logistics comes to the fore, catching people's attention, and expanding its market rapidly. Under these circumstances, the third party logistics companies are making every effort to improve their logistics services and to develop an information system in order to enhance their competitiveness. In particular, among these efforts one of the critical parts is the decision support system for effective transportation network planning. To this end, this study has developed an efficient decision support system for an optimal transportation network planning by comprehensively considering the transportation mode, routing, assignment, and schedule. As a result of this study, the new system enables the expansion of the third party logistics companies' services including the multimodal transportation, not to mention one mode of transportation, and also gets them ready to plan an international transportation network.

  • The detection of human behavior from social media revolutionized health, business, criminal and political prediction. Significance of it, in incentive transformation of public opinion had already proven for developed countries in improving democratic process of elections. In $3^{rd}$ World countries, voters poll votes for personal interests being unaware of party manifesto or national interest. These issues can be addressed by social media, resulting as ongoing process of improvement for presently adopted electoral procedures. On the optimistic side, people of such countries applied social media to garner support and campaign for political parties in General Elections. Political leaders, parties, and people empowered themselves with social media, in disseminating party's agenda and advocacy of party's ideology on social media without much campaigning cost. To study effectiveness of social media inferred from individual's political behavior, large scale analysis, sentiment detection & tweet classification was done in order to classify, predict and forecast election results. The experimental results depicts that social media content can be used as an effective indicator for capturing political behaviors of different parties positive, negative and neutral behavior of the party followers as well as party campaign impact can be predicted from the analysis.

  • This study addresses the issue of the continuity in Indonesia's party system with respect to Islam, authoritarian legacy and income, using the urban-based individual face-to-face survey data. The existing studies focus on the historical continuity of the Indonesian party system between the 1955 and 1999 democratic elections. Yet, this study deals with the continuity and discontinuity between the pre-transitional 1997 election and the transitional 1999 election. It finds that the effect of Islam is largely independent of the democratic transition: Islam-oriented voters under the authoritarian rule tend to remain in the Islamic camp even during and after the democratic transition, while most of the secular voters prior to the democratic transition continue to shun any Islamic parties during the democratization. The effect of authoritarian legacy is also found to be meaningful, even if not as sticky as Islam. Finally, the variable of income is significant. Contrary to the popular belief, the PDIP is not a party of the urban poor but the PPP is the urban poor's favorite choice. This implies the linkage between poverty and political Islam.

  • The industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is characterized by intelligent connection, real-time data processing, collaborative monitoring, and automatic information processing. The heterogeneous IIoT devices require a high data rate, high reliability, high coverage, and low delay, thus posing a significant challenge to information security. High-performance edge and cloud servers are a good backup solution for IIoT devices with limited capabilities. However, privacy leakage and network attack cases may occur in heterogeneous IIoT environments. Cloud-based multi-party computing is a reliable privacy-protecting technology that encourages multiparty participation in joint computing without privacy disclosure. However, the default cloud selection method does not meet the heterogeneous IIoT requirements. The server can be dishonest, significantly increasing the probability of multi-party computation failure or inefficiency. This paper proposes a blockchain and smart contract-based optimized cloud node selection framework. Different participants choose the best server that meets their performance demands, considering the communication delay. Smart contracts provide a progressive request mechanism to increase participation. The simulation results show that our framework improves overall multi-party computing efficiency by up to 44.73%.

  • Fingerprinting scheme is a technique which supports the copyright protection to track redistributors of digital content using cryptographic techniques. These schemes enable the original merchant to identify the original buyer of the digital data by embedding fingerprints into digital contents. Asymmetric property of fingerprinting schemes is important to keep the buyer's privacy. In this paper, we propose a symmetric encryption based fingerprinting protocol without trusted third party. Our scheme enables the reduction of computational costs for the encryption using symmetric key encryption scheme. Since a trusted third party doesn't take part in making the fingerprint of each buyer, the protocol doesn't need to control the trusted third party and it is more secure against collusion attack.
